I knew I wouldn't have time over the weekend to do this, so I wanted to check out this location midweek. I was just hoping that it would be a smooth process and go quickly, and fortunately it did. It's easy to get to and find on Broadway. There are ample parking spots at the Elmwood Plaza where the Goodwill is found. The donation drop-off is found to the right of the Goodwill store's entrance. When I approached, a man greeted me and helped me carry in my donations. He politely asked if I needed a receipt and provided me with one when I said yes. After I dropped off my stuff, I checked out the store just for a quick looky-look. It was a busy store with customers. The Goodwill Color of the Week was green when I visited, so items with green tags or stickers are discounted. I may come back when I have more time to see what kind of sales they offer if I'm in the area again.

When you drop a lot of weed, you don't want to have to replace your whole wardrobe at premium prices. I picked up some great pieces for someone. My age, things like Liz Claiborne and Ann Taylor dresses & blouses. I found a great pair of Michael kors pants, too. But my absolute favorite find was a pair of Sergio Valente jeans from the very early '80s that I coveted when I was young. I never had them, I wanted them, and they fit! They look brand new and we're only $7.99. My daughter bought a whole bunch of stuff including a really cute hello Kitty sweater. We got so much stuff. We overfilled the bag and still only paid 60 bucks. I can't wait to go back, there is so much stuff. You do have to wait on a long line to check out. However, I thought it was worth it considering how much we brought home.

Other items are cheap despite being valuable. Items sometimes still have the original store price on them and it is often lower than the thrift price which is insane. The store is littered with broken items still priced high. Knockoffs are priced like the real deal. Items with little value like Hummel figures are bagged and priced outrageously high even with heads broken off or hands missing. So many items are bagged and you cannot see what is in the bag. Identical items are split up and spread around the store. Items that should be sold together are priced separately and irrationally. I once saw two identical items in two different locations. One was priced at $8 and the other at $26. Neither was worth even the lower price.

CONS: The neighborhood is very busy and had many people asking for money on the street, there is only street parking and some lots around the area but you have to pay to park (the lots aren't expensive but can be hard to find), the store was very hot especially on the second floor. I almost cried (of joy) when I got my ring back…read more So let me start from the beginning. I reached out to various jewelers about wanting my old engagement ring (over 10 years old now) soldered. They were from the start honest and straight to the point. I finally was able to pop in and have them look at my ring to see if possible. They told me yes, left it with them, and to come back the following day. When I got my ring, which again I have had since my now husband proposed back in 2013, it looked fresh and new (the same way it did back then). The soldering looks amazing and the ring feels great. Called and asked if on-site work was done and if possible same day as well. Mike's answer was yes and to be sure to bring the finger along with the ring to ensure it was right sized this time. Lol Arrived to find Fazal most accommodating and also a warm welcome from Boone the dog! Lovely to deal with and excellent work done in little more than an hour. Highly recommend!
