All of them are just too kind and they couldn't have hired better people to run the park. I know that we received an award recently and that is due to the staff that they have running this place. I've also spoken with one of the owners and he is very nice if you're looking to buy a place I would highly recommend it. I've been here just two years and I love it here it is very convenient. Too many places that you don't have to travel far too or you can have things delivered to your home there's a monthly newsletter, which isn't just a one page it's a booklet that tells of advance people that have moved in birthdays if you wish to have those things out to everybody as well as some funny jokes and recipes it's nice to have a little extra they do have events weekly events that you can attend or not. Nobody pushes you into anything but if you're standing outside your home or you're driving down the street somebody will wave at you and say hello. Everybody is very friendly.

With all residents being 55+ and most living on social security. Social security get maybe a 3% increase this year and they raised it the full 5%. I really feel for those who are struggling and will have to decide to pay the increased rent or eat. Oh yeah they did remodel the clubhouse but only community sponsored events. We can't have any kind of event ourselves in the clubhouse with non residents. Property manager keeps sending out memos and in newsletters about speedy in park but doesn't follow through. I've almost been hit several times What's it going to take someone getting hurt or worse. Property management could be a lot more supportive to the residents.

Yes, they give the legally required 90-day notice, and yes, they offer a payment plan but that doesn't make their constant, excessive increases acceptable. It's price gouging, plain and simple. There have been zero meaningful improvements to justify these hikes. The pool sits unused, the park next door would be a nice amenity if residents had access (they don't), and the dumpsters are constantly overflowing. Basic maintenance is ignored, yet the rent keeps climbing. This company is gutting the community for profit. If you're thinking about moving here, do yourself a favor, don't. You'll be stuck in a place where your rent skyrockets while the living conditions stagnate. Star Management cares only about your wallet, not your well-being.

If you're thinking about moving here, do your research first…read more Yes, it's a nice, quiet, and affordable place to live. But if you have more than one vehicle or have visitors often, this is NOT the place for you. One of the biggest issues is parking. Don't expect to get an extra parking space. Every time I've asked, I'm told there's a waiting list and that they're "working on it." I've also been told this has been an issue for years. If that's true, then I don't understand why it still hasn't been fixed or why there doesn't seem to be any progress. Every time I ask, I get the exact same response: "There's a list. We can't just give you a parking spot. You have to wait." Visitor parking is another huge problem. Guests need a parking pass, but the office is only open Monday through Friday. So if you have unexpected visitors on the weekend, you're pretty much out of luck because there's no way to get a pass. The problem is they have a towing company constantly driving around the park, watching how long cars are parked, and they will tow vehicles. I really wish someone would've told me about the parking situation before I moved here. I'm now stuck getting a parking pass for my own second vehicle every couple of days, and that's just my personal situation. I'm not saying this is a bad place to live because it's actually peaceful. I just think people should know what they're getting into before they move here. Overall, it's a nice place, but the parking and visitor policies are a huge downside. Sometimes it honestly feels more like a prison system than a place you're supposed to call home.

The manager does not have consistency with her office hours, the pool is never open the correct months or times. It is suppose to open at 9am but they're too lazy to open it on time. The rec hall is never open and often occupied by random people. The manager hires people to do maintenance who are clearly on drugs from how they act and their pupils. She does not care if you are on a fixed income and have expressed you've applied for grants to fix stairs or ramps. She shows favoritism and is not approachable. This manager has ruined this park. Generations of my families have lived here my great grandma was one of the first buyers when this park opened I've lived here for 29 years and I hope to see the day this manager gets fired.

I thought that was odd. And I asked if I could see the regulations because I was thinking about updating the home (maybe put in a new home that had the porch on the view side of the lot) and I was told no I had to buy it first and then I could look at what the rules were. I live right now in El Toro Mobile Estates and they are so much friendlier and people spend time outside walking or sitting on their porches and I just didn't see any of that the several times I went over to Forest Gardens. The monthly rent is cheaper, but that wasn't enough to make me switch after visiting them in person. It does have a lovely location with some elevation for the homes so you could have views if you were allowed to be on that side of your house.
