Of course when I picked it up it was quoted well over that initial quote, almost $2,000 more. The price quoted was to include the manifold, I was told it wasn't. But the owner agreed to order the part and replace in for free due to the confusion. Been waiting several months and she claims the part is on back order. So the manifold is still not repaired. I've text and called, no response. The job took much longer than the owner originally said. Truck engine light did not go off after repair. I'm truly thinking her to small claims court.

This is a total ZERO Stars business. I had an absolutely bad experience when dealing with the…read morecurrent owner, Erica Zarbock (Sepulveda). She is using the goodwill of the Zarbock name and that of the original owner as a license to steal. I took in a truck for what was to be a timing chain replacement. Things started to go south when Erica failed to provide either a verbal or written estimate for repairs. She always dodged my requests for it. Then one day, she called to say that my truck was ready and gave me a cost of $4500 over the phone. When I picked up the truck from the shop, she presented an invoice on which I negotiated a small discount. The next day, I took the truck for a test drive. It did not travel more than 15 miles, and the engine lost power. I returned the truck to the shop, where it remained for several weeks. She was full of excuses for the lengthy delays in completing the repairs. The short of it is that I later discovered they replaced parts that I had not requested and charged for work not done. I took her to small claims court and was awarded only a partial judgment despite the testimony of a previous plaintiff who also testified to being defrauded and my overwhelming evidence of her deceptive practices and fraud. I also discovered that Erica and her business have been sued numerous times, where other plaintiffs have prevailed and never collected on their judgements. I presented this fact in court, and she outright denied it all, and then said that no one can make her pay. So, for whatever it's worth, next time you need car repairs, DO NOT go to Zarbock's Automotive and Transmission. Do your research and due diligence by checking court records, Yelp consumer reviews, or good old-fashioned, word-of-mouth referrals. So, a huge warning to unsuspecting customers Beware! Save yourself or a loved one the anguish and do not do business with this person.

Mickey is by far the most honest person you will ever meet and associate with. Not everything goes perfect as planned. Parts are made by man. Not every part bought for rebuilds are perfect. There are tons of moving parts in a automatic transmission even a manual transmission. However automatic transmissions rely on fluid pressure to make things go vroom. I am very willing to be if you take your car back for a problem they fixed he will be more than happy to make sure you are taken great care of. Mickey is a hard to catch guy when it comes to "phone calls" that's what secretaries are for. But you can catch him there most of the the time and he won't dodge you. Lot of shiesty places out there. Mickey's is by far the most affordable and smart technicians in the field. Never seen anything the man can't fix or figure out. The man will pull an entire dash board out of a vehicle find the broken wire solder and heat shrink it wrap it up like it came from the factory and have no left over bolts. Mickey stays late and will work all night if it means getting a big job done for people like travelers that just want to get back on the road.
