Who knew a toddler could enjoy store so much stopping to Barnes& Noble to get a book for my son and…read morewe ended up spending over an hour there because he had a blast!. The kids section was pretty ample and they had a nice little table and chair set up that he enjoyed just sitting down and looking at a couple different books which helped us make a selection. They also had some plushes including a very hungry Caterpillar one that he absolutely loves, which we ended up getting as well. The one plush did not have a sticker of course and the people behind the information desk were super helpful and. I ended up getting something from my mother at least while they were willing to go in the back to check stock because they were out of it on the floor and that you able to get me one. I feel like the prices of bucks are pretty standard as their prices are listed on. The cover is typically so I don't think there were any more or less out of line with other booksellers. They also happen to be running a sale at the time so the whole store was 25% off. Would hesitate to bring him back here. Maybe we can buy another book but as far as a retailer goes pretty kid friendly and the staff has always been super nice.

I wish I went to this college just for the parking alone!! I went to Union College of NJ (in…read moreCranford, NJ) and it was absolutely horrific! The parking was atrocious and the security was absolutely ridiculous! My sister went to this college and I wish I was able to go here! They have a pool, so much better parking, their staff is so much easier to talk to than those at Union, and they have such a big campus with enough space that the students have enough parking all around the school to park. At Union, there were times where it would take me at LEAST 10 minutes to walk from my parking spot to the college and in the snow or rain, forget about it! It was took nearly half an hour or 45 minutes! And that was the farthest lot because the 3 closest were mostly directed toward the staff and faculty! At Raritan, not only is the parking FREE, but on top of that, the faculty and staff parking is divided into completely different lots that students aren't told to move from because they accidentally parked in a faculty parking spot, as Raritan has a gate for the staff to show their pass and then it lets them in. This college is so more organized, equipped, and staffed better than Union College of NJ. The only issue I had was because the American Sign Language program was not a major, so I had to go to Union, which was awful because I truly missed out on a better experience here!

Extremely Disappointing Experience My experience with…read moreRaritan Community College has been extremely frustrating. I would strongly encourage prospective students to carefully consider their options before choosing this school. The registration and advising process is unnecessarily difficult. Almost everything has to be done online, and even when you schedule an appointment, you may be assigned to someone who is not actually able to answer your specific questions or help resolve your issue. Instead of being connected with the appropriate person, you are often told that someone else will call you back. That is exactly what happened with my niece. I encouraged her to consider another school because of the difficulties I had heard about, but she decided to give Raritan a chance and speak with someone directly. Unfortunately, she experienced the same problems. She was repeatedly connected with people who could not provide the information or assistance she needed and was told that someone would contact her. The semester eventually started, and she still was not able to register for her classes. For a college, helping students successfully register and get started should be one of the most basic responsibilities. Students should not have to navigate a complicated online system, repeatedly explain their situation to different people, and wait for callbacks just to get the help they need. It is especially frustrating when students are expected to do nearly everything themselves while paying tuition and fees for a service that is supposed to support them. Students deserve accessible, knowledgeable staff who can actually help them when they need it. Based on this experience, I would seriously recommend looking at other colleges before enrolling at Raritan Community College.
