Excellent relatively small concert venue. Seats about 300. Table seating with food and drinks. Good sound, great service. Prices for food and drinks are incredibly inexpensive. Sort of makes up for the really high price of tickets. We had comp passes, but regular price for the show was $75.00. Would definitely go back for other shows. read more

This was our first time here. We actually booked tickets for the band. Honest lee, Soul. We haven't seen this band for nearly a year. Which is way too long. It seems that every time they were performing, we were traveling. We finally settled down long enough to see them. They really have you moving to the beat! We ate in the restaurant next door. Prior to our arrival time. Our server came over just a few minutes later. We purchased our drinks. We didn't purchase any food but had two drinks each. While enjoying the band. Which I really love. You should check them out. Seating is by table and chairs. We were seated at a table for four. Just keep in mind that if you don't have a party of four at your table. You will be seated with others. The seats are very close together. So be prepared to get up close and personal. They do have a nearby garage for parking, which was very reasonable for three hours. It was around $12. They also have the tavern, which is attached to this establishment, so we didn't have to go outside to re-enter. The band performance was amazing. This was the perfect date night for me and the hubby. We definitely plan on returning. If you make reservations Prior to your concert event for the Tavern. You will receive 10% off. Came here with friends for a drag brunch. The venue is cool but the seating is very cramped and tight with a full house but you can see everything very close. Be aware that some seating has obstructed views with poles in the way. Staff was very nice and had no complaints with that. Food was a complete miss. My group ordered the crab dip, chicken ceasar salad and waffles. The food came out on paper plates as if we were at a family cookout (nothing wrong with that but for a restaurant just expected a little better) and you could make better food at home and the portions were beyond small. My husband and I went to our first concert at Rams Head On Stage this past week and had a great time! The venue is small and intimate. Probably not a bad seat in the house since it's a seated venue (you choose your seats when you buy your tickets). I was a little confused when buying our tickets because the seats are sort of in an L around the stage, and I wasn't sure which area would have the best views. Where we sat ended up being to the side of the stage. The artist kept us engaged, but we definitely weren't facing the stage necessarily. Still, pretty good seats with a cool view I haven't had at most concerts. They offer table service (alcohol and food). The food was just okay (we had a crab quesadilla that I wouldn't order again), but it was nice to have table service for drinks during the conference. And the service was great (very friendly and helpful). The concert was tons of fun, maybe especially because it's such an intimate space for a concert. Also appreciated that there are parking garages nearby, very short walk over to the venue from parking. Overall, we had a great time. I'd happily return for another concert. read more

Saw the Phil Collins Experience tonight. Good show. We really enjoyed it. A couple of suggestions: 1) get there when the doors open; or pregame! you will be in the grave before you see a server if you show up less than 30 minutes before start. We got a ride there because we had planned to drink. We got 2 drinks each... we could have driven after all. 2) the maps do not correctly show obstructed view seats. The number of support poles in this small venue guarantees that if you aren't paying twice the price for your seats, it's an obstructed view. Lesson learned. I've been here a couple of times now and each time, the show is always amazing. The sound system is very good; instruments are crisp and microphones ensure notes are clear. I love the intimacy of smaller venues like this and the way that the artists can easily interact with the crowd. Most recently, I saw Daley. The seats were great, albeit crowded. We went to see my brothers band, Crowded Streets, on Saturday. This was our first visit to this location (I've been to the Baltimore location). It's a nice, clean venue and the staff is really kind. I really, really hated the COVID restrictions and the requirement to stay seated at all times because we had 3 tables of people and I wanted to be able to hop around. But I can't fault the venue for that. It is what it is. I ordered the Brussel sprouts appetizer. It was really good. My husband had crap dip. It looked good but I didn't try any. Here's the deal with the RHOS. Don't get drinks with the big deal. They are weak. You cannot dance there. They have great bands but they certainly don't cater to the customer. Love the close vibe but they suck as far as pleasing customers. I'm disappointed with the Patrice Rushen show. Cannot dance. The vibe has changed. Not a happy camper. I guess they have so much business they don't need their loyal customers to be happy. SAD. read more

The show was really good and although crowded I love the small venue. The service is never great but last Saturday night (6 Jan) it was awful. My group went to see a show. We were in our seat just before 8:00 and shortly after the server took our drink order. After the table whose order she took after ours was served we flagged her down at 8:30 to say that we had been waiting quite a while for our drinks she said "no you haven't!" When my friend said yes, we have, we ordered at 8:00. She then proceded to tell us that we hadn't been waiting that long and that the drinks were at the bar and that she can only carry so many at a time. This was not a matter of her taking the brunt for the kitchen staff or bar tenders being behind, she was just extremely rude. I love intimate venues and this fits the bill. I love that you could also select your seats (not first come, first serve.) I saw Avery Sunshine here. It was my first time at the venue and my first time seeing her. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The music sounded and felt so good! Beware, it can be a bit more intimate than you expect as I could smell breath from the patron singing behind me. I didn't order food or drink, but the overall ambience was so awesome, it wouldn't matter to me about either of those things. Parking is limited, but not scarce. I had an amazing time here Saturday, seeing my girl K. Michelle! It really is a nice, cozy, intimate vibe for a up close and personal show with an incredible artist. I loved it! The sound and acoustics were great. I loved the bar and drinks. I would recommend the cream of crab soup and crab quesadillas. Great Drinks, Great Food, Great Show and a Great Time. The only critique is the spacing between tables, it can get a little tight and stuffy in the room. But to be that close and intimate with the artists you love, you can not beat that. Last night I went to see Black Sabbitch and the band were amazing. My issue is not with the band but with the servers. This is the second time one of the server staff have effectively over tipped themselves at my expense. Last evening I had 2 Copperheads that cost $14.16 with tax. I gave the server a 25% tip which I think is generous for getting me two drinks. However, when I looked at the charges on my credit card this morning the 2 drinks actually cost me $21.14. Just letting patrons of this establishment know that the servers Are light fingered with your cc. Needless to say next time I will bring cash so the server gets the appropriate tip amount and I get what I paid for. read more

This place is great to see artists in a very intimate setting under the proviso that you're not on the left of the state. We saw Aimee Mann there last night and the concert was wonderful. Sound was perfect, we were with 20 feet of the band & they brought drinks straight to your table. It reminded me of working mans clubs back in the UK. Where you're free to eat, drink and watch the act. But if you're to the left of the stage you'll only get to see the side of the performers. Aimee even said she felt sorry for those sat at those tables. And there are a lot of tables to the left. Choose your tickets wisely and you'll be happy. read more

We attended a concert here last night for the first time. It is a nice, smaller venue, and very accessible in terms of traffic and parking, unlike most DC or Baltimore concerts. Tickets are quite reasonable for most of the events. We went to see Leo Kottke, so it was an older crowd that remembers him from his career spanning a number of decades. You pick your table online when you purchase tickets. We were at Table 406, seats 2 and 4. I purposely chose to be on the slightly raised platform in the rear by the wall. However, there are some support pillars in the room, so this was a partially obstructed view from one of our seats. No biggie, but not perfect. You may well end up sharing a table with folks you don't know (unless you are a party of 4 or 6). However, people are friendly and we had a good time. They have a shorter menu in the music venue, but you can also eat on the tavern side before the show and enjoy the full menu. We tried the cream of crab soup (ok, with a generous amount of crab but a very thick base). I had the chicken Cesar wrap and my hubby had a turkey panini. Both were tasty and they came with chips. The beer we enjoyed was a Fordham; they had a couple of choices, including an IPA and a lighter German style. So you should definitely go, eat, drink, listen, and be merry! read more

We went here for a friends birthday brunch and we sat outside. It was a beautiful day and the outdoor dining was perfect! The food was great and so was the drinks! We received great service from the waitstaff and really enjoyed our brunch! I would definitely recommend this place! Covid Central!! The seats were very close together and the floor plan did not provide good visibility. Lala Hathaway was such a disappointment. Either the venue or the artist, not sure which was worse. Artist was not visible from the side, seat were too close for comfort. Lala only sung 3 of her hit songs and sampled other artists. Ok, this is intimate, a great a close venue to see your favorites. Worth it if you are a hard-core fan or just really want to enjoy an evening with live music. I've been to this venue many times and it never ceases to amaze me or disappoint. When buying tickets, make sure you are picking something in good seating, you will not be disappointed. It is awesome! From a food stand point, the food is the standard bar-type fare with no real surprises. Lots of beer, gear bar food, awesome music - what more could you want! This is my second time here- the first was a few years ago with my in-laws for a singer-songwriter and dinner. This time I won free tickets to "Ten Years After" and we pre-gamed next door at the tavern for a late happy hour. The show was great, the acoustics were good, the lighting was just right. My drink was very mehhh. Reminded me of college parties- I got the peach old fashioned, so maybe my hopes were just too high from the start. My drink arrived very quickly so I know they didn't make it the way I have seen old fashioned prepared before. Almost certainly a pre-made mixture. At least it was only $8ish dollars. My husband got the specialty cocktail- a lemonade honey jack Daniels concoction- and it was even ickier. I recommend sticking to beer here! The beer selection is very good. The sight lines are rough. There are poles that blocked our view of the stage from where we sat. The crowd is snobby so that takes the fun out of going there. You are packed in back to back in your seats which is uncomfortable. The staff is very nice and attentive but service is slow. More wait staff is needed. The sound is good and the acts booked are excellent. Despite that I definitely won't be back. read more

I came here to catch a Dave Davies solo show. The club is fairly intimate, with good sightlines and good acoustics (the acoustics are not as good as the Birchmere, however.). Wait service was very good, but we only ordered drinks, having eating in the restaurant before hand. You can run a tab for the evening. At the end of the show, they are expeditious about settling your check. If you have dinner in the restaurant, they will walk you in through a passageway into the nightclub. Talk about intimate...I was sitting literally less than 15 feet from the performer. My waiter told me we were at the "Manager's Table". At first I thought it would be hard to watch the show with the table being perpendicular to the stage, but I adjusted my seat without obstructing others and was good to go. The sound was great. Both the warm up act and the headliner, Duncan Sheik, gave excellent performances. The place was larger than I expected, but no one was seated in the back areas; everyone at this afternoon show had an excellent seat. The menu had a good amount of variety. I had a bowl of cream of crab soup which was good, but very thick. And I like my creamed soups to be thick, but this was overly thick with a fair amount of crab. Service was top notch. At a show you don't want service folks getting in your way. All the servers I saw (including mine) visited their tables just the right amount of times. I ended with a spiked hot chocolate. Annapolis isn't really that far to travel from DC to see a good show. Street parking is easy in the afternoon. read more

For live music, you really can't get any better than Rams Head. I've been there several times, and although have often had seats that weren't really close to the stage, I've never really had a bad seat. They have a wide range of acts from comedy performers to local artists to national recording stars, and ticket prices vary just as widely. Most performances are 21 & up, but some are "any age matinee" performances...just be sure to check before you buy ticketes for anyone under 21. Last night I was front and center for Kenny Wayne Shepherd, and although my ears are still ringing, it was the best show I've seen there yet! But I'm not here to review the act, so on to Rams Head. If you buy tickets to a show, you automatically get their "concert package", which gives you 10% off your dinner, discounted parking, and a free beer if you want to have dinner either before or after the show....reservations ARE required for this, so don't walk in expecting to get the discount. The box office is easily accessible, and with their online ticketing you can skip the box office altogether if you want to. Friendly staff escort you to your table, and the servers come around to get your order pretty quickly IF you're one of the earlier ones to be seated. But if you come close to show time, be prepared for a wait. They offer a limited menu of food but have a somewhat decent wine/beer list. The food is OK, nothing stellar, reasonably priced, but you don't really come to the On-Stage side for the food anyway. For this particular performance (which sold out for both nights), they added some extra seating which made things a bit more crowded than I would have liked. I also think they needed to ramp up their staffing knowing how busy they would be, as the servers were swamped and really unable to keep up well with the demand. They weren't able to check back to see if you needed anything, it was hard to get their attention when you did want them, and it took a long time for them to return with your order once the show got started. Not their fault....just not enough of them. But all in all, Rams Head is still one of my favorite places to go for live music, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice idea for date night, a girls night out, or even a solo evening for some great music. read more

Excellent place for a nice evening. I had won tickets thru yelp to see Eric Benet. This was my first time coming to this place so I didn't know what to expect. As soon as I entered box office was right to the right. Picking up tickets that were at will call was very easy. The asked to see my id and I was on my way. Nice seating. I was at table 201 great seat. The place seemed to be a perfect place for a first date. I would have given this place 5 stars but, I had to take away a star for the food because it simply was not the answer. I would suggest eating prior to seeing the show. The drink I had was just ok. There is almost no bad seat in the house. I've been here at least 6 times over the past few years. I'm just a Baltimore gal chasing good music and they do not disappoint. My one complaint is they seem to be crowding more chairs into the tables. Also at my last visit on 1/17/19, the waitstaff was horrible. Rams Head has driven away a repeat customer. We used to go four or five times a year. I'll tell you about it. I'll tell the performers I have relationships with. I'll write every performer I can recall that we have every seen at Rams Head. I'll tell anyone who will listen. The back office customer service is completely unacceptable. They booked and sold tickets for a group that had a schedule conflict. Fine. That doesn't look good for Rams Head but things happen. It is what came next that has made Rams Head a zero-star no-go venue in Annapolis. We bought tickets the day they were available. Two weeks later and five weeks before the show we get an email about the schedule conflict. Rams Head gave us another date six months out (SIX MONTHS!) and gave us only two weeks (TWO WEEKS!) to accept that date or take a credit. Not a refund. A credit. We told them that was not acceptable. My wife called. No movement. They called me at work (what's with that? They had talked to my wife!) and I asked them to call my wife and gave them her phone number (unaware on my part that she had already spoken with them). They called me back in five minutes. I told them to call my wife. They didn't. Who knows for sure in March what they will be doing in September? When my wife tells them what is acceptable and not why do they keep calling me? So Rams Head calls us two weeks after we pay for tickets and says we have two weeks to decide if we want to go to a show six months late or take a credit. What happened to "we're really sorry for the inconvenience we'll be happy to reschedule or refund your tickets including all service fees?" We met our obligations. What about Rams Head? Not so much. So now we are in the position of going back to our credit card company and making a big deal out of it which will take time and energy on our part when ultimately we will prevail - that part is easy if inconvenient. Rams Head customer service is completely unacceptable. They've lost a repeat customer and ticked off someone that will share this story. For Annapolis and neighboring folks we have lots of alternative venues including Maryland Hall, all the venues in Baltimore and DC and of course Birchmere. Rams Head is off the list. read more

My wife and I, along with a group of friends went to see T.J. Miller last night. The show was great but I can't say the same for the waitstaff or the management at Rams Head On Stage. Early on in the show, our server spilled a margarita down my entire left arm. This meant I sat there the whole time with a damp arm after using 5 napkins to try and dry off my clothes. At the end of the show my wife asked for some sort of small compensation for the incident. We weren't looking for our entire bill to be paid but possibly a small percentage. Maybe 10-20%? (not being sure what was acceptable) The server asked that we follow her to speak with her manager to explain the incident. After waiting 10 minutes and listening to our server talk about my wife and I to the other servers (she obviously didn't know we could hear her) the manager came over. He comes over, standing quite close to me, and asks "What's the problem?", as if it was something I did. After I explained what had happened the manager smiled and said the most he could do is pay for my dry cleaning. I followed up with a question asking "So I'm supposed to take my clothes to the dry cleaners, pay for it and then send you the bill with a note?" He replied with a simple "yes". I was wearing a brand new Adidas hoodie and I honestly didn't see a need to go that far to clean it or rectify the situation. A simple wash would probably do the trick, although I'm not the greatest at determining what it takes to get a margarita out of clothes. All I was asking for was some small compensation on the bill and he continued to deny my request. The entire time without the common courtesy to say "I'm sorry for the inconvenience"....not ONE TIME! Frustrated by the situation I walked away back to my party who was patiently waiting for my wife and I. I explained to them that dry cleaning was the only option and that I didn't feel it was completely necessary and overkill. I understand that businesses have rules for certain things but in the end I felt the way I was treated by Rams Head On Stage's management and their waitstaff was pretty terrible. To be honest I don't even care for the compensation....our bill was $40 so it would have been something like $4. That's not the point, I felt as I was being treated as the incident was my fault. Sadly this venue will most likely never see my money again. And I will make sure to pass the word along on of how they treat people. BTW....T.J. Miller was great! I highly suggest seeing him where ever you can! read more
