I contacted Stephen J. Anthony, Attorney At Law, as I was having issues with Bank of America fraudulently withdrew $5,192.72 on March 29th and $6,791.09 on April 3rd from my Wells Fargo checking account. I was able to work with BofA to return both amounts; however, when BofA credit $6,791.09 to my checking account, they also added it as a Balance Due in my BofA account. When I reached out to BofA they said it was because I was credited twice and I kept going round and round with BofA for months. Finally, I engaged Attorney Stephen to assist. I met with him in August, went through January to August statements so he understood my situation.
His stated he would draft a "Demand" letter, requesting to zeroing out my Balance due, removing the bad credit reports, and reimbursing attorney fees, and fax it to BofA, which he did on August 10th.
However, after receiving letters from BofA stating they conducted research and found that I received the credit twice, which is why they posted to my BofA account as amount due.
Therefore, I gave Stephen BofA addresses for Corporate Headquarters, Billing Inquires, and fax numbers from Statements and Letter Heads.
Stephen sent a second 'Demand' letter to BofA on September 3rd as a follow up to his August 10th letter.
Stephen office received a letter from BofA dated September 30th detailing their research and that shows I owe this amount; however, gave me a "partial refund" of $114.16. How is $114.16 "partial" refund of $6,791.09?
At this point I have paid Stephen $1900. When I spoke to him about next steps in response to this letter, he told me "I think you owe it" and stated 'they gave me a partial refund".
Really, has he thought this the whole time? I paid $1,900 for him to send two letters?
I feel this is deplorable support from an Attorney, and deceptive. read more
