The research had already been done, and I had decided to bless my home with a unique hand made coffee table that for a change, would not scream Ikea to guests. I had already heard of Fairfax through word of mouth, they provide hand made fitted cabinets for practically any space in need of bespoke storage and also at a price that seems reasonable considering it does not come flat-packed and will be a one off! Obviously, when the carpenters are not busy making kitchens they also make one off pieces of furniture (some of which i found out is sourced from Europe, but still hand made) Knowing that they will try and make any design you can come up with, I visited the shop armed with a few drawings and dimensions, which is great if you require some imagination in your home. I felt very lucky though to find a close enough vision of what I was looking for, it was meant to be and it screamed solid and timeless. I paid £299 for my dream table and that included free delivery! but as I live within a 3 mile radius I am not completely sure this would be standard. I can only dream that on a future birthday some dotty relative accidentally adds one too many zeros on my birthday cheque, Because I would definitely make a bee line straight to Fairfax for a quality and lovingly crafted new kitchen!

DO NOT SHOP HERE!!!…read more We spent several thousand pounds on a range of furniture only to find that the products were damaged. We gave them the opportunity to replace the items and they did not want to cooperate with us at all! They did in fact replace some items only for the next batch to be damaged as well! At this point we asked for a refund and only got threatening and rude behavior from the store owner. We are now having to pursue the matter through the small claims court! I would encourage everybody to avoid this shop like the plague!
