The plumber we normally use, wanted about $268 dollars for after-hours service & said there'd be a 20% upcharge on anything they did. I said, "no thank you" and googled other plumbing entities. I was extremely fortunate to hit on OnGrade Plumbing & Excavating. They came out within 2 hrs & said they didn't charge for consultation. They quickly assessed the problem (a split seam in the tank) and remedies the situation so we wouldn't have more leaking until the water heater could be replaced. They waited until they could get a high quality water heater on Monday as they do not use just what's available at someplace like Home Depot. They also replaced pipes with copper piping & put a gasket in our all-house humidifier that had been installed by the homebuilder w/o it. Our previous plumber just turned it off because it was leaking - never mentioning that it could be because of the missing part. I was very impressed with the work & professionalism of the men that came out, consulted & did the work. I also think their pricing was very fair for the quality of work they did.

Showed up on time, tools in hand, zero small talk, straight to business. Assessed the situation, said "yeah, I got this," and delivered firm, efficient pipe-laying with confidence you only get from years of experience. No mess, no drama, excellent flow afterward. The pipe? Solid. The pressure? Perfect. The results? Immediate and satisfying. Best part: he left like nothing happened, and when my wife got home all she noticed was "wow, everything's working great." That's how you know it was quality work. Would I hire again? Absolutely. Would I recommend him to others? Only if they can handle the best piping of their lives. 10/10 would let him pipe again.

Well, they actually were able to start Tuesday afternoon by digging out the cut-off valve and getting ready for the directional boring to begin Wednesday morning. The crew was on time, super-friendly and easy to work with, and really knew their stuff!
