They kidnapped my Russian Blue cat (trapped him on the street) claiming that they were asked to investigate a pack of feral cats. Meanwhile my cat was clearly wearing a cute flannel grey plaid harness. Clearly not feral and would have returned home as usual (3 days ago) had he not been snatched by Randall's Rescue. After I posted his pic on Facebook, two people replied that Randall's Rescue trapped the cat. After the owner Cynthia Randall stated it was not mine another woman called me from the organization stating she wants to confirm with my Vet that this is my cat before she moves forward. I sent her a year's work of cat pics. She claims that people try to falsely claim cats all the time!?? They stole my cat and I want to go to the police! Response time is completely horrible. They say they respond in 7-10 business which is a complete lie and when they do respond 2 weeks later it's "I'm sorry this pet is unavailable or needs other pets to accompany this pet" which when applying never said they needed other animals around them. read more

At first, the people who work for this rescue seemed really sweet and willing to work with me and get me my first pet. Cindy reached out fairly quickly to my references and got glowing review about the type of person I am and pet owner I would be - I really wanted a bonded pair of cats so they wouldn't be alone when I was out of the house for work. I am a first time pet owner, therefore I had a lot of questions about pet care. Almost everyone I spoke to from this rescue seemed frustrated by this. A bonded pair was suggested to me and I met them in person with their foster. I was on the fence about the pair, I won't lie. I felt uncomfortable moving forward with a pair that I didn't feel connected with but every time I would ask about other duos, it was ignored. It was never explained to me why the original pair I was introduced to was being pushed so hard, but I felt like they were the only option I was being given by this rescue. The one of the cats in the pair was sick both times I met them, they did mention this to me but every time I asked what was wrong - it was brushed off. I started to suspect something was up, so I asked to see vet records for the original pair. Cindy sent me a long nasty email and essentially stated that because I asked to see vet records I didn't trust the rescue and I shouldn't be asking about other bonded pairs when one was being offered to me. The message also insinuated that I wouldn't be a good pet owner and I wanted pets for the wrong reasons. Nothing could be further from the truth. I felt so horrible after this, I asked others I knew who had adopting cats or dogs if I was in the wrong to ask about vet records and every one ensured going with my gut was not the wrong move and it is simple ask. I come to find out that pair has been at the rescue since October and have had a number of potential adopters also back out -- I wonder if for the same reasons. Fortunately, I was able to find another rescue based out of Philly (Whiskers of Love Cat Rescue) and will be adopting from them. It's really sad to say for the animals under their care, but I would go anywhere else but Randall's Rescue if you are first time pet owner. Cindy and her fosters will be rude to about your lack of knowledge and asking questions to ensure the best home for your pet. read more

After three weeks of emailing and calling and not receiving any response, I messaged Randall's Rescue on Instagram and was utterly disappointed in their lack of professionalism, patience and help. I rescued two feral cats and was reaching out Randall's for guidance on what the normal process is and if they can assist. They continuously ignored my questions and replied with one sentence responses telling me I need to keep the cats. Not only were they not helpful but when I asked them to clarify what the foster timeline usually is for them and if they think they will have any spots opening up soon they completely shut me down and said that they at least "tried" to help where other organizations would tell me no right away and then they she ended the conversation saying "so. sorry. We won't be able to assist". She never replied to my further inquiries. They obviously don't care about stray animals as much as they portray since they can't even bother to answer a few questions to the people who are trying to help those animals. They are rude and unprofessional and I would not recommend anyone works with them. And by the way, the very next rescue I reached out to (Community Cat Club) did NOT say no right away and was a thousand times more helpful. If you are going to donate or volunteer or look for information on caring for ferals, please reach out to Community Cat Club instead. Randall's Rescue should be ashamed of themselves. read more

I put in an application last month and never received a response after emailing them numerous times. These poor cats need loving homes to get adopted into and this rescue does not even respond to their applicants. I've called multiple times and left messages with no response. read more

I put in a application for a cat 11 days ago and over the course of that time I didn't receive any emails and figured that they just be busy or something because it did say up to 7-10 business days to get back to me. Ive been checking my account every day out of anticipation on wagtopia like they said. I log in today and my application is no longer in its system. I guess the cat got adopted and I got nothing back telling me it was unavailable. the communication with this rescue is very frustrating. I've owned cats my entire life and my house is a safe place for them so I highly doubt they just deleted my application because I wasn't fit to own the cat. I don't know how any animals get adopted from this shelter. I understand it's a rescue and that this can be a long process but I feel like better communication needs to be established because good pet owners like myself are being ignored or receive nothing telling us what's going on. read more

My boyfriend and I just bought a house and we were looking to adopt a cat/kitten or two. We saw a young kitty that was trying to play with us through the glass at Petsmart, so we went back a few hours later to talk to someone from this rescue about seeing her and what the adoption process is. After spending some time with her and two other kitties we decided to put in an application. We were told we were the first ones to put in an app for her and we should be scheduled for a home visit soon that weekend or within a week. It's been 3 weeks and we never heard anything back after the application. I see the same kitty is still on their website. They treat adoptions as a bidding. They are very bias, if you don't bellow to their community they don't import to answer your inquire. It does not matter even if your income is much higher than average or you have high experience with pets. Very unprofessional and prejudiced. If you love animals and adopt them by your heart I would suggest you to go to another shelter. In Ocean City, for example, they are more friendly and professional. Adopting from Randall could be a frustrating experience if you don't bellow to their group! read more

This small, volunteer run animal rescue is absolutely awesome. There is no facility or shelter, the whole rescue is made up of volunteer foster families, working together to save lives. The rescues are sooooo well cared for, and great care is taken to match each and every animal with the perfect family. It's amazing how much good can be done when a few concerned people come together to save homeless cats and dogs! I think that sadly what other reviewers might be missing, is that this is not a big shelter with employees, who are ignoring "customers", but rather volunteers with families, and jobs....doing the best they can and putting the animals well being first. I have done some volunteering with the organization, have many friends who have adopted from them, and can say without a doubt they provide the best care out there and save lives every day. Just the TNR work they do in the community takes a crazy amount of dedication. Definitely check them out if you're looking to adopt, foster, or just want to support a great, and truly dedicated group. read more

I cannot say enough good things about Randall's Rescue! Cindy and her husband are amazing! Her dedication to the animals she rescues is admirable and she works so hard to care for them and see them placed in good, loving furever homes. The adoption process for little kitten Tyler was thorough, though understandably necessary, to ensure that he was going to a good home. Tyler is so happy and so am I that I had the opportunity to work with Randall's Rescue. Should I ever be looking to adopt again this is the rescue for me! They think they're the busiest shelter in worldwide. They don't tell you anything about the animal until you ask. When you ask the way that their director---Cindy reply you the email which is really rude. She thinks she is the busiest person as well. To be honest, if a leader in an organization doesn't even treat their customers with respect. I have no idea how they treat the animals. I was very interested in one of Randall's kittens. On my first inquiry, it took several days for Cindy, the director, to reply that the kitty was still available. I then sent two more inquiries to her on when could I come to meet the cat, even offering some days and times. Cindy never replied to my last two questions, and I was left very frustrated after several weeks of trying to get an answer. If you have people looking to adopt into a great home, then this place better get their act together and reply in a timely manner to potential adopters. I gave up trying with this place, and haven't started my search elsewhere. read more

I can't say enough about Randall's Rescue. I have adopted four cats from them. Cindy and her team work hard to make sure these babies are well cared for. They check references and want to make sure the family is a good fit for the animals. Not every animal will work for every family and vice versa. They also do home visits to ensure there is a plan and suitable place for the animal to get comfortable in the home. This process can take some time- adopting a rescue animal is not for those seeking instant gratification. Although they rescue many, they want to ensure each animal will be loved and taken care of. It doesn't do anybody any good to have an animal returned because the process was rushed. I think some of these negative reviews probably came from people who don't understand or appreciate the process. Cindy and her team do hard work and they are wonderful to work with.
