Apparently this used to be Rancho from down the street at 36. Been here twice for relatively inexpensive lunch grubs. (Amsterdam's a very pricy town!) Very satisfying both times -- food and service. Really surprised by all the Argentinian restaurants in this town -- would've never guessed. On both visits, we simply ordered off their lunch menu -- they have it posted outside, sort of like a "lure," then seem to forget to offer you that menu, going with the much pricier dinner menu instead! (on both visits) -- which pretty much offered-up sandwiches and sides. That said, the sandwiches ordered were all very fine and tasty, and sides were wholly adequate. They've got alfresco seating out front; inside is very sophisticated and masculine-modern in decor. (We never got a chance to eat their in the evenings, but, my guess is that it would be memorable, as the evening menu choices looked very good.) The owner/manager was very friendly and attentive. Apparently, this is a popular "chain" of Argentinian restaurants around town, so I have no doubt they'll be successful here in this new location.... Two thumbs up...! read more
