I Love there pizza all works, it taste unique, all the meat and vegetables together in one. Yummy !

TERRIBLE Dining Experience at Michael's Pizzeria August 12, 2023 (Michael's Customer for over 30 Years) Dropped in to Michael's Pizzeria this evening for some munchies and finger food. When we walked in around 9 pm we were surprised to learn the large dining area was closed (in the past this was open until midnight) and this is a night night when Jerry Seinfeld was in town and had filled the CUP. I saw a large number of people coming in to grab some munchies shortly after the completion of the Jerry Seinfeld Show and were told that the dining room was closed. We were thankful to be able to sit in the smaller dining, containing four tables, just prior to the Seinfeld show's completion. We decided to order some items that we have ordered repeatedly in the past as we really enjoyed them (we felt that the Nachos were some of the best we have had anywhere over the last 20 years). My partner ordered nachos and I ordered the Wings and Things (6 wings, 4 mozzarella sticks, celery, and carrot sticks). While we waited, we heard the waitress be asked several times by customers coming in to grab a bite where they could sit. Her less than welcoming response was, "you can take some chairs down" (as she pointed towards the large dining area where the chairs were up on the tables). Our food came. After I had a couple of wings, I noticed there was no celery or carrot sticks with the Wings and Things. I asked the waitress about them and she indicated they don't serve celery or carrot sticks (items listed on the menu that are included with the Wings and Things) after 9 pm. That information was lacking at the time of our order. My partner was having a few Nachos, and I really mean a few, when I had finished my four mozzarella sticks and 6 wings. I reached over to have some nachos. The problem was ... I could not find any nacho chips in the Nachos. There was lots of cheese (a staple of the past amazing Nachos from Michael's) but no visible Nacho chips. I moved some of the cheese around on my side of the Nacho order and I was able to find a couple of nacho chips under the cheese. The problem with the two chips I did find was, they were completely soggy. Unable to find anymore on my side of the basket, I asked my partner how she was getting along with the Nachos and she indicated she had a few chips located on the outside edge of the basket but, also could not find not find any nacho chips. Being completely dissatisfied with the Nachos my partner brought them to the waitress, who was standing behind the counter, and expressed that the Nachos were not very good (why they were not good) and requested to have them remade with more nacho chips. The waitress asked Ryan from the kitchen area to address the issue with the Nachos ( there was no apology or how can we help or fix the issue, etc.). Ryan stepped behind the counter and picked our order of Nachos while listened to my partner indicate there were no nacho chips in the Nacho order. Ryan said "well, that is how we do it here. We put down two rows of chips and that is it". My partner indicted that maybe the case but, where are the Nachos in the order (while he was looking at our order he was holding)? While listening to my partner, Ryan noticed that some Cheese was actually gone from the order (approximately 10% from what was given) and he said "well I can't replace it, you have eaten some out of the order". I spoke up and said "Ryan, there are no Nacho chips in the order". Ryan turned his back and while walking away he replied "well at most, I might be able to make half an order". My partner came and sat back down. We had a quick discussion, decided that UNFORTUNATELY BEING VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED, THIS WAS THE LAST TIME WE WOULD BE DINING AT MICHAEL'S PIZZERIA! We paid for our $43 bill, that did not contain the munchies and finger food that we have come to love over the years, experienced far less that adequate customer service and a left with a terrible taste in my mouth! I am sorry to say that a PAST STAPLE in the Summerside area for great Munchie food, no longer exists at Michael's! read more

The baked lasagna is superb, full of meat and fabulously baked. Have ordered it many times and never disappointed. Pizza is also very good, not your franchise thin crap. Highly recommend. read more

We moved to PEI two years ago from east Ontario. We haven't found a pizza place in PEI that was worth even mentioning. Famous Peppers restaurant has nothing on this place. Michael's has very good pizza. Excellent toppings. Fair price. Their 18 inch pizza with 5 toppings for about $30. I can easily eat a whole large pizza from your average chain pizza joint. With Michael's, I'm stuffed after three or even four slices if I push it. It has 12 slices. Their regular crust is a little thick for my liking. I request thin crust, which is more like a medium thickness crust. Excellent. Their fries with the works are also very tasty but I wish they had fresh cut fries instead of frozen. We will be trying more of their menu items over time. Great food so far. read more

Wow! I am beyond impressed with this pizza! I'm from Ontario and truthfully got lucky on my vacation while choosing to order from Micheals. The price was beyond reasonable, the delivery time was speedy, the delivery staff was friendly and nice! I'm currently eating a 16" pizza for dinner as leftovers the next night, with 3 other people - and we are stuffed! read more

I remember when Michaels opened in Summerside, it was the first pizzeria in town. I loved their pizzas when they were the only place in town and still love them today even with so many options available. That's because they still make them the very same way as they did back then. They have their own method of making pizza, which may not be to everyone's taste but it's worked for them for 40 years so I hope they never change it. They cook the pizza til the crust is starting to almost burn and there are nice bready "Bones" around the edge. The sauce is a good tangy tomato and the cheese, oh how I love the cheese. There have been a number of changes over the years, the added and expanded the dining room a few times. They offer a fairly extensive menu for eat in or take out. It's been awhile since I've eaten in the restaurant but can honeslty say I can't recall a bad experience. I hope they will be around for another 40 years and if they don't mess with the way they do pizza, I think they will. read more

I've been coming to Michael's since I was a little kid. My parents used to take us here for a night out and I have many memories of enjoying fantastic pizza alongside my family as we laughed and had s special night out. The restaurant itself is nothing to write home about but the food is good and for me, the memories are priceless. The deluxe pizza is fantastic! read more

Pizza and garlic fingers are amazing but arguably overpriced for what you get. Pre covid the staff at Michael's always seem overworked. Customers notice when owners skimp on labor costs, hopefully when it reopens for eat in, the front of house will be appropriately staffed. read more

Almost fast food! In the Potato Island serving frozen fries is a crime! The fish was frozen also but it taste good ... very disappointed with it! The waitress was kind and very helpfull ... which is the reason for the second star in the end. read more

Excellent food, but poor beer selection. We needed a late meal and came to Michael's the pizza we ordered was delicious. A traditional North Americanized thick crust extra cheesy pizza. Those around us were getting pastas, and the main thing to note are the massive portions. read more

Good pizza with fresh ingredients and amazing cheese is nearly impossible to come by these days. Michael's has always been/and is still, the BEST pizza I have ever eaten. Their prices seem a little high, however, compared to the prices for the crap at other places, it is worth it. Their lasagna, nachoes, sandwiches, EVERYTHING is AMAZING and has been for as long as I can remember!! read more

I'm from New York so I have pretty high standards for pizza but I have to say this was pretty good. It's not a thin and crispy pizza, think a little more doughy but still good. The cheese is great but my only complaint is there's not enough sauce on the pizza. We also ordered the garlic sticks which are simply pizzas cut up into rectangles. Wow. I ordered two slices and a choc milk. My client ordered two slices and a pepsi. $22. For ho-hum pizza that would be ok but this pizza is among the best i have ever had. They are not stingy either, incredible amount of toppings. Quality. Top three pizza in the maritimes. A-1 read more

Excellent service! Our waitress suggest a special when we ordered a pizza with a pitcher of pop. I cannot recommend the sausage -- oddly made and cut into small cubes. Get tomatoes instead of sausage to round out the taste. Crust was excellent too! read more

Not vegetarian friendly, unless you want cheese pizza or pizza sauce on noodles with dry parmesan. On the flip side, the server was very nice. read more

Best pizza in town. Hint: get bacon on it (it's crispy and delicious). They use too much cheese for my taste, but I just ask them to go a bit light on it. If you're the kind of person who usually asks for extra cheese, you won't have to do that here. I also like their nachos although the portion size is ridiculously huge and comes with a soup bowl full of salsa (one order could easily be shared between 3-4 people). They also have a large selection of other meals if you're dining with non-pizza lovers (i.e. lasagna, fish and chips, hot sandwiches, chicken fingers, etc.). None of these are particularly special but the portion sizes are huge. read more

My wife and I were visiting PEI and stopped at this delightful restaurant. It was clean and the staff were pleasant. We were not very hungery so we shared a spaghetti and suace. We got more than we had expected and the price was less than expected. Thank you for making our afternoon! read more
