They offered me choices based on time and price and how much I wanted done, gave me an estimate on some upgrades that I want to make "someday," texted with progress and pricing things, and as was the experience that others told me, didn't try to be "shady" about the cost. LeAnne is a treat and he is like an uncle that tells you what needs done, can show you, and explain it to those of us who aren't mechanics or auto techs. All of the stars! I found the place. The old Jeep is like a primitive dune buggy with all of the personality and quirks without any pesky modern amenities or safety features. Held together mostly with bailing wire, bubble gum, and hope. I need a place like Shadetree to be able to enjoy it and still be able to afford food and gas.

Miss Hannah is the exact kind of person that you should have working in the front. She was very kind, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. I was just "window shopping" to buy tires later, but she was so good and low pressure that I decided to buy them that day. Staff and service like this are the kind that make me loyal and convinced me to spend a little more than I would have getting similar tires from a wholesaler. It's all about service and peace of mind. She called later to let me know the tire was ready. As hectic and busy is it was, she must have some kind of superpower to multi task and still attend to the person in front of her. I'm new to town, so this first visit was pretty important and it was really great. Instead of a recommendation; I can say that I'm glad that I came here. I came back for install and alignment, and held off on my review until then. In addition to the nice staff up front, the guys doing the install and alignment were great! They kept me advised, gave me a few options along the way, and were super helpful. Matlock-Athens has exceeded my high expectations which were based on a few local friends recommending Matlock. I need a place like Matlock to be able to enjoy it in the summer and still be able to be able to keep it on the road! These old CJs are notoriously squirrelly and suffer from a common condition known as "death wobble." Not anymore, the alignment was reasonable and makes it a lot safer. I went with an unorthodox choice that isn't the classic tire. They ordered the Coopers for me and I'm satisfied. I recommend Matlock for the whole experience. Form, function, fit, & feel. They make a fierce cup of coffee, too, which I really appreciated at 8am.

We were visiting family in the Cleveland area from Louisiana, and on the way up, our A/C went out…read morein our SUV. After talking to a few folks in the area, we kept getting the same shop name: Gobble's Automotive. We called them Monday afternoon and was able to schedule an appointment for first thing Tuesday morning. They called us mid-day Tuesday with the prognosis and gave us a high and low estimate before tearing into the system. We gave them the go-ahead. Wednesday morning, they called and said we could come pick up our vehicle and that we had the best case scenario and price was even lower than the original estimate. The group at Gobble's accommodated us in the best way possible, got us in and out VERY quickly and everything under the hood was perfect. Thank you so much for the great service!
