Not a good place for regular grocery shopping (unless you don't care about costs or produce freshness) but it's ok and convenient for a quick stop. I can't speak to the meat situation since I don't usually buy it. Most people are friendly. One cashier whose been there for some time used to lecture me on how masks and immunizations are a conspiracy, etc. I was completely turned off and avoided the store for a long time. Someone must have spoken to her because she finally stopped. with the MAGA crap.

I will always remember the food...pan de sol freshly baked and sold outside your door, banana ketchup, pancit noodles. They are all now available right here at the new Middletown Market on Main Street. Just opening but ready to go! The amount of merchandise, fresh fruits and vegetables, fish and prepared foods is amazing. I was too early to get some pancit but bought a package of noodles to prepare something tonight. Nicest people ever and they seemed to understand my Tagalog which I haven't spoken for years. But it all came back in the midst of a plentitude of food. Welcome to the neighborhood and I will be back soon.

It is a take-out restaurant with grocery store. Went today and had a combo meal with Pancit (noodles & vegetables), rice, and goat curry (not for the faint of heart!). The curry was spicy but the rice was a nice buffer. The Pancit was like what I grew up with! There was also "just like home" pork BBQ sticks, garlicky and flavorful. Also great with rice! The lumpia came with a nice sweet and sour sauce. The best part of the meal, though, was the halo halo for dessert. If you've never tried it, it is a must! Shaved ice with jelly, tapioca, jackfruit and coconut, layered with ube jam and ube ice cream. It's sweet, cold and refreshing. My whole family is so excited to have a local Filipino restaurant nearby. We have told our local Filipino friends and relatives and will definitely be back!

The kitchen they had previously was some warming trays kept off to the side. Good food but very much a quick bite place. They just expanded their food options though, so decided to give them a proper review. The display and kitchen are pretty nice looking. Their selection is limited but they have all the staples. I get their korma platter, two katis, a couple samosas and a samosa chaat. It took them a little while to assemble everything. They are new and haven't figured out how to handle rushes yet. I bought my food, took it home for pics, then dug in. Flavor-wise, it was okay. The fish Kati was good. Lots of fresh veggies and the fish was properly cooked. Good amount of sauce and a grilled pita. The chicken in the Kati and the korma were a little dry, but seasoned well. The rice was lightly seasoned and the salad was fresh. Not bad as a bite, but lacking punch. The samosa chaat was missing spice. Too heavy on the tomato sauce, needed more spice. The veggie samosas were really good though. When ringing me up, they messed up on the register and overcharged me a dollar. Even with that mess up, it still was relatively cheap. For everything, was about 30 bucks for everything. They also forgot to pack sauces that I asked for, but once again they are new. As a grocery store, it's good prices and fresh products. As a street food locale, it's good for quick bites but there are growing pains. Go in with an open mind and patience, and you'll get some good cheap eats.
