When I experienced high blood pressure late in pregnancy, we were advised to go to the hospital--but the promised support in emergency transitions never came. My partner and I had to navigate the ER and hospital system alone while I was in and out of consciousness from a magnesium drip. The only outreach was a call asking whether we'd be returning for aftercare--not a check-in, not a gesture of compassion, not even a follow-up to acknowledge what had happened. We later discovered documentation of a hypertension diagnosis that was never discussed with us transparently. No safety plan was made. The most guidance we received came from our hypnobirthing coach--not our midwifery team. We were also exposed to COVID-19 due to lax policies around symptomatic individuals, compounding our stress and vulnerability. While a partial refund was eventually issued, the emotional impact of being left unsupported in one of the most critical moments of our lives still lingers. I truly hope Nativiti has grown and changed. But for us, what was promised and what was lived were very different.

My new OB does them in office, and with my same insurance it was less than $150. My new office also said my OB paperwork wasn't completed properly, they had to hound the office and Dr. Johnson for copies of my records, and when I requested a transfer, I was immediately dropped as a patient and my appointments cancelled. Leaving me with no OB IN THE MIDDLE OF MY PREGNANCY AT 22 weeks until my New OB accepted me. Also, the wait times are ridiculous here. Sometimes over an hour- hour 1/2. And your partner will not be able to sit with you. They must sit in the hallway. I switched to All About Women and couldnt be happier with my choice. Dr. Johnson was nice, but it wasn't worth it.
