Not only did she address my basic questions that we all have when looking at therapy options for the first time but she actually took time to talk to me and listen to me probably more than she should have about my issues in my relationship. She even asked questions. I felt heard and engaged with and for as brief as it was, it was like a breath of fresh air. I don't usually write reviews, but for someone who took time to listen when they had really no obligation to, I just had to. Highly recommend considering if you are looking at options. Hopefully maybe soon my partner and I can book a session.

I had never gone to therapy before but it was something I always wanted to try. I found her through Yelp and was impressed with the reviews and called her for a consultation. She was warm and personable and asked some questions to see if she felt she could help me. Once she determined she could, she set up a weekly time that worked with my schedule. Through my sessions, I gained so much understanding into connecting with my inner self. I had already spent a lot of time dwelling on my childhood emotional traumas and I had felt like I had a good grasp of my emotional patterns. I just hadn't figured out how to heal from them. Her first hypnotherapy session (which I would describe as a guided meditation) was a profound experience for me. She helped me connect visually with the concept of "self love", something I struggled with my whole life. I'm so grateful for the experience, and she was such an incredible emotional support through a very difficult period of time in my life. She helped me maintain healthy coping habits and to deal with hard times gracefully and in a way I feel proud of looking back. She is a wonderful and authentic healer and I highly recommend her!

She's also a hilarious and truly unique character (at least in my opinion). Anyone who has a chance to work with Suzanne or her DBT practice should count themselves lucky -- I know that I do. Every single day, I am thankful for her and for DBT entering my life, I genuinely have no idea where I would be without them. I worked with her for just over a solid year. I was a mess and the work was hard, but she was patient, firm, and compassionate. In every interaction, I knew that I was working with someone who has helped countless others, including her own self. Suzanne cares deeply about everyone she helps, she will make time for you when you need it most, and she will never, ever lie to or B.S with you. She also has countless epic stories from the many fascinating eras of her life! Being one of the foremost DBT clinicians in the country, Suzanne has limited space, but I would highly recommend any of the therapists in her practice and I could go on for DAYS about the skills groups that they offer -- I truly believe that peer support changes lives like nothing else and this is the most well-run support group I have ever been in. After I became more stable and graduated from skills group, I realized that I was getting in a rut with Suzanne. This was not her fault, it was because of some previous trauma that I have around psychiatry and clinicians in general (like many of Suzanne's clients she was **far** from my first therapist). I decided to see a different clinician in So-Cal DBT's practice whom I adore, and we have been able to build incredibly on the stable foundation that Suzanne helped me get to. I would strongly recommend Suzanne to anyone with substance issues, I am personally not sober but hearing her own story and also watching her help people in a group setting, I think that she is particularly helpful with that. Be sure to ask her about her purse collection ;)

I never thought I could control my emotions, and wasn't even aware of them, until after this program. My private therapist, Ruth Avalos, was one of the best therapists I've ever had and did an exceptional job. Other amazing therapists there are Sarah, Danielle, Ruby, Sofia, and Patty. All absolutely phenomenal, Suzanne included. There is no DBT clinic anywhere in the area, if anywhere at all, better than this one. There group classes are amazing, the environment very supportive of one another, and very thorough. They also have great phone coaching at a moments notice, that got me through so many difficult moments I would not have survived otherwise. Thank you Suzanne and Wallach and her team. I highly recommend this place.

I left a review for this company a few months back and realized most of my frustration was with…read morereceiving ineffective medication from the pharmacy due to the Adderall shortage and not Millennium Medical Associates. Upon my journey through America's weird mental health system, my new psychiatrist prescribed me Wellbutrin, which is for depression, although she mentioned it works for ADHD. Completely false, I only took it for one day and felt like I had the worst anxiety and just slept all day. Luckily, I returned the medication to the pharmacy so they can properly dispose of it. Tried speaking to the same psychiatrist and she doesn't believe in stimulants. She says they're bad for your body. However; ever since I've been on Adderall with Millennium Medical Associates, my life has gotten significantly better. Paying bills on time, quiet mind, emotional regulation, etc. My body has been fine too. Blood pressure normal, no side effects (even if I take it later in the day, which I tend to do). Fast forward now, looking back I feel Millennium Medical Associates actually listens to their clients despite what I previously thought. Booking an appointment with their psychiatrist was way easier than the other one and speaking to their psychiatrist actually involved them listening. My other one, let me speak for like a few seconds and said I have depression...but I thought you said the Wellbutrin works for ADHD like what lol. Now that I've seen for myself America's health care system, I definitely recommend Millennium Medical Associates. Sure it's not in person, but it doesn't matter if the professional isn't actually gonna listen to you. Their support team responds within business hours vs my other psychiatrist office barely picked up the phone. Anywho, give 'em try and don't do what I did. Save yourself the stress.

I went to this clinic three times before writing a review because I wanted to have more than one…read moreexperience to draw from. The first time I went as a walk in because I'd read somewhere that they accept walk-ins. That's ONLY if you're already a patient of theirs. Soooo, I spent an hour in traffic from Los Feliz and God knows how much gas driving to this place to be told they don't take walk-ins for new patients. The waiting room was empty. Thankfully, I read here on Yelp that they have parking validation because no one mentioned it and I would have been stuck with a $21 parking free. I asked for the validation, paid the $4.00 (not $2 as it says on their site) and wasted gas driving back home. But I was impressed with the neighborhood and how friendly the staff was (especially the receptionists), even as they turned me away. Second try: I made an appointment and went in. I only waited about 20 minutes, which was great. I encountered really nice employees leading up to my exam. I'd expected a bad experience as I've always had a private doctor and insurance until recently. I'd heard horror stories about clinics treating women like crap and being located in really scary neighborhoods. The physician's assistant who saw me was a bit gruff in her bedside manner and I've never had a GYN be so rough during an exam. She then told me I needed to stop squirming and pulling up on the seat. And she seemed annoyed when I didn't understand her blunt question, "Are you bleeding?" to mean am I having normal menstrual cycles. We'd been talking about fibroids, so I thought the question was in relation to fibroids, not menstrual cycle. Overall, she was the person there that I really would like to have exchanged for someone else. But I wasn't harmed in any way, so I just chalked it up to a clinic experience versus a private doctor. I was asked for a donation and I gave $20. The third time I went (today) was for a well woman's exam. I made an appointment for 9 AM and I had a work related event at 11:00. I fought the hounds of hell to get there in the AWFUL traffic along Santa Monica Blvd only to sit in the waiting room nearly TWO HOURS. What was the point of an appointment? I changed the work appointment I had to 12 noon. I went to the window three times to ask what was going on. A very friendly nurse came out and got me for my vitals, asked me for a donation, then sat me back down in the waiting room where I watched several women who came in after me go into the back to see doctors. I was baffled. But each time I asked how much longer, I was told politely I'd be seen soon and was given an apology. Finally, after two hours, I told them I could not wait any longer. I was so stressed and upset that I nearly burst into tears in the parking lot. Another woman in the parking lot asked me which doctor I'd seen and how did I like the experience. I told her I'd not seen a doctor and she was confused. "You were never seen??? You were there when I got there ." Exactly. I paid my $4.00 AGAIN for parking without being seen. They have a 15 minute grace period for patient arrival but I can sit in the waiting area for two hours past my appointment time??? Although I believe they mean well and they are very kind, I don't know if I'll go back. I don't understand why they'd double and triple book. Because it's low cost doesn't mean it's right to waste people's time. I'm so disappointed because I was very happy about this clinic and told a couple of friends how wonderful it was.
