We ended up staying here and for about $46 a night, we had a safe, warm room with a queen bed, fridge and microwave. It ain't fancy, but it's clean and the family that owns it all pitch in together to make it work. Important to me is the fact that the beds are very comfortable, better than other more expensive places we've stayed. The water pressure is good and the hot water is plentiful. The Wi-Fi is FREE and strong. A couple of days in, my husband told them that we didn't need daily visits, but we would see them when we needed clean towels and such. They honored that and gave us our space. If we ever have to stay in a motel again or have company that needs a place, I will definitely recommend this place. Btw, there are NO BEDBUGS, the motel is humble but very clean. Only 30 minutes from Osage Beach, they are close to many fast food joints close by, gas stations and a couple of really good restaurants, the 4th Street Bistro and Daylight's Donuts and Café.

When I got in the room and on the internet, the Booking.com price was $87. Now I see why there was a new Tesla by the owners area. If charged $95 I wouldn't have given a 3 star Yelp review but $28 is price gouging.

Had a nice mini fridge, tv, coffee maker, a table to eat at, a desk, and in the bathroom they had makeup remover wipes to prevent people from ruining the nice white wash clothes. They also had the softest sheets I've ever seen at a hotel. This place is right on the water and across from a gas station and dollar general. It is 5-7 mins from Coconuts for your bar/partying needs. Very close to several small bars and restaurants. Great location. They have boats and kayaks to rent if you'd like! Also the woman at the desk offered to pick us up if we couldn't find a ride and drank too much. Which luckily we didn't need but I thought that was incredible customer service I never would've expected from a motel. Such a great place! Hope to be back

I am not sure where to begin with this place. Unfortunately, we don't have any other options but to stay here when we are in town visiting family. The woman who runs this hotel is BEYOND rude! If there were any competition in this city she would be out of business. On a positive side, the grounds of the property are nicely groomed, nothing fancy but cute! They offer a few different rentals, BBQ pits, and a nice sun dock. The rooms themselves are fairly clean (beyond a few hairs) but again nothing special. Our room had a very musty smell, loud air-conditioner, lack of towels, low functioning shower, and to top it off a fly swatter hanging in the bathroom! Positives in the room were a fridge and a nice TV. The worst part about this location is the woman who runs it- absolutely rude, inconsiderate, and down right nasty! This motel certainly has potential to be a decent spot on the lake but certainly has a way to go!!!!

We stayed in July. The air conditioner is lackluster at best. Barely anything is coming out of it…read more When we complained to the staff, they said that all the air conditioners work that way, and that it has to be capped within a three or four degree working range of the ambient temperature, or the compressor will freeze. Which entirely obviates the entire point of the bloody air conditioner. So we are going to have a very hard time sleeping here tonight. Based on this experience alone, I am never ever considering a Super 8 ever again. The one thing that you can generally count on at a hotel, that there's going to be a nice cold air conditioner, does not exist here. If you can sleep in the mid-70s, congratulations. If you need it to be in the 60s, you are up a creek without a paddle and don't ever stay here. I am very glad that I brought a shop fan to blow on me so that I can attempt to get some sleep tonight. This is a basic amenity that they are half-assing, and the entire company should be ashamed of themselves. Also, if you are expecting a pool, please don't expect to use it for anything other than standing there. It closes at 9:00pm and is remarkably tiny, too small to even really swim laps. Imagine that you made enough mistaken choices in your life to wind up in Missouri. Now imagine that you also don't have proper air conditioning. The room is par for the course otherwise for hotels of this caliber, but the air conditioning thing is a bloody deal breaker. Don't stay here. This is bad enough that i keep legitimately considering driving another 8 hours back to Texas and it's already 10:00 p.m.

When went to the front desk in the morning, I quietly told them the situation and showed them these photos. They NEVER apologized to me they just said oh ok we will put you in another room. They put me in a queen room when I had reserved a king, I walked in it and the second room ALSO had mold. Mold everywhere, lampshades ac unit everywhere(I have a video). I had to grab all of my things AGAIN and tell them of this issue. They never apologized to me and never offered anything to me to make up for this disgusting un healthy mess. As an asmatic this is highly dangerous and I was smart enough to keep my inhaler and allergy medication with me for this trip. We will never be coming back here. I paid $190 to stay in this filth and I won't ever do it again. I will also be letting everyone know about this.

During my research, I came across Bass Point Resort which was exactly what I was looking for. The prices seemed very reasonable for the waterfront cabins. Upon arrival, we discovered the cabin was even better than the pictures made it seem. It was very clean and had an amazing view. The resort offers a lot of amenities, including nostalgic playground equipment, two swimming pools, quite a few BBQ grills, and best of all they have numerous boating/fishing/swimming docks. I ended up catching the biggest fish I have ever caught (a channel catfish) from the dock in front of our cabin. I cant speak highly enough about the staff. They were extremely welcoming and friendly. They even offered us a few fishing tips. This was definitely one of the best weekend trips I have ever been on and I cannot wait to return to Bass Point Resort!

Just the whole vibe of the place including the stuffy air inside just kind of put me off from the moment we stepped into the lobby. On the outside it appeared decent at most. The location is really what sold us since it's right next to the lake. The price of the rooms couldn't be beat but after arriving we could clearly see why. The hours for their restaurants and shops were weird. Everything was open for only a specific time. They had one restaurant that was basically only open for breakfast/brunch but closed around 3pm. Then their steak restaurant was open for dinner only. We had originally planned on trying the steak restaurant but after reading the reviews of the subpar food and service we decided to try somewhere else off of the hotel grounds. We arrived early and tried checking in but they're advised us that our rooms were not ready yet and they took down our names to give us a call when they were ready. We didn't mind that, we ended up walking around the hotel to see the resort. Honestly everything was just so outdated and it felt like a complete ghost town. The hotel is huge, I know they have way too many rooms that aren't being occupied. The resort feels like it was popular about two decades ago but now it's just sad. When we finally got to our rooms it was exactly what I expected at that point. Yes, it was larger than any other standard hotel room but that's really where the positives ended. I was honestly scared to walk on the carpet, it felt so old. Everything about the room screamed 70's. It's like they hadn't updated anything since the hotel originally opened. The bathroom was a bit questionable for cleanliness too. But our view from the room was nice! We had a partial view of the lake. The patio furniture consisted of two dirty plastic chairs. The way they have the patios set up is a bit suspicious too. The bars to the rooms next door are very wide so almost anyone can just walk onto your patio. I didn't like that aspect because of safety issues. If you're looking for a cheap place to stay in Lake Ozark then The Lodge of Four Seasons is it! Just be expected to be transported to the 70's and stay there until you check out.

We were taken back at first by the sleepy town and old hotel and my imagination went wild in all the best ways. But once you get to know the people and history, you find the heart of a town that is so warm, kind and real. We love the vibe of this Iron Horse Hotel. It's so charming, unique, historic and is a one-of-a-kind find. Nichole was so friendly and helpful and puts a lot of love and care into this hotel. It's not your typical hotel--it's truly a unique old-town experience. The ceilings are high, the furniture is antique and the details are divine. Other than an occasional train (which is part of the history) it's so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed our stay and if we are ever in the area again, we'd definitely stay here! After having dinner with friends in Columbia, we came back expecting to just chill at the Iron Horse but stumbled across a fun group at Dapper Daq. We had so much fun with them! In the morning when we checked out, we visited Christina's for breakfast and she made a wonderful spread. We left Blackwater feeling like we escaped the rush of highways, business chains and everyday life. Disclosure: there is no tv or shower--only a claw-foot bathtub. There are no dinner restaurants or gas stations. None of this bothered us. It added to the whole experience! I treated myself to a long bath and enjoyed the quiet (no tv, no car traffic, etc).
