I visited this unique boutique in November 2025, while visiting Huntington where my grandparents…read morelived when I was a child. I hadn't been back since 1974. I walked in and the aroma was breathtaking! I asked what the scent was and it was "Winter Forest" by Cow Harbor Candle Co. I bought one little candle to take home to NV. Burning the candle at home, I just couldn't get enough. They were out of Winter Forest, so I ordered an assortment of different scents from the same maker. Unfortunately, when they arrived a few were broken. I spoke to the owner, Jacquelyn, and she immediately replaced the broken candles at no charge, no questions whatsoever. They texted me when more Winter Forest was available. I order more of those too. I think I've gotten about 8 candles and I have to say that these are the BEST SCENTED CANDLES I've EVER had the pleasure to enjoy! Highly recommend this shop, the customer service is fantastic, and I hope to visit Huntington and Wit & Whim again next year. Also, wow has Huntington grown (well of course, in 50 years!) Gorgeous area. And, yes, I found my grandparents home. It's not the same, but I found it!! Ahhh, the childhood memories!!!

Filled with tchotchkes, vintage ideas, local artisan crafts, and so much more, it really lives up to its name of wit and whim. The two people working at the store were incredibly friendly and did such a wonderful job gift-wrapping the gifts I purchased and I picked up a bunch of business cards from local creators that I wanted to follow and see what else they have in store. A lot of the items don't have prices listed, so you do have to ask which was my only minor grievance. I will definitely make a few more trips here, especially for gifts, when the need arises.

The mad Russian and I had been home yesterday all day and decided to go out and get a bite in town…read more After dinner we were itching for an ice cream, and that's when this newcomer to the neighborhood popped right in front of our eyes. One look into the store window and we knew we had to go in. Since we had just gotten our ice cream, we asked if it was ok to come inside and take a gander. Imagine a place where all the furniture is reclaimed and rustic, the leather furniture distressed and so comfortable looking that you might just for a moment think you see a sleeping child on the couch. This place is so awesome inside, we just had to have a look and kept going on for quite a distance. That's where we saw them- the matching end tables that have been missing from what we wanted our bedroom to look like and the bench at the foot of our bed. Enter Nadia and Frank, two of the nicest people you're likely to ever meet and moments later we were chatting it up and getting their story on how the came to be in our fair city. I'll let them have that conversation with you if you go yourself in person, but rest assured, it's a story we loved to hear and we were so happy that hard work can pay off and a dream can be realized. A few more minutes went by and Frank and I had conducted our business and I arranged for the furniture to be delivered to our home. We laughed because it was possibly the most expensive ice cream trip I have ever taken. But having said that, we were so pleased at our new purchase and the thought that everything was so reasonably priced. We already have spoken about a few other items that would look great in our home. I wasn't part of this conversation so much, but MR ( mad Russian ) was talking with Nadia and it seems Frank does all sorts of custom work as well. Come and see them and welcome them to the neighborhood. Best of luck to them both!

This is the coolest furniture store I've ever been in!!! They had an awesome one at the store and we spoke to the owner Frank and he's actually working on making us a larger one. And then we saw these really cool chandeliers to go above it. They really have the most amazing stuff! And the owner was incredibly nice and helpful. This is a place worth taking a trip to see!

Honestly, I'm surprised by the low ratings on this place. I grew up going here with my grandmother…read morewhen it was Martin Viette's. The new owners have kept up the same high-level of quality, huge selection, upscale vibe, gift shops, indoor plants, outdoor plants, friendly, helpful, employees, and beautiful, peaceful atmosphere. They're no more expensive, than any other plant nursery unless you're comparing them to Home Depot and Lowe's and there's really no comparison. I found the employees to be very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There is a huge selection of garden plants, pots, statuary etc. Multiple gift shops inside. They have a rewards program so I would sign up for it if you shop there. There are chickens, roosters, and I think it was baby goats, so there's fun things for the kids to do too. It's extremely clean and very well organized. The plants look really healthy. I was very impressed.

I was craving some fall vibe outside of the city. We stopped by this farm while looking for some…read morecozy fall vibes on Long Island, and it definitely had that seasonal charm. Food & Drinks: 4/5 I was mostly here for the food, so I went straight for the apple cider and donuts. The cider (12oz) was around $1.50 and tasted classic--not too sweet and warm--but the donut situation was a little disappointing. It was dry and not warm at all. They had pre-packaged ones with extra sugar on top, and I personally just wanted a simple, fresh one. We also grabbed a pumpkin loaf, and in total spent $18 for a pumpkin loaf, three donuts, and two ciders, which isn't terrible. Ambiance: 5/5 It's clearly a spot for gardeners and families--lots of pumpkins, plants, and kids running around. If you're not here to garden or bring kids, you might run out of things to do pretty quickly. Still, the setting is lovely for a short stop, especially if you're already in the area. Service: 3/5 Lines for drinks were a bit long, and the setup felt slightly unorganized, but the staff was polite and trying their best with the crowd. In all in all, a nice little fall stop if you're nearby or just want a quick cider-and-donut moment, but not a place I'd go far out of the way for--unless you're gardening or pumpkin-picking with family.
