My partner and I spent far too many years coming up with reasons to not seek out couples therapy,…read morebut our experience with Couples Learn and Dr. Sarah Schewitz has been nothing short of transformative. I decided to write this review not only because I'm SO grateful to Dr. Sarah for her help, but I also hope that it will inspire another couple to not wait as long as we did to seek counseling. After our very first session with Dr. Sarah, we both commented on how safe and supported we felt the entire time --this came as bit of a surprise because I think we had both prepared ourselves for a lot of discomfort. Naturally, not all of our sessions were totally pain free, but Dr. Sarah has a unique ability to create a safe, non-judgmental space where we felt free to let our feelings out in a way that we hadn't come close to previously in our 15+ year relationship. This was my first experience with couples counseling, but I have had previous experience with individual counseling, and what stood out to me was how much more personalized this felt. Each session felt really meaningful and the skills she helped us build were certainly not techniques we were going to find in self help books. Dr. Sarah was a master at keeping us on track during session (not wasting our time or money), holding space for both of us to share equally, and I felt like we both left nearly every session with an immediate sense of accomplishment (and a lot more hope)! I cannot recommend Dr. Sarah/Couples Learn enough! Our connection is stronger than I ever imagined it could be and this is one of the best investments we've made as a couple.

Other therapists I've seen over the years were fine, but I always felt that they only scratched the surface when it came to problems I was facing. With Dr. Klaskin, however, I feel that we're able to dig deeper and really make impactful changes in my life. As a result, I've experienced so much positive growth in the time I've been working with her. Therapy is tough and it's not fun digging up pain from the past. However, no matter what I talk to about, Dr. Klaskin is nothing less than supportive, empathic, understanding and kind. I feel totally comfortable opening up to her about anything and everything that's on my mind, and I never felt that way with the therapists I had seen in the past. She truly has a gift. I first learned about neurofeedback when my osteopathic doctor recommended Los Angeles…read moreNeurofeedback. At the time, I was dealing with chronic lower back pain, persistent inner tension, low energy, and anxiety. My osteopath believed that much of what I was experiencing was related to emotional stress and thought neurofeedback could help regulate my nervous system and expand my capacity to respond to whatever life brings. From my very first session, I noticed a shift. Instead of feeling tense and on edge, I felt calmer, more settled, and soothed. I continued going twice a week for about 16 sessions, and over time I kept noticing meaningful changes in both how I felt and how I responded to everyday life. One thing I really appreciate is that neurofeedback didn't make me feel like I was avoiding or suppressing my emotions. Life still brings stress, and I still experience triggers and the physical sensations that can come with them. The difference is that they no longer feel as intense (if they're intense at all), and they don't linger nearly as long. Situations that would have completely derailed me in the past simply don't carry the same charge anymore. I feel like I've made meaningful and lasting changes in how I respond to stress since adding neurofeedback to my care routine. That "boost" my osteopath talked about became very evident because it made all of the calming and self-regulation practices I'd been using for years feel much more effective. Meg and all of the facilitators at Los Angeles Neurofeedback are wonderful. They're knowledgeable, gentle, professional, and take the time to answer questions, so you always feel like you're in good hands. It's now been over a month since my last session, and I still feel more grounded, intentional, and able to take life's inevitable ups and downs in stride. If you're dealing with anxiety, chronic stress, inner tension, or feeling emotionally "stuck," I'd encourage you to look into neurofeedback and see whether it might be a good fit for you. I am writing this review about Amber Robinson who has been my therapist for 3 years now…read more When I first started seeing Amber, it was for both myself and my ex spouse. Our marriage was in serious trouble and ultimately ended. (Not because of our therapist). There was just too much damage by then. After the separation from the spouse, I expressed to Amber my desire to continue the therapy with her on my own. This is when the magic really began for me. Amber saved my life and I mean that in a literal sense. Through the last 2 1/2 years, she has been a rock in my life. Someone that I grew to admire, respect, appreciate, and love. I was a broken human being and I just wanted to say goodbye to this world. Amber was there through the thick and thin, the ups and downs and never once faltered as a therapist. Never once judged me or spoke to me in a way that would make me feel shamed or less of a human. She is and always has been supportive, compassionate, and always honest with me. And honesty is very important for change. Where would I be today without having her as my therapist? The answer to my question is frightening and I am just happy that myself or anyone has to find out. To say that I am truly grateful for her is selling her short in my opinion. But I am truly grateful for her along with blessed. I am healthy, I am healing, and I am getting my life back together and I credit her with so much of this. Amber, I will never be able to truly make you completely comprehend the gratitude I have. You're amazing and I will forever remember you and the impact you made on my life. Thank you.

If you need help with personal, professional, or marriage issues, I am a living testament that this man and his staff will help change your life. They have the skillsets and modalities to help you alleviate any personal or relationship struggles you may be facing. I initiated work with Ron when things came to a head with my husband and me. We participated in a 6 day intensive therapy retreat that forever changed our lives. He sets up the retreat agenda with insane intentionality behind it. It focuses on reconnecting through various means while also working through the most damaging/painful issues. My husband and I returned home with a better understanding of who we are individually, what we need collectively, and the tools to use as we navigate our marriage. I haven't felt this connected to my husband in years, and didn't know if there was even a possibility to do so prior to this retreat. After the retreat, we have both continued joint therapy and initiated individual therapy. Within a month of working with Ron, I already feel a shift in my overall well-being and self-understanding. I had cycled through several therapists over the last ten to fifteen years, but never felt like the internal work I did stuck with me. I would feel unmotivated to attend therapy after a few sessions and move on to a new therapist or stop all together. I didn't trust them, and I felt like I was just talking about issues and feelings but was not moving forward. This is where Ron really stands out to me: he focuses on solving present day issues by working through root causes. It is without question, that if we don't address the origin of our feelings, that we won't truly heal our wounds or change or behaviors. He has made me a firm believe in this, and I am continuing to see this play out. I deeply wish that anyone who reads this and is seeking help passively or desperately, reaches out to Beverly Hills Therapy Group today. I promise you it will change your life. I know it has for my husband and me. Outside of Ron's unquestionable skills, he is one of a kind. He is extremely likeable, hospitable (always has snacks, water, and coffee for you in his office), hysterical, and non-judgmental. He is open with his personal battles and very much humanizes the entire therapeutic experience. Good therapists are hard to find, but exceptional therapists are nearly impossible. I can't thank Ron and the BHTG enough.
