After requesting a letter of medical necessity, required for my health savings account the response was, "Yeahhh, we don't do that. If you want a copy of your medical records that's $25." 3. I was looking at reviews of this place and there are not many recent ones. I went in November of 2022 with symptoms of perimenopause and asked for help. All they did were look at my labs (you can't diagnose Peri from labs) and try to sell me B12 shots and testosterone injections for around $300 a month. I'm a teacher. I just wanted to have a better quality of life and get rid of my joint and muscle pain and extreme fatigue and brain fog, not be sold a product and then have to take off work twice a week to drive there to get the injections they wanted me to get. Instead, I went to an online service and got an HRT patch and have started feeling better than I have in the past couple of years. read more

I have been going here every three months since December 2017, and for years I absolutely raved about HerKare. That is until Brandy left and it has been an absolute nightmare ever since, all these good reviews for HerKare is 100% Brandy, not HerKare. Every three months for the past year or so when I show up for my appointment there is an entirely new staff, reception nurses provider etc. Brandy use to sit and chat with you about symptoms, and tried her best to figure out what would help you. Since she left you are lucky to get to talk to someone for more than two minutes. Every time I get labs done I have to call them a few times to get my results looked at, and then getting them to call in a prescription is a whole other nightmare on its own. I call and call to get them to call it in, CVS calls and calls them as well. This was the fourth time this happened and I had to go to an urgent care to get a refill called in because they just don't seem to do it. I tried after Brandy with HerKare but never seeing the same person has really effected my health. One provider who was there for maybe two months before she disappeared overdosed me on thyroid meds, which is dangerous! As a person who use to highly recommend HerKare, I now highly recommend you stay away. read more

Everything went downhill fast after Brandy left. There was a huge turnover in staff and the new staff (there was a turnover every few months with the nursing staff and front desk staff after Brandy left...major red flag!)...they were just rude and made the experience miserable. They are STILL charging my card months after sending the proper request to stop all drafts. I will be filing a complaint with the BBB. Don't do business with this company. read more

This place is wonderful. Very polite and caring staff. Comfortable setting. My problem was an emergency total radical hysterectomy a few years ago, my PCP would not help me with any hormones even though I was tossed into surgical menopause. They absolutely listen and understand what you're going through. So many options, all explained with zero pressure. Only a few visits and I'm already feeling better! Short story: dont waste your time in you're there for well woman check ups. Only go if you're getting hormone replacement. Long story: initially I was so excited I found a place that will do Well woman exams who had such great reviews on bedside manner and good office personnel. So I made my appointment online (another thing I was so happy about, yay no phone calls). The day of my appointment i get there and check in, and they ask who I spoke to about my insurance. 'No one, I made the appointment online.' The receptionist raised an eyebrow at me. Rude, but okay maybe I didnt follow directions somewhere. I sit down and wait. People go back, same people leave, new people arrive, new people go back, and 45 mins later I'm still sitting there. Finally the receptionist puts my file where the triage nurse can see it, and they take me back. While she's weighing me she asks if I'm there for hormone replacement, and I say 'no, well woman, that's the option I clicked on when I booked.' I get an eye roll from her! So she sticks me in a room to go see if the Provider for that service was even there. A few mins later another little girl comes in with all the paperwork they shouldve given me almost an hour ago! A few mins after that they put me in a different room, with all the paper coverings you need for the well woman exam. She asked if I was done with the paperwork yet. Girl. You gave me 15 sheets of medical questions and release forms, and you expect me to be done?! Anyway, the well woman exam happened. And believe it or not, that was the most pleasant part of the whole damn appointment, and I'd like to say the bad was over, but it wasn't. The LPN said to call back in a week for my results. So a week passed, and I called. No results. Okay, fine, maybe I didnt give enough time. I call back 5 days later, still no results 'we have to call LabQuest, we'll call you back.' 2 weeks after my visit, I call again, 'the provider is out, what's your number we'll have her call tomorrow.' So I leave my number and wait for her call. Call didnt happen, so on my 4th call i FINALLY got test results. So, if you need a well woman check up without any hormones, dont waste your time. After this fiasco I am convinced all these people want are your money, and they wont get much from a healthy woman who isn't post menopausal. Why spend good manners on someone you dont profit from? Save yourself the headache and frustration, go see a real OBGYN. read more

It pains me to leave a bad review, but I don't know what else to do at this point. I started visiting HerKare in January and loved everything about it- the office, staff, doctors/NPs, nurses, etc. I was told my insurance was awesome and everything would be covered under a $25 copay. I kept an eye on my insurance claims and, minus my deductible, everything was covered as expected for that first visit. Fast forward two months and I am suddenly told they are out of network and I owed hundreds of dollars. I called my insurance company who had not received any claims since the initial visit and who also verified they are in network. The billing office at HerKare refuses to resubmit the claims even after agreeing to do so on a three-way call with my insurance company. I am not only upset about now having to manually submit everything to my insurance company, but also no longer being able to go to HerKare, as I loved the service they provided. read more

Ponzi medical scheme ripping off insurances with frequent patient visits and outrages fees against patient's who have Aetna because of lack of reimbursement from them. I became interested in bioidentical hormone therapy through their literature at a Mom Expo and a made appointment in September 2015. First visit was 90 minutes long, which required blood test with an in house lab machine but was limited with only a few tests to try to peek my interest. I was told my testosterone was very low, hyperthyroid was active and B12 needed a boost; all of which, can be treated in house with a shot of compounded B12 and Pfizer testosterone 100 mg at .05cc injection every 10 days... Hyperthyroid treatment was a discouraging conversation which ended with the understanding that this is considered off label medicine and not properly managed by any medical regulations. My concern was further ignited with the lack of responsibility with monitoring cancer risks once on treatment, which was stated as "NONE"... Told if there were no family history of cancer; there should not be a problem....Hmmm...? If they are injecting testosterone in me, I want vigilance in their part to successfully monitor for potential of cancer caused by their treatment -- am I asking for too much?? Lastly, I have to seriously question the results from that in house lab machine, as I had the same tests completed with my PCM and everything came back within normal average range through Quest Diagnostics. In short, this business is driven by false erroneous results to convince stay at home Mom's to feel young and sexy again, but fail to deliver responsible and quality healthcare demanded in todays medical environment. read more

I dare say that Her Kare saved my life, or at the very least, my sanity. My doctors thought I needed a therapist. My therapist send me back to my gyno to have my testosterone levels checked. Once my doctor saw that my levels were almost 0, I was put on testosterone cream. But I felt only marginally better. I had heard the commercials for Her Kare and finally decided to give them a try. I was depressed, having scary thoughts, no sex drive and it was completely unlike me. After my blood test results, they started me on a regime to help balance my hormones which were all out of whack. Within 2 months, I felt almost like my old self. A year later, some dosage adjustments later, and I feel 100% better. My hair has stopped falling out, my energy level is up, my sex drive has made a triumphant return. I could not be happier. Plus the staff is incredibly friendly and receptive. I feel like I'm seeing friends when I go in there. Brandy the nurse is fantastic, always answering every question I have and always with a smile. They're all great. I have recommended this office to several of my friends who were going through what I was going through. Okay, I don't write reviews, but this is my exception. I am 52 years old and have not felt good (inside or out) for about 3 or 4 years now. My gyno put me on an estrogen patch about 4 years ago but it only really helped with the night sweats. (and never even tested my estrogen levels) I had not had ANY energy in quite some time. I was gaining weight, my skin looked terrible. All I could do was go to work and go home. My regular doctor gave me Phentermine and Ambient. Hello! That is speed and a sleeping pill! It helped but you cant live like that forever. I had had enough! I went to HerKare thinking I may have low T. (one of my girlfriends had low T) I did not, however, I WAS very low Thyroid, low B12, low Progesterone. Brandi at HerKare in the Woodlands prescribed these things for me 2 months ago and I feel SOOO much better! I have energy...normal energy...like a normal woman should have. :) I am sleeping good. I get off work and don't go straight home to my pajamas and the couch. The scale is slowly coming down, but even if it didn't, I FEEL BETTER! I just wanted to feel better, that was my true goal. I am to young to have stopped living and that's what I had done. I had to, I was just so tiered and unsociable. I just cant say enough about how "good/normal" I feel again. I think I have been going to HerKare for almost a year and it's completely changed my life! After a hysterectomy and years of thyroid problems, where eventually my thyroid was removed due to cancer, I was just a mess. Had every symptom or side effect there is associated with both and was miserable. My husband had brought a business card home one day from a LowT center and I just thought ok and laid it down and didn't give it another thought. I really can't say how long I'd had it...it was a while...but one day I picked it up and called. Went the same day I called and all I can say is thank God I did and why did I not do it sooner!!! I can't be more serious about how wonderful it's been and how great everyone is at The Woodlands! I had 0 hormones and thyroid medication was not working either. But after a couple months or so my husband wanted to send them flowers! Brandi is awesome and such a great listener and knows her job very well!
