Like the other post states this place isn't as bad as the 1star makes it out to be, granted I'm at Brentwood Apartments (owned by Ravine Woods) the manager is always there, helpful whenever contacted, and has never given me signs of an ill-willed person. anytime we needed something fixed, the maintenance was there the next Business day. I couldn't give below 4 stars even if I wanted to. Ignore the 1 Star, listen to actual renters. read more

I used to live there and I was charged 2 months extra rent when I did not leave my apartment until my lease was over. Crystal Houchins the manager of Ravine woods are having a creditor report false information on my husband and I credit report. The amount is for a lease break penalty when we didn't break our lease and have a utility bill showing that we lived in the apartment until the end of our lease. Can someone please tell Crystal houchins to remove this 2 month lease break penalty so we can resolve this matter read more

Ravine woods is the most awful place to live on the planet.!!! I am going on three years of renting from this god awful place. Let's start by the first year I moved in. I was shocked to come home to my children's closet full of sewage that was spewed from my upstairs neighbors toilet and when I called the office I was told to put a fan in here to clean it. The walls in the closet were molded and they did nothing until I called and called because the smell was terrible. Oh, did I mention the bug? If u are afraid of bugs this isn't the place because we residents have every single kind of spider/ bug here. Then there was the flood of 2013...I lost everything to my name and was forced to move out. I was talked to like my well being and my things didn't matter. When I was offered another apartment because mine was waist deep in sewage water I was told I couldn't move in until the maintenance man moved out...so, I was forced to live with family for two months. When I did get the apartment it was not cleaned and had to be professionally cleaned (at my expense) I was told I HAD to sign a lease because it's a new apartment even tho my old one was ruined. I had no choice to do so because I was homeless and was desperate. In the mean time in the last 6 months of living in 241 I have had a man walk in while I was sleeping, a homeless lady try coming in my front door and had to have the cops called, went to go to work and almost stumbled on a wasted resident in the hallway, OH and we have peeping toms!!!! When I confronted the office manager about how a few residents are afraid because there is a resident that looks into single women's windows she chuckled and said he was harmless...he just likes pretty women. When u have a concern the office manager is NEVER in the office...cops are called every single day for the crazy people the new office manager is letting in. I moved here because before the new owners they looked into the kind of renters...now they let anyone in no matter if u have a past. It is the ghetto here and would never recommend this place. Where to start, I was a Ravine Woods Tenant for over three years, there were ups and there were downs, all of which were far below what you would consider "average". Before I rant of all the hours I've lost dealing with this complex, just heed my advice STAY AWAY. I was willing to pay $100 more per month to rent elsewhere in town and the difference is completely night and day. The complex is grossly mismanaged by a single person with limited hours, while the last iteration named "Angie" was no gem, she at least had the decency to be friendly when you complained about the endless bug infestation, dirt covered halls, cigarette butts or leaky ceiling. But worse yet when the complex hired new rental manger "Crystal", Ravine Woods had reached new lows. Not only was her constant attitude problem exhausting to deal with, it was almost as if she told maintenance to specifically ignore your unit until the fifth time you complained. Nothing ever got done, paperwork would rot on her desk, and she would seemingly try to dodge your calls, and since she conveniently only worked 9am to 3pm, you would never get to see her in person unless you took a day off. Maintenance was inept at best, malicious at worst. In my time at Ravine Woods many people alleged theft to the maintenance personnel who seemed to never be able to complete a job in less than two weeks. Random seedy looking personnel will pace your apartment, make some grunting noises, say something about needing parts, and you might never see them again. You'll be cold all winter and hot all summer, the "central air" is a complete farce thanks to neglect. Windows will be drafty if you're lucky enough for them to shut at all. I won't even go into the flood of 2013, the levels of terrible this complex is able to achieve is really astounding in such a quiet town. read more

I've lived here for a little over 3 years. I do like it here. I've never had problems with anything major in my apartment. But the things that needed to be fixed or replaced were done so immediately. I'd recommend it! read more

I read the review above. I don't understand what this person is talking about... I agree that before new management took over more than a year ago, it was a free for all here. But in the last year it has been wonderful living here ! There is a new fitness center, a new pool and it is right next door to a state park if you are an active person ! The apartments are well kept up and all my neighbors are great people ! I would say check it out in the community and make up your own mind ! read more
