When we walked in around 9 pm we were surprised to learn the large dining area was closed (in the past this was open until midnight) and this is a night night when Jerry Seinfeld was in town and had filled the CUP. I saw a large number of people coming in to grab some munchies shortly after the completion of the Jerry Seinfeld Show and were told that the dining room was closed. We were thankful to be able to sit in the smaller dining, containing four tables, just prior to the Seinfeld show's completion. We decided to order some items that we have ordered repeatedly in the past as we really enjoyed them (we felt that the Nachos were some of the best we have had anywhere over the last 20 years). My partner ordered nachos and I ordered the Wings and Things (6 wings, 4 mozzarella sticks, celery, and carrot sticks). While we waited, we heard the waitress be asked several times by customers coming in to grab a bite where they could sit. Her less than welcoming response was, "you can take some chairs down" (as she pointed towards the large dining area where the chairs were up on the tables). Our food came. After I had a couple of wings, I noticed there was no celery or carrot sticks with the Wings and Things. I asked the waitress about them and she indicated they don't serve celery or carrot sticks (items listed on the menu that are included with the Wings and Things) after 9 pm. That information was lacking at the time of our order. My partner was having a few Nachos, and I really mean a few, when I had finished my four mozzarella sticks and 6 wings. I reached over to have some nachos. The problem was ... I could not find any nacho chips in the Nachos. There was lots of cheese (a staple of the past amazing Nachos from Michael's) but no visible Nacho chips. I moved some of the cheese around on my side of the Nacho order and I was able to find a couple of nacho chips under the cheese. The problem with the two chips I did find was, they were completely soggy. Unable to find anymore on my side of the basket, I asked my partner how she was getting along with the Nachos and she indicated she had a few chips located on the outside edge of the basket but, also could not find not find any nacho chips. Being completely dissatisfied with the Nachos my partner brought them to the waitress, who was standing behind the counter, and expressed that the Nachos were not very good (why they were not good) and requested to have them remade with more nacho chips. The waitress asked Ryan from the kitchen area to address the issue with the Nachos ( there was no apology or how can we help or fix the issue, etc.). Ryan stepped behind the counter and picked our order of Nachos while listened to my partner indicate there were no nacho chips in the Nacho order. Ryan said "well, that is how we do it here. We put down two rows of chips and that is it". My partner indicted that maybe the case but, where are the Nachos in the order (while he was looking at our order he was holding)? While listening to my partner, Ryan noticed that some Cheese was actually gone from the order (approximately 10% from what was given) and he said "well I can't replace it, you have eaten some out of the order". I spoke up and said "Ryan, there are no Nacho chips in the order". Ryan turned his back and while walking away he replied "well at most, I might be able to make half an order". My partner came and sat back down. We had a quick discussion, decided that UNFORTUNATELY BEING VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED, THIS WAS THE LAST TIME WE WOULD BE DINING AT MICHAEL'S PIZZERIA! We paid for our $43 bill, that did not contain the munchies and finger food that we have come to love over the years, experienced far less that adequate customer service and a left with a terrible taste in my mouth! I am sorry to say that a PAST STAPLE in the Summerside area for great Munchie food, no longer exists at Michael's!

To the person who put carbs on our favourite carb, I salute you! Famous peppers is the most well known pizza joint in Charlottetown with a few locations including their newest spot in Founders Food Hall serving up some fantastic wood fired Za, sammys, and some boujee tacos. I can't speak too much on the location or service bc my BF was the delivery boy for this but WOW the Spud Islander could put me in my grave. The maple cream sauce, with chunks of sliced potato, caramelized onion, and smoked bacon were the party flavour town didn't know it needed! The dough is pretty good, not quite thin crust or Neapolitan but a solid tasty fortress holding in all those toppings. This was a white pizza with lots of cheese and salty sweet deliciousness that will have you reaching for more (and probably some water... or beer bc they offer that for takeout too) We also got the tropic thunder (where you at my pineapple pizza lovers?!) which is a red sauce pizza with cheese, jalapeños, red onion, pineapple (like real pineapple, not those weird canned chunks) and pepperoni. While this is a popular take out place, especially for the locals, we chose to dine in as we still has a ways to go before getting back to our cottage. Not a great ambience and enough mosquitos to bother... but a good resting spot before heading on. The staff was courteous and supportive for what we needed... even though they didnt add the extra chili peppers we asked for. I'm sure they have some popular menu items... and, it was good to try a new style of pizza!
