The best way to be a winner in this crazy justice system is to let Edwin handle it. I had a dui case with multiple charges. My initial lawyer wanted me to take a plea bargain and insisted on it. He knew from the start I was in it to win it but after he had my money he was lazy and looking for the easy way out. I fired him and hired Edwin and I wish I did from the start. Edwin came into my case late but he took over with authority and smashed the states evidence on many levels from multiple directions. I was found not guilty on all charges and it's all credited to Edwin's ambitious drive, care, and concern for me. You will not be disappointed or dissatisfied with him.

So this attorney had a very simple case. A laundromat was not providing hot water and they were not…read morefilling up washers all the way and I filed a complaint with the manager and they retaliated by telling me to take all my wet clothes and leave the laundromat. When I was outside in the parking lot I had talked to some people to find out if they were always such assholes.... And as I went back in to get my stuff I was bombarded by verbals trying to instigate some sort of caddy-like conversations with the manager. I engage once and asked her to stop aggressing me and I left later I was arrested for disorderly conduct. I'd already served a damn prison and I have no record. He not only corrected the entire case but did not appear to my court date where I was found guilty by default and charged maximum sentence. No I would not recommend this man in any way shape or form and I believe that he was highly racist because one of the laundromat attendants thought that if she said that someone said I said the word Mexican that it would make her case stronger and apparently he agreed this attorney Melina by completely neglecting my case and my defense. he did not make me aware of my court date did not remind me did not appear in my stud showing that I was unable to be reached for reasons beyond my control or any other defense whatsoever and he allowed for a conviction to go through without a trial or argument. And after that he just let it sit for sentencing and never contacted me until I contacted the court and requested a file who said that I could not get any access to my case information because I had an attorney which is also insane. Having to go to court is terrifying. Trying to find a good lawyer is next to impossible. Richard is…read morethe nicest attorney I have ever met. Most of them talk over you, give you limited consultations and frankly, just charge outrageous fees to represent you. Richard took the time to listen to my needs and even took the time to have a separate consultation with my fiancé, who I was calling on behalf of. His fees were so much more reasonable than all of the big firms down town and he's far more professional and kind than any of them. On the court date, I was terribly nervous, but he was very reassuring and made me feel confident. Once the hearing began, I could see why he has had such a successful career and why he was the best choice for me! I hope I never need an attorney again, but if I do, I would never hesitate to call Mr. Strohm.

I am only writing this to give my honest opinion about the work that attorney John Gaertner did for…read moremy case, so that others do not waste their money. The only good part about his firm is that his paralegal is organized and does most of the work for him. However, John is not a good lawyer and is not even decent in the court room speaking or representing clients. I was pretty shocked because I assumed he would at least appear experienced at some points during my trial. I am not writing this to attack him or his firm, but he charges a lot and I don't want others to waste their money. I spent around 15k and got nowhere with him due to his inability to convince and stay organized in front of the judge. Hopefully by writing this, Mr. Gaertner does not respond or attack me, as I understand that he was disciplined by the State Bar for unprofessional conduct. I had felt that several times during my case that this attorney attacked me as well (in person and over the phone), so I am not at all surprised by this admonition and probation brought upon him.
