It is a shame it is at the old end of town, which does not get as much footfall as the newer part - I am sure more people would use it if it was in a busier location. Once inside, the library is well stocked and has a very good reference section. The staff are all pleasant, knowledgeable and have mainly been there a long time.

This library has a lage collection of CD's and DVD's which I know some do not have. Even though it costs 50p to a £1 to get them out, it's still a lot cheaper than buying them. In the last couple of years they have really tried to make the Library a nicer place - they have a lot more activities for children now and they have also put a little cafe in. The availability of computers is also good. I feel this library is accesible to everyone as they have a lift to reach all the levels.

It is a fairly big library with plenty of choice for adults and children and they hire out DVDs and CDs as well as books for a small fee. I often borrow CDs as they have a pretty good range. There is also an area which has about 6 computers where you can pay a small fee to use the internet which is very useful if you do not have internet access at home. There is no allocated parking near the library, but there are plenty of free car parks fairly close by.

I always feel welcome here, and my children and I visit for quite a while, reading and making sure they get the perfect book (I know!!). The staff are friendly and don't tell you off for bringing books back late. Internet and general PC usage is also available.

The library is up a flight of stairs although they do have a lift. It is small for a library, basically one largeish room; therefore limited selection of adult reading. Does seem to have more focus towards children's books. So maybe better for mums with small children.

They can always recommend a new book or a different author. They are open quite a wide range of hours, but I will not post the hours as the County Council keep changing them!
