The plumber we normally use, wanted about $268 dollars for after-hours service & said there'd be a 20% upcharge on anything they did. I said, "no thank you" and googled other plumbing entities. I was extremely fortunate to hit on OnGrade Plumbing & Excavating. They came out within 2 hrs & said they didn't charge for consultation. They quickly assessed the problem (a split seam in the tank) and remedies the situation so we wouldn't have more leaking until the water heater could be replaced. They waited until they could get a high quality water heater on Monday as they do not use just what's available at someplace like Home Depot. They also replaced pipes with copper piping & put a gasket in our all-house humidifier that had been installed by the homebuilder w/o it. Our previous plumber just turned it off because it was leaking - never mentioning that it could be because of the missing part. I was very impressed with the work & professionalism of the men that came out, consulted & did the work. I also think their pricing was very fair for the quality of work they did.

Dave was on the phone with me Sunday afternoon and evening even as he was preparing to go out of town for the holiday week. He had the best bid out of 4, and had crew available to do the job before the holiday, which was a pleasant surprise. We agreed his crew would come on Wednesday, what the job entailed and what to expect. Paid the deposit online - super convenient. Well, they actually were able to start Tuesday afternoon by digging out the cut-off valve and getting ready for the directional boring to begin Wednesday morning. The crew was on time, super-friendly and easy to work with, and really knew their stuff! They were able to bore from the front yard cut-off valve to under the house and come up in the basement within about 4" of the old water supply line. Everything got connected up and they wrapped up by 3pm Wednesday. Inspector came the following Monday after which they refilled the trench in the yard and we're back to normal. These guys are the pros you want to call - they'll get the job done, no BS, and take good care of you and your property in the process. Highly recommended!!

Would I recommend him to others? Only if they can handle the best piping of their lives. 10/10 would let him pipe again.

Mike was great and very fair in pricing. He came out very quickly to answer an issue of my toilet…read morebacking up under my first floor bathroom flooring. He listened to what I had tried and then tackled the issue from the outside main sewer line back into the building. The clog was quickly found to be an issue of hardware that "toileting" items were catching on and the sewage was backing up into my unit/condo. He got the camera out, and videoed the entire situation as proof of damage to the underneath of my condo, the clog in the line and it was immediately sent to my HOA, who, before this plumber left the restoration team was on the phone and the "nightmare" of restoration began. Mike was very pleasant knowing what I was about to deal with and had nothing but great information, and fantastic customer service with getting me at least to the point of having no further issues of flooding under my home. He billed the HOA and that was the part I felt bad for as they never got back to him or contacted him after he tried numerous times. I finally emailed the board members directly to get him paid almost 3 months after the job was completed. He was never rude, never put the bill into collections, or made it hard for me to get him paid by the HOA. MIke is an exceptionally easy to work with guy, great customer rapport, and I recommend his services to anyone who needs someone easy going to help them out.
