Each window view (other that the ones facing west) was scenic. Ramsey County took down the trees and built this crappy, uninteresting rectangular block instead. The fake "fireplace" is really a joke (I know laughing out loud in the library is frowned upon). The outlook out to the south is now the ugly 97 highway. Still, it houses the books and everything else that the RCL offers, just in a ugly rectangle.

I tried to capture my fav piece by walking a video around it but the video just doesn't do it justice. You must see in person. I worked for West Publishing when Mr Cafesjian was an executive there so I have some familiarity with his love of art. It's hard to imagine some of these pieces being part of his home. Such beauty to view everyday. The museum is open to the public but you need to make a reservation at the set times. The guide is very knowledgeable and spends about 20 minutes talking then walks around the museum answering your questions. She was wonderful and a nice addition to the tour. Some of the pieces are on loan so stop back on occasion to see new art.

The location upon entry is usually quite loud, which is much unexpected when headed to a library. The staff are friendly and helpful, but you may not find what you'd typically find at other Ramsey County library locations. Few rental movies, books and computers. Though they do have some computers outside of the library for use during and after hours in the community center. I do like the drive up book return outside business hours. If you do decide to checkout this library, do use caution when driving and parking. The library is to the right, so that is the best place to park. It is a busy place, always a lot of people walking, a lot of times with children.

She was very knowledgeable of the techniques in making the wisk brooms. They can be used for very small tasks and are decorative. There were 2 that were hot and 2 cold. We had BLT, Queso, Artichoke and cheesecake caramel. We were able to try all of them at the end of the class. All were very tasty. Yes, it is smaller than other more ostentatious branches.. Yes, it doesn't have EVERY book you could conceivably want/need (but they will help you order it).. My greatest compliment I could offer is the knowledge and helpfulness of the library staff. For instance, today while returning books from Ramsey County as well as Hennepin County, the friendly/approachable female librarian explained how the return of other library loans work (thank you!). Thank you to the unnamed librarian today at St. Anthony (your name should be Marian)! One note that I didn't know: Currently, there is no charge to fax materials from the library (see photo).

I really like the place and am glad they got rid of the cold war bunker they had previously. It is…read morelight and airy and has a good selection of seating. The Wi-Fi works well and they seem to have plenty of computers. In addition, you can often obtain free copying and faxing. You will only find out what services are available if you ask. You will only find out what access to materials you have until you ask. It is not up to to the staff to provide you with all your solutions, sometimes you just have to dig. Tips: If the south wall is too bright, ask staff to lower the blinds--easy enough for them to do. Use the reserve system--you can get any book in the system. If you find something unacceptable, say something. I once found a homeless individual washing up in our male latrine and alerted security forthwith. It was delt with immediately. All in all--a great library. Anyone in our community should not hesitate to visit this spectacular resource.

One of my favorite Hennepin county library branches because of the wonderful kids library/section…read more The kids library section has an exploration station that changes out quarterly for kids to explore and learn. There are also comfy couches for reading and toys to play with. There is a wonderful childrens librarian who coordinates story time and other age appropriate activities. Two things to note: 1) getting in and out of the parking lot is sometimes hard going east on broadway. 2) this branch is closed on Sundays
