They have work opportunities on campus and town is nearby if they want to work in the community. They allow the kids to have their cars on campus from the first year, especially since they require the kids to get involved in a church outside of the school My daughter loves her admissions counselor, guidance counselor and her teachers. She has made a wonderful group of friends, has become involved in a church off campus and she is thriving. I think the biggest testimony to me was anytime we asked any of the students if they liked the school, they all said they loved it. The president is often the speaker at chapel and he teaches a class as well. I just can't say enough about this institution.

Whatever they do, they do well. Full disclosure- this institution has a core of Bible courses in each major helping students desiring to live and work Biblically to integrate this into all they do. Their graduates are spread around the world making a difference in meeting the needs found in those places. I am grateful for my education there.

So the next day we decided to check it out. This place blew us away. The modern architecture is stunning with different levels, and there is even a fireplace. There is also a room dedicated just for magazines with the most current issues. If you like movies the library has an impressive selection of DVDs. Even their restrooms have fancy Dyson faucets. There is a cafe as well. One of the upper levels offers a nice outdoor patio balcony. Good to see the tax dollars going back to the community. No matter how old you are, go get yourself a library card. There is a parking garage nearby. It's a great way to spend the day reading a book or two.

A cafe is in the 1st floor by the entrance with tea/coffee and other drinks, sandwiches and snacks. It also has seating. A used book nook with a wide variety of books is also on the 1st floor. The books are very inexpensive! The library also sells t shirts and other things. I'm not a resident so I don't borrow books but I always stop in to browse the books. The third floor has an outdoor patio where it's nice to take a break. Bathrooms are also on the 1st and 3rd floors plus water stations.

Even though I was impressed with how beautiful the old building was and how well stocked the shelves were with books, that was not why I was there. Me and my husband had made an appointment to get our passports processed. I made a appointment a few weeks ago (online) for 5pm. We were there a few minutes early, so the young lady at the desk told us to have a seat. Sure enough at 5pm exactly another young lady comes out (forgot to get her name) and goes over all our paperwork. She was very precise, making sure every line was filled out correctly. I didn't need my birth certificate, because I had a old passport (that had expired), but my husband needed his, since it was his first time getting one. The cost is $130 per person for the passport. An additional $35 per person to the Jenkintown Library for their processing fee. They only take personal checks or money orders. That's right!, no cash or credit cards. You also need to have your picture taken (before you get there) at a place that takes passport photos. I had mine taken at Staples for $14.99. All in all the appointment went pretty smooth after filling out the paperwork. They made us feel welcome and I would highly recommend the Jenkintown Library for your passport needs.
