Let me start with the positive: it's in London, easy to find, and is centrally located. The…read moreatmosphere is really good and staff is friendly, courteous and welcoming but I felt they were somewhat stressed out. The space is small and it's really filled up with tables to a point where waiters have to navigate gingerly but it IS London and space is $$$$ but they could easily offset it with great food but alas, that wasn't the case. Perhaps, an unsuspecting non Russian tourist might enjoy the experience, but as a native, if I had to use one polite word and not a lot of Russian expletives - dreadful would be it. If you own this place or work there you will know that all pickles came from a jar. You'd know that pastries were not made by you and weren't made today but you don't charge yesterday's prices. Even the bread was ehh. Not going to list the dishes but they all were not that tasty and possibly not made by a Russian cook. Notice, I didn't even use the word "chef" which is what this type of restaurant ought to have. A MAJOR disappointment and an expensive one at that. Don't do this. If you happen to travel to LA, I will make Russian food for you or at least tell you where to go

The service of this place is absolutely wonderful! If your in London, U.K and you want a authentic…read moreRussian meal, this is exactly the place! The atmosphere of this location is very calming as it is quiet in the cuisine, it's almost as you are there alone. The staff are very polite and friendly, they speak English and Russian and probably more!

Huge disappointment…read more Starter Ox tongue salad (4/5) nice and tasty but definitely required bread (they had but we had to ask for it) presentation (poor) Main dishes Lamb Skewer - Rate (1 of 5) meat was over salted (returned back to replace with different dish) also meat was not gentle presentation (poor) Beef Skewer - Rate (3 of 5) meat was not gentle (not easy to chew) same poor presentation (said it will be cubes) - I would call it rather thin slices Chicken Skewer - Rate (2 of 5) (replacement for lamb) meat was gentle but dish was totally ruined by oily sauce (could not finish) Sides dishes - Rate (2/5) mixed salad very poor roasted potato-wedges in rosemary (pre-cooked and warmed up food) just ok roasted tomatoes - very poor quality (could not feel taste of tomatoes) Dessert & Tea Honey cake - (5/5) very good, as what you would expect. Tea was fresh and tasty (although impossible not to spill from beautiful Tea Pot) Overall This place is very new and we were excited to see some known dishes locally in Barnes. Food is eastern and will be well known to russian speaking clients. Although we have provided feedback that we actually did not like the food, discretionary 10% charge was included in the bill! I hate when you need to say - remove it from the bill. To management: due to all above it is recommended to visit same type of food restaurants and do a little bit of research. I would recommend to start with MariVanna (their prices nearly as yours, but quality is far ahead). There are lots of restaurants in Barnes and it is very very hard to compete. Please inform staff not to say bad things about previous place as clients may have loved their simple but very very good food. Funny moment: in the menu it is written 'a discretionary gravity of 10% will be added to your bill' - made us to smile.

Bob Bob Ricard - They gave us a small cake since we were celebrating our honeymoon. Tangy and sweet.

Decor is really cool and was decorated with stuff from the movie that was filmed here. There's a really cool feature where you can press a button for champagne. And the downstairs looks like there's a dance floor but no dancing was happening when we were there. 4/5 Bobs martini - this oyster infused vodka was very interesting and caught my attention. The vodka drink was a little sweet and topped with black olive oil. Very unique and I really enjoyed this. 3/5 Spicy martini - this was served with black pepper and was a bit dry, wasn't my favorite. 4/5 dirty martini - a standard drink but the olives were very juicy and tasted really good 2/5 Oysters - 3 for 15 was a bit pricey. It was a little fishy smelling which added to the taste. I didn't like it. Was only served with lemon and tobasco 3/5 Steak tar tar - my partner loved this but I just thought it was ok. 4/5 Shepherd pie - my favorite dish we ordered. Great presentation and tasted really good with fluffy potatoes on top with nice flavored meat. Would love to try the others on the menu. Overall was a fun experience and although I only gave 3 stars I would come back because the shepherds lie was so good.
