Rich completed a very thorough walk-through of our home which enabled him to give me a proper estimate with no surprise costs on cleaning day. The estimate was reasonable and I hired Rich's company on the spot. We have been extremely pleased with the incredible cleaning job Rich is providing! WARNING - THIS MAN STOLE MONEY FROM US! We used Rare Touch Cleaning for about 6 months and for cleaning he did a great job. A few months back a clock was knocked off the wall in the basement and broke. Rich took some money off our next cleaning service to compensate for the accident and we used that money to repair the clock. After our cleaning in December we noticed that some cash ($100) was missing from a drawer in the kitchen but without proof of anything we did not pursue it. Our final cleaning with this company was yesterday 1/15. This time we knew exactly how much money was in the drawer, we were both home from work and when Rich had finished and said goodbye we checked the drawer and sure enough $100 was missing. I called Rich back into the house and asked him about the missing money. He told me that he does not go into the drawers and cupboards of his clients. I told him we were missing money and that he had taken it. He denied it. At that point I told him that he had a choice which was give us the money back or I would call the police and they would search him and his vehicle. Rich admitted he had taken the cash and that he would give us the money back. When I told him about the missing money from December, he admitted to that also and gave us back the payment for the January cleaning. His reason for stealing from us was that he was mad when he saw the broken clock on the wall in the basement! Not only did this man steal from us when we were not home, he went into the same drawer and stole money from us when we were both in the house! While I did not call the police, I feel compelled to write this as a warning to anyone else who either currently uses or is considering using this company's services. read more

I needed a cleaning for my entire house and Rich did an excellent job. His attention to detail was much appreciated. I am often weary about finding household services around the Harford county area as it is always a major task to find a trustworthy company that offers a reasonable price. When I needed this house cleaning, I was pleasantly surprised when this company showed up in my results and when I called, I had an answer right away. I was in a dilemma two years ago at Christmastime with a house in chaos from a leak in the kitchen that ruined both kitchen and the basement, and I also had guests coming in two days. I found a business card on the ground for Rare Touch Cleaning Services, I called the owner Rich, and he was there the next day even though he still had to do another job. He cleaned the house meticulously and it was amazingly ready for company the next day. If you had seen my house, you would realize how remarkable that was. I have a different life with a child with special needs and medical issues who demands a lot of time and attention, and it is hard to bring someone into my environment in this situation. I had boxes and boxes in my basement going to the ceiling and I was seriously overwhelmed, and Rich came and got me through the boxes and junk and restored my basement into the game room it was intended to be. Rich is everything I see mentioned in the other five-star reviews. He is precise in his attention to detail, he works with every fiber of his being, and he cleans as if his life depended on it. He is respectful of my wishes and in general he is a great human being. I don't know anyone who could have gotten me out of the rut I was in and I'm not kidding when I say that my own quality of life is better since he has helped me organize and clean my home. Keep in mind that it takes him half the time to do what a team of three people would do. I know because in the past I have hired some of the big names in cleaning services, and the cleaning is sub par for the same or higher price. This guy works like a finely-oiled machine. I closed on a house on a Friday and called Rick, the owner of this company for a consultation and to ask questions. Rick was polite on the phone. I informed him what I needed done and the urgency of it. I was looking for someone who can clean my new home the very next day. Rick to my surprise came to the house, did a walk through and quoted me his price. We both agreed that he'll return the next day at 9am to start cleaning. Rick showed up all ready to roll on Saturday. He worked tirelessly and cleaned my new home from top to bottom. He was not in an hurry and spent about 4 hours thoroughly cleaning my 4 bedroom home. Did I mention his price were reasonable. While cleaning, a friend of mine visited and really liked how clean the house looked. My friend will be contacting Rick as well.
