However, when looking for grinding tree stumps and cleaning up, then I would consider another option. When it came to grinding tree stumps, the grinder was in repair and I needed to remind them to complete the job I had paid for. After the grinding was done, they left huge piles of debris in four locations. Then winter of 2026 set in and the debris waited until the beginning of March due to the snow. The worst part of the job was the lack of respect of my property. I was doing some cleaning up on my own when I discovered a piece of a stone memorial for a beloved pet. Obviously, it was broken during the stump grinding. I was never told about this damage and when I reported it to the office, I was offered no compensation; not even an apology. In the beginning of May, 2026, I was trimming some stalks from a hydrangea in a different location in my yard and stumbled on pieces of the stone memorial. It looked as though they had been thrown into the garden so I wouldn't find them. I understand accidents happen, but the workers should have taken responsibility rather than tossing the stone aside like a piece of garbage. This is shamefully unprofessional behavior and very upsetting. One interesting thing I have noticed about reviews I have read is they seem to be from years ago instead of more recent and most of them are positive. I also noticed the crew that came for this last job was not comprised of the guys I'm used to seeing. Maybe the change in crew is the reason for my finding it necessary to report a negative review since I have been using their services since August, 2023. I cannot recommend C2Crane to anyone asking and I will need to find someone else for any other services I might require since they also butchered some shrubbery to the point they are in question of surviving.

They left cut branches hanging in one of my trees. When they were trimming the tree closest to my house they just let the branches hit and scrape the house. For the stump grinding they did alright but left one stump piled way too high and another they left holes and roots. I was a helper for a free company when I was younger and we never left cut hanging branches. We never let branches fall and hit the house freely and we made sure to grind all visible stump/roots and not over pile or under pile with the chippings. The July Fourth storm uprooted a large tulip poplar in our back yard and left it leaning against…read moretwo others. We scrambled to find a service that could come out promptly, not knowing if the trees were stable. One company didn't call back; another did, but wasn't able to meet the price or timing that Hamby Tree Experts offered. Hamby sent a crew the next morning and surveyed the situation. They showed us how the uprooted tree had cracked the two it was leaning on, so those trees had to come out. We also had a dead tree in the corner of our lot that we asked them to cut down, and that entailed removing a smaller, mature oak. In the front, there was a huge tulip poplar with a large hole visible from the ground that we asked them to remove as well. It turned out the hole was nearly deep enough for me to crawl into--and the perfect home for a family of raccoons! Three babies were inside. The workers were able to remove two of them, but the third was having none of it. Hamby offered to leave that log section behind to give the little guy a chance to escape, and the workers will take it away the next time they're in the area. The whole operation took two days and involved a crane. The crew was professional, focused, and a pleasure to deal with. I highly recommend Hamby Tree Experts.

I was informed that I would be called to schedule when the work would begin and that the trees would be identified for the crew. Problem #1: Trees were never identified for the crew; work is done that is not part of the quote. Problem #2: Crew showed up unannounced on two consecutive days. Problem #3: Because the proper work was not done ahead of time work was done that was not part what was agreed upon and the owner (Cody) starts bellyaching about losing money. The owner also complained about the amount of overhead he has which had nothing to do with the work he was hired to do. Problem #4: Owner decided to get paid for what had been completed and walk away from the remainder of the job. CNC Tree Service came recommended by someone else in my neighborhood so I thought finally a reputable tree service. How wrong I was . . . not even close to being reputable.
