I walked in and gasped, I had 5 dresses to try in 2 minutes. The first one I tried I fell in love with. The most beautiful dress I have EVER seen. I quickly found my second dress for the rehearsal which Rachel picked out. I would have never have tried it myself and I immediately felt beautiful in it. All of the staff worked so hard to make it a wonderful experience. I am 60 and my body is not what it use to be. I was so discouraged with the dresses on the market that made me feel dumpy or showed too much skin. The staff helped me feel wonderful and I have the right to look beautiful whatever your body is. Yesterday, Friday November 8, 2024 I sang songs written by author/musician Heather Buchanan and Tracy Kash for Heather's newest novel titled, VICTORS. It is about Black musicians who went to France to help fight in World War I. Ultimately, they were largely responsible for our victory and when they weren't fighting they were playing music, sharing the new jazz sound which influenced not only Europe but the world. My dress, purse, fan, long strand of pearls and headpiece, all purchased from the Peacock Room in the Park Shelton were a smash hit! Again, quality. Sales people are very helpful at this location. My first time coming here I was thrown off because the guys they have folding clothes don't speak or acknowledge customers at all. But I later realize, I think, that it's because they have a sales staff to give customer service. Oh and great prices. Just amazing what you can get for under 180 bucks. I can't wait to come back.

Most items are Detroit themed - a variety of tshirt designs sporting the Detroit Muscle and Defend Detroit slogans. And speaking of shirt designs, Goods will help you create your very own design while you wait. Shirts, bags, hoodies, etc....choose your font, choose your color, choose your style, and walk out with your custom clothing creation. Upon first browse I bought a bracelet for a friend, made of recycled Starbucks gift cards (can't picture it? neither could I before I saw it.
