The course is Trent Jones Jr. designed and absolutely beautiful. There is a lot of water but it is not "in your face water". The one complaint I have is their parking lot design. Yesterday was busy, lots of cars. The parking lot is in sections. One way in and one way out. If the section is full you have to exit how you came. Not a big problem but annoying.

Also known as Linner: Lunch-Dinner). The dining patio that overlooks tee box #10 and putting green #18 is dog friendly. It's really quite scenic. So the food is typical pub fare. You know, hamburgers / french fries / grilled chicken / a few different salads. This is not high end foofy tweezer food. The portions are large enough for a big appetite, the ingredients are good quality. The preparation and plate presentation is fine. I think the most expensive meal on the menu costs $20. Coors pint on tap costs less than $6. We enjoyed the meal and the view. We lingered for 90 minutes to enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Susan was our server. She's smart, authentic, friendly, helpful, prompt. She enhanced the happy experience. She told us that there's a new dinner BBQ menu offered on Friday - Saturday and Sunday evenings. Come check it out.

I would rate the course alone a one star. The staff was nice and friendly. This was my 3rd time…read moreplaying here. Last year was Sept 1st and the course was in good condition. Today was unplayable and embarrassing. The photos I included are all from the middle of the fairway. Every hole was under distress. Did you lose your water source at some point? Clearly you got it back because the course is overwatered. No matter how long you water dirt it doesn't become grass, it just becomes mud. When we checked in they told us that some of the fairways were under heat stress. That is a colossal understatement. This course should not be open. It will take years to repair. But I will never play here again. Duncan should be ashamed of itself for charging this year, what it has charged in the past. We drove down from Reno expecting a fantastic golfing experience. This was a complete betrayal of trust and loyalty, as we are 50 mile club members. I cannot and would not ever recommend this course again. How your dues paying members have not revolted is beyond me.

It rained the day of our wedding and The Ridge was flexible with us and let us push the ceremony back by an hour (cutting cocktail hour in half). Jen helped me maintain my cool and was present throughout the day! I honestly can't even put into words how amazing Jen is, she was a soundboard with what to do about the rain. I feel most would have pushed to move it inside, but she did everything she could to keep it outside & it was truly amazing. Shane the event manager was great to work with as well! He made sure the reception went on perfectly and was communicative all throughout the night to make sure we maintained on schedule. The whole staff at The Ridge was great to work with, from the individuals wiping down the seats after the rain, to driving the golf cart for a guest to come to the ceremony site, to individuals serving the food.
