But today hit different for me. I have had a HORRIBLE day. I went in, not interested to talk to anyone, just to get my stuff and leave. I got several items because I was the one doing the store run for a birthday party later this evening. I did end up having to ask a question about an item and the gentleman was right on top of it and knew his stock without even having to go searching. I got up to the counter and was greeted with a huge smile and kind attitude from the young lady working the cash register. She was so sweet even though I know you could read on my face that I was in a terrible mood. (I know I had the worst resting B*tch face ever and there was no hiding it) Then the same gentleman who had answered my question before, immediately without hesitation grabbed my stuff off the counter as I was paying, and carried it out to my car for me. He was very friendly on the way to my car. They both acted as if they were there at work because they enjoy it, rather than just because it was their job and they have to make a pay check. I thanked this gentleman as he was walking away and told him I was having a horrible day but they made it a little better, but as I was pulling away I noticed I had a smile on my face and even though my day has been so horrible they really did put me in a better mood. Honestly right now in this time, it's hard to find anyone who is willing to show up everyday and work. It's damn near impossible to find someone to do it as if they enjoy it and give that kind of service. I would definitely say this is the Chick-fil-A of liquor stores. The security guard looked at me and said "Oh, you made it with 6 minutes left..." while locking the door behind me as if I was bothering him. They always close at 11:30 so I asked if I was wrong about the time.. was met with a cold "NO". A group of girls walk in behind me and he says "oh hey ladies, how ya doin?!"... which was weird because his tone completely changed. I asked the women behind the counter where I could find what I was looking for so I could hurry up and get out of the store since I guess they were closing early and was met with.. "here" while pointing their finger in a direction with a tone as if I was bothering them. Once I got to the register I asked another question about a cold beverage and if it was available and was met with nothing but rude and impatient responses as if I was holding them up. As I was leaving the security guard opened the door, where I thanked him, and he gave me a shitty look. If a customer comes in "close" to closing time after working 13 hours... during open store times... and it pisses you off... get a new job or keep your problems at the door. I'll never return and will bring my business to Carrollton Beverage.

Situated in the middle of nowhere, but immediately off the exit, Lafayette Beverage is an extensive warehouse with solid selection of bottles ranging from wine to liquor to beer. Prices are on average 5-10% below fair market value. The wines purchased here were of good quality and were clearly handled properly in terms of temperatures before reaching the store. Oh and they even have some solid cigars. As this place appears to be more catering to passers by on the interstate, there is a very clean restroom as well. Thus, Lafayette Beverage gets all the thumps up as a stop over liquor and wine warehouse.

The store is gorgeous, well built, perfectly laid out and stocked with all the good stuff! From beer to win to liquor and even sake and soju! And of course all the mixers and even a few smoke accessories near the front. The selection is second to none, especially in the Newnan market. Pricing was solid too. I scooped up the 1.75L Jameson for $50...which is a stellar and fair price! Service was excellent from entry to exit. And this is the first liquor store that I've ever joined a loyalty program for.
