The pricing was very doable considering the amazing work put in. Will absolutely be back!

Now I come here to cut and dye my hair. I am a loyal clientele, I have been coming to do my hair with Mario for years, he is simply the best!! I don't change him for anyone else. Last time I did the Keratin treatment, I do it mostly during summer season because the humidity makes my hair very frizzy and dry. I love the result every time I do it. It's definitely a good option if you want to keep your hair moisturized and ready to go in the mornings. Mario is a great hair stylist, helpful, friendly, funny, and above all professional. He is the type of person you end up considering like family. I like this location better than the other one, the design is modern and the atmosphere is way better here. The previous location was bigger yes, but this one is more cozy. Prices are fair and they give you guarantee. Super recommended!!!

I like all pinks but I am going to try to fix this myself. I came in on a Friday morning around 11:45am as a walk in, they don't really do reservations. We got started right away. I showed them a reference photo once when I came in and they asked to see the photo the second time when they were bleaching my hair. Everyone was very nice. I liked the staff and saw that they tried to be as attentive as possible. It got busier as the day went on. We finished up at 4pm and it was packed. I usually bleach my own hair with olaplex and it never gets stringy. I think they way over bleached my hair because it was very stringy before and after we washed it. A lot of my hair broke and there a lot of strands shorter than the rest. They were also quite rough with the bleach brush on my hair. I like the way they used highlighting to give me a shadow root, but the application could have been a lot better. I have chunks of black and I would've liked it to be brown or lighter.

I gave this salon a second chance because my first visit was about 70% of the way there. The first…read morevisit, it was still too dark and the line of demarcation was visible, but it was close enough that I thought with a little feedback we'd get to the result I wanted. Instead, the second visit was worse. I brought reference photos and clearly explained that I wanted the color lighter and warmer. Instead, I left with an even darker, splotchy gloss and the same visible line of demarcation. When I pointed this that the color was not what I requested, I was repeatedly told it "looked good" and would fade instead of fixing it while I was still in the chair. Throughout the appointment I kept hearing about how busy the stylist was and that she had no idea how I'd been squeezed into the schedule. As a paying client who booked in advance, I shouldn't feel like an inconvenience. During my first visit I explained I was recovering from a concussion. Before this appointment, I explained I'd recently been in the ER because of neck issues and couldn't comfortably lean back at the shampoo bowl. I said I didn't mind getting a little wet if it helped. Instead, the back of my dress was completely soaked. The stylist joked that she'd "never gotten anyone this wet before," said she'd dry it, then walked away within seconds and left me sitting there soaked. The stylist also didn't bother drying enough of my hair to properly check the final color before I left. The atmosphere was equally strange. One stylist greeted me with a hug when I walked in despite only having met me once before. It all felt overly familiar and performative rather than client-focused. Why hug me? We aren't friends, and frankly - I don't like you. I don't mind paying premium NYC salon prices. What I expect in return is technical skill, attention to detail, and someone who listens to what I'm asking for. Instead, I felt like the salon projected confidence while missing very basic fundamentals. Listening to the client, executing the service properly, and checking the finished result shouldn't be optional. I'm genuinely not sure why so many NYC salons cultivate this kind of self-important atmosphere. It doesn't feel client-focused, it feels like you're expected to trust the stylist unquestioningly, even when the technical execution falls short. I'm not looking for a refund. I'm sharing this so other clients know what my experience was before they book. I won't be following up with any outreach or response.

Her and her staff are above and beyond, extremely professional and have a relaxed vibe. After a year of going from black to blonde to blue to brown to blonde again and finally back to a dark brown, my hair has had it rough! I lost a couple inches in the front and inquired about extensions here, Ann suggested SoCap so I came in that very same day. Once she was done installing and Kiki shaping my hair I had a fun long bob! I loved the look so much that I figured I might as well try to do my entire head.... Fast forward two months: I was lucky enough to be gifted a full head of great lengths hair extensions and due to my work schedule it was a bit rough to fit time in to be able to get them installed. The day they arrived I had to be at work at 3 pm, the extensions arrived at the salon at 12:30 so before I got in I prewashed my hair with a cleansing shampoo and no conditioner, hair ready to go- Ann and her GL Technician worked so quickly on my hair and I was out the door in no time with long full Rapunzel like locks! Kiki gave me some great layers in the front and I cant say enough great things about this place. They are reasonably priced, super friendly and all around one of the best salons I have been to in Queens. I like that the salon isn't so daunting like Patricia's...I called them once for an estimate on extensions told them exactly what I wanted and they refused to give me a quote unless I came into the salon. Since then I had been doing my own extensions using clip on, tape and wefted methods. I really cannot say any more great things about this salon. I think they really have a great thing going!
