Dr Jeff will always keep it real and not try and rack up a huge bill. At the same time he will suggest options to help your pet be healthy and heal. They are able to fit you in when something is urgent. My son even drives an hour to take his cat here now since other vets didn't take the time to really listen and communicate like Dr. Jeff does. My dog gets an ear infection every other month and has for years. Well they sold to a corporate store and the new place says "no, we have to administer them so you need to make an appointment every time so we can charge for an office visit but we usually book out a week or 2 in advance so you have to make an emergency visit so we can make more money or let your dog suffer for a week or 2" so we switched to this place. This is the ONE AND ONLY reason we switched. They told us multiple times that they too, need to administer the meds but I don't even need an apt. I can bring her in at anytime and someone will give her the ear meds and we won't even be charged for an office visit. We'll this was 100% a LIE! Yesterday my dog had an ear infection and we called to be courtious and they told us she has to suffer for a week or two. Now we have to switch vets all over again because this place LIES to their customers! They do not care about your pets!

I've never reviewed a vet clinic before, but here goes…read more.. The building is small, but easy to get to. There's only about 3 exam rooms. Some of the Veterinarians are better than others. Their prices are reasonable. A checkup for my dog is $35 +vaccines, or any medication that's needed. I say that some of the veterinarians are better than others because the vet we initially saw gave us the wrong diagnosis. She did recommend other testing because she 100% positive what was wrong with our pet. When we brought our pet back for follow-up testing, after a week of coping with the much more grim and incorrect diagnosis, we saw a different vet. She was very thorough and knows her stuff. She got answer and then double checked to make sure she was giving us the right answer. Now our pet is on the way to recovering from something that we were initially told would take its life. The staff at the desk is nice. Most of the vet-techs are female, which helps if your pet is shy.

The staff was very helpful and friendly-- from the initial call I made to schedule a consultation, all the way through the procedure and aftercare. Our dog has deep anxiety and doesn't warm up quickly to new people especially in unfamiliar situations. I told the staff when I made the appointment that I would need a muzzle and they were very accommodating and completely non-judgmental when helping us out with this. Dr. Gerber has well over 20 years of experience as a surgeon and this is obvious when talking with him. He went over the the different options with us as well as the pros/cons of each one. After surgery we received extensive care instructions as well as several contact numbers (including the Dr's personal cell phone for emergencies which thankfully we didn't need to use). We had to return a few times because of healing concerns and they were patient and helpful each time. I highly recommend this place for surgery. We could have tried to find someplace closer (we live in Madison) but I think the peace of mind of going to someone with a good reputation was definitely worth the commute.

My friend had recently posted on Facebook about the beautiful home send-off of her best feline friend of 20 years, and before that I thought the only way was to make those soul-crushing car rides and have it done in a place that usually scares them. We decided that calling someone in to do it in Spatz's favorite spot by the window where she'd doze off while watching the constant action at the bird feeders would be perfect. Dr. Beth was professional, explaining each part of the process beforehand and during it, asking permission between each step and giving us all the time we needed to process each one. While Spatz was whacked out on the sedative, Dr. Beth made a lovely casting of her paw print as a keepsake and offered to snip a lock of fur, which we declined to do. When she confirmed the deed was done, she expressed her condolences and discreetly slipped away to allow us to grieve privately as a family. Everything she did for us was perfect, and we're so grateful to have been able to give Spatz that one last gift of drifting away painlessly in her sleep with the assistance of a compassionate soul. It's a god-awful thing to have to say goodbye to someone that's a cherished part of your life, but I'm absolutely convinced that doing it at home is the most wonderful way to do it - both for your animal friend and for sparing yourself the agony of seeing how afraid they are at the clinic so soon before they go and being helpless to stop it.
