Went to see my favorite artist (Curren$y) 4/19/26 and compared to metro where I had seen him the past couple years ago this place felt much better. Not a flat even floor so you still have a good vantage point if you remain towards the back as it slopes down to the front. Place has been remodeled and seems spacious, sure it can get crowded depending on the show, just like anywhere else but I definitely recommend seeing shows here. I didn't drink too much but beers were about $13. They also have a diner that serves food and drink that they recently changed up again but haven't tried. Show was on Sunday so I found free street parking just by showing up early. Ramova has all recently been remodeled and open I'd say within the past handful of years at most. read more

I've been here for bingo AND for a double feature movie. This place is awesome! They hold bingo in the bar area and it's so much fun! For the double feature, I got tickets for the double feature and 2 drinks. I only stayed for one movie as I had work the next morning but the tickets were worth it. It's best to get there early if you're going for the movie because they have limited seating and tables but a lot of open space. If I go for another one of these events, I'd bring my own lawn chair to be more comfortable. They have bar food and drinks. The drinks we got were loaded lol and the wings were surprisingly good! It was a decent fall weather day and there were quite a few people out by the beer garden. If you want alcoholic drinks, you can get a wrist band from the staff outside. Once you pass the security check, there is a souvenir stand inside. There is a bar before the auditorium and folks were lined up for drinks. Drinks were $9-$12. The decoration inside the Auditorium was pretty cool. But there are very few seats, so expect to stand and cheer the whole performance. I was pleasantly surprised how much we LOVED the Ramova. I wish it wasn't so far away from us! We saw a show here on NYE. Clean venue, nice bathrooms! There is a spacious balcony - you pay a little extra for balcony tickets. There were some lounge chairs and benches upstairs. Tons of space to lean while you watch a show. Really friendly staff! There's a brewery attached with specialty beers and a rotating selection. Great venue all around! read more

I definitely see the potential here but it does need work. Giving 4 stars for the benefit of the doubt. This place seems like it will be an amazing venue for music if they can book some mid range names. I came for Brew & View Tarantino night and had a decent time. The AC is cranking! Which is probably fantastic if it was packed, but felt a little uncomfortable in a sundress with a small crowd. The seats are just folding chairs right now. Here's to hoping they will stick it out long enough to upgrade in the future. The sound for a movie was not fantastic, mostly because it's such a huge empty theater with not much to absorb the sound. I'm thinking music sound quality might be better with the acoustics. I do love that the tiered sections have ramps as well as a couple stairs. I think wheelchair access should be pretty manageable in any case. The bar area as well as every other area is incredibly spacious. This spot is aching for a big crowd. But it does feel a bit industrial and sparse with a smaller crowd. I really do hope they're able to find bangers to stay lucrative because the south side needs more cool venues. I've been to a few shows and events here since the reopening. I don't know what it looked like before but I really enjoy this place. The place is big without being too big and free water? I love it! The staff is super helpful and friendly. Parking is limited but they have a pay lot across the street. And paid parking on the streets. They have a bar with some craft cocktails and it's also attached to a cool lounge bar. Anyway, I can't wait to see what the Ramova has in store for us in the next year! read more

Ramova Theatre is an intimate type of concert venue. Was able to find free street parking a few blocks away. Getting through security was easy. They had 6 lanes open and I liked they had lines for people with and without bags. The hallway is slightly cramped for the merch booth once it feels up with people. We were able to see Jojo from where we were standing for GA floor. The have a balcony too if you prefer it. The bathrooms are cooed and they have bathrooms on multiple floors so you dont have to wait. The acoustics in the building were pretty good for a concert setting I enjoyed my time at this venue. read more

Fantastic venue. I loved the acoustics from the stage, & the fact that there was a taco pop up upstairs and shopping! What I will remember the most though was how kind, professional, and respect the security and staff was. I am not from Chicago and felt so safe and protected in every area of this larger venue. I also noticed that there were medics just in case any of the attendees needed something. Very smart forward and preventative thinking. I will be back to more shows here. 10/10 such a cool place. read more

Went to see a show here when they first opened. Scarface was the artist. Had balcony admission but was very disappointed. So your basically standing on a level deck, and if your not on the rail, you can't see. And I've never been called a short king, lol! Today I tried to buy tickets but their ticket agent or site kept bouncing me back to the start page . I was really hoping this venue would be much better because it's in my hood. I usually only give a place one chance to disappoint me, but I gave the Ramova two, which goes against my mantra of never making the same mistake twice. Oh well, on to the next one! read more

We've been to Ramova twice now. Once for the open house and again the following week for dinner and drinks. The theatre is really nice. A lot of beautiful details were restored. The acoustics were good and tiered floor is nice for standing and viewing the stage. I'm short, so appreciate the boost! The upper level views are also nice and close to the stage, so it felt quite intimate. I can't wait to see a concert here! We're super excited about the Other Half, a very reputable brewery and worth a trip Bridgeport! The brewery and restaurant/ diner operate in the same general area. Nice ambience, clean and simple, not too much in terms of decor. The brewery has almost exclusively wooden stool high tops, which makes it easy for people to stand and eat. However, I like regular tables, since I like to have my feet touch the ground when I can. It's a relatively good place for meet ups and easy for groups. You order food and drinks at the bar. The beer menu is almost all IPAs. They also have cocktails and a NA IPA beer. A lot of reviews complain about the price of beer. The beer prices seem to be different when there are events versus not. A PINT IS ONLY $8. During the open house they were $16, which is standard for concerts and shows. You can also get smaller pours and make yourself a little flight to try a few beers! I hope some of the other reviewers visit again on a regular night and consider editing their harsh reviews. We had the BLD (breakfast lunch and dinner) burger, turkey meatloaf, and a cup of chili with a mac n cheese ball. The BLD burger was excellent! I would get it every time. I loved the runny egg. The aoili and shredded lettuce kind of reminded me a Big Mac. The chili was also great, nice tomato flavor. The mac n cheese ball was fun and good texture too. The turkey meatloaf was too wet and was served room temp. They came with a side of mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts that were too salty. I wouldn't recommend it. The key lime pie was AMAZING. Nice smooth texture, not too tart or sweet. The crust was great. I hope it's frequently on rotation! There were several groups with kids. Servers were friendly. Everything seemed organized and was running smoothly. I'm excited to see the beer garden when the weather is nicer! It's definitely worth checking out! read more

The wait is finally over - the Ramova is open again! Since moving into Bridgeport several years back I was so excited when I first heard there was renovation going on. It's part theater and part grill & brewery. My wife and I stopped in here on a Saturday night and were greeted by friendly hosts who explained we could either choose a table or seat at the bar and order drinks & food from the bar. We opted for bar seating and had extremely friendly servers take care of us. The beers I ordered were good (Dank Ivy & Green City) and my wife enjoyed her NA G&T and Blackberry seltzer. We shared the pizza in a cup dip and each had the BLD burger - both were delicious! We both agreed that we'll have to add the restaurant into our local rotation and can't wait to catch a show to see the theater. Run, don't walk, to the Ramova! read more

Came in over the weekend with a group. We were just on brewery side, did not see the theater. Service was very friendly and large selection of draft beer available in 3 different sizes which is great so you can try more with smaller pours. Limited food menu but hopefully that changes as they get going but everyone like the Chili & corn dogs. Prices weren't bad on most items but $14 for a can of NA Mojito and a $16 sundae seemed a little off base. They definitely need some artwork on the inside. Nothing is on walls and our group all agreed it was a very cold & sterile vibe. read more

Went to the open house on 12/30. We were looking forward to it but after a short time left very disappointed. It's nice that the venue was rescued but the rehab left the space cold and sterile. And $14 for a two-sip cocktail and $16 for a pint of beer?! That's ridiculous, especially considering that the beer is brewed on site, no transport or distribution costs involved (& why are the majority of beers IPAs?). Seems like the developers brought in New York prices along with the brewery. And btw the chili is NOT the same as what the original diner served - see the recent Trib article for deets. Check out the Whiner Tap Room at The Plant for a better value and experience if you're not afraid of venturing into BOTY. Review of The Brewery / Diner: Stopped in last week on a weeknight at 4pm and although it was fairly busy, was able to snag an open table immediately. The interior is modern though a bit stark. Cool they have glass all behind the bar that overlooks the brew tanks. The music they were playing was great - mostly Jazz - but not the tedious fast Jazz with a million notes and odd time signatures, actually enjoyable and more laid back. We ordered food and 5 beer samples. The beer menu is predominantly IPAs currently but they also had a mexican lager, cider, and some cocktails that looked good. It is pretty awesome that Other Half has opened a spot in bridgeport - they are a very well-regarded brewery, originally based in New York and are best known for their world-class IPAs. The prices were what you would expect for an excellent brewery in the city, 8-9 bucks for a 16oz pour. Though I usually like to get just 12 oz or smaller samples so it is nice they have those options. I enjoyed pretty much of all of the beers and the "Chicken and Broccoli", "All Citra Everything", and "Space Diamonds" were my personal favorites of the night. Though I also had a west coast IPA "Hop'Deded" that was quite good as well. They do have select 4-packs of their beer available to-go. For food we got the meatloaf, chili, the burger, and a slice of key lime Pie. Overall the food was very good. Again, prices were about what you would expect for an gastropub-type menu that has been curated by the folks behind the excellent "Duck Inn" down the road. The Chili was quite good, very tomatoe-y and actually had a pretty decent kick which was nice. The burger was great, enjoyed the hashbrowns on it and fondue-ish cheese. Good bun too. The meatloaf was kinda disappointing - the mashed potatoes were overly salted IMO. The brussel sprouts were prepared very well though - tender and a nice roast. The Key Lime Pie was the best I've ever had. Overall, great brewery, great food, will be back! Review of the Theater: Stopped in for the community event before the official open to check out the venue. There was a DJ on stage and they had the lights going and we could explore the space, get some pours of the beer/cocktails etc. Pretty big space. Nice tiered standing area which will be great for the audience. Definitely clean, new space but the charm of the old space has been retained I imagine. Excited to see the acts that will come through here and will be stoked to be able to have excellent beer from Other Half while enjoying a show. read more

We attended one of the open houses and had a meal there beforehand. The food was great and reasonably priced. Still working out some kinks in regards to service which is to be expected in what was essentially a soft opening. The beer was also tasty. I've had Other Half in Brooklyn and they make great beer. I do think their biggest miss was pricing. Even for an event venue and even for a quality brewer the prices were steep. I probably wouldn't have thought twice about a $12 pint but $16 is pretty crazy and unlikely to draw the neighborhood crowd. The Theater looks awesome can't wait to see a show there and am especially excited for warmer weather and the beer garden though I hope prices for beer become more reasonable. Love the Ramova, my family has been in the neighborhood for 4 generations love how they restored the 1920s venue back to its glory days, we went here for open house and New years Eve. The food and drink was delicious; however, beer should not be $16 dollars especially on the southside. I could understand if we were up north but we are not. On new years eve we did VIP which was great; however, for the price we paid there was no tables to put our drinks on and no chairs. It was also unclear what was included in the VIP package besides the balcony and private bar. I understand it was their first day, but the organization overall was not good. I will give them a pass because it was their first day but please be more organized with big events like this and have more tables and chairs for VIP guests. Will be coming back hoping that it is better and more organized. read more
