I have had so much dental work done from braces, two sets of veneers, so many crowns that I am practically royal, etc. etc. etc. My visit today with Dr. Escalante was the most instant gratification visit. Absolutely love Dr. Escalante! I've been a patient of his for 20 years, I have 10 family members who also are his patients and we have always had the best dental experiences. Not only do you get to watch TV on the ceiling when getting your work done, but he plays the best music in the office so the vibe is just amazing! You never have to wait in the waiting room, your appointments are scheduled in advance and you always get a reminder call the day before your appointment from the awesome receptionist and assistant. He's been a dentist for 31 years, received his dental license from UCLA, was a dentist in the Navy, he's a one-man show doing all the hygienist work as well as restorative work, he's very professional, and makes sure he explains everything thoroughly to each and every patient. I have not been to the dentist in about a decade due to a bit of fear. Eventually had to go because of chipped tooth. Dr. Escalante was delightful. The work took no time at all and he and his receptionist were both friendly. If you are worried about a dentist pushing more work onto you, don't worry no up-selling or pressure to get any other work done. The Dr. Escalante is an excellent dentist. He is professional and does superior work. The waiting room is small, but comfortable. There are beautiful paintings on the walls and plenty of great magazines like National Geographic. We have never once had to wait for the dentist to finish working on someone else. His receptionist plans the timing of appointments perfectly. She has a great personality and is fun to talk to. My husband and I look forward to our visits every six months. After getting out of the Navy I had been hesitant about visiting a Dentist. I asked my friend who works with a dental surgeon if she could recommend a Dentist. She without hesitation recommended Dr. Escalante. I've been going to him for a number of years now. Between the wonderful staff, the great and diligent work I now feel 100% better about smiling at people. I left the dentist today and realized I've been a client there for three years already. I've told people in person about my dentist but I thought maybe it was time to tell the internet. I've had consistently excellent experiences coming here. I switched jobs and they held my appointment spot for me while my new insurance kicked in. I got married and my wife is now a client of theirs as well. My wife missed an appointment, which is unlike her, and Linda called just to see if she was okay. The place is always spotless and Dr. Escalante is professional and thorough. To top all this off, my teeth are super clean when he's done. I think when someone does their job well, they often times don't get the recognition they should. I have been going to this dentist since I was a small child and now I am in my late 30's! I love him and his assistant Linda! I go religiously every 6 months to get a cleaning and because of that I have only had 1 cavity! I recently relocated to Los Angeles 2 years ago and make the 2 hr drive down to his office with my Fiancé who has been going to him for the past 5 years as well! My entire family used to come here except my sister he lost business literally over lying!!! To me about my cavity my filling fell out and he told me it was decay and that he never worked on that tooth I asked for a print out of my sheet of all the work he did the front desk lady Linda was so rude to me while I asked for this information they went from sweet dental care people to evil rude mean liars he literally lied to me about my teeth I couldn't believe it I had to go to another dentist to find out exactly what they did to my teeth and of course the other dentist told me THE TRUTH!!! About it when I called back and let them know this they kept there rude tones with me and attitude and said what do You want done how about my teeth fixed!! Dr Escalante is an amazing dentist. Aside from taking pride in his work he has also educated more than any other dentist I've been to. I want to say I've seen 5 different dentists. Before I always walked out of a dentist wondering. He showed me multiple images and angles of my mouth. The fact he doesn't use a hygienist is a big plus. This guy is a great dentist. He's very knowledgable and does a great job. He doesn't get snarky like some dentists do if you get a cavitiy or something. His receptionist is cool also. She's funny and always wears overalls. I've been going to Dr. Escalante for almost 10 years now and have never had a problem with him. He knows what he's doing and is good at it. On Sunday I broke my front tooth. My wife called Dr. Escallante and he left his Charger party, mid game, to meet me at his office. He missed seeing the Chargers beat the Raiders, at a Raiders fans house! He x-rayed the tooth and then fixed it on the spot. Dr. Escallante is a very conscientious, performs excellent dentistry, and only does necessary procedures. It was such a relief not to see that broken tooth anymore and it was the happiest I ever left a dentist office. Dr. Escalante is a fine dentist his receptionist in the other hand does not do her job. She does not follow up with the dental insurance to make sure that the services are covered. Do not risk getting a bill from Dr. Escalante when you were under the impression that it was covered by your insurance. It is pretty sad that in order to avoid the lack of professionalism from the receptionist you have to avoid Dr. Escalante. read more
