Dr. Ramer was an integral part to the treatment of my baby who was born with a severe case of torticollis. Not once did she ever crack bones or do anything I was uncomfortable with. Dr Ramer is very gentle and effective, you can feel the benefits in just one to three sessions. She uses a combination of adjustments, ultrasound and laser to reactivate blood circulation in areas that were neglected and facilitate healing. Most chiropractors are like puppy mills. They want to move as many in and out as possible. Not the case here. This is a small practice and she takes the time to get to know you. What's also rare is that she puts together a program to try to permanently fix you instead of keeping you reliant on adjustments forever. When I searched for a new chiropractor I didn't want someone with 20 yrs of experience because they'll be using 20 yr techniques and the science of chiropractic has improved a lot since then. I felt awful after seeing her. Let me explain. All she does is hit points on your body very hard with a machine thing, which triggers endorphins. So yeah, I had an endorphin high when I left. The next day, I was covered in bruises, and my alignment felt awful. I called her up to see what she thought - she said I should see her 4 days a week for four months!! Charging over $200 per visit. I was like, "um... that's more than my salary." This point did not phase her. I'm always leery of chiropractors who want you for that many visits - but usually you at least feel better the next day. read more

Dr. Ramer is THE BEST!! I have been seeing her as needed for about a year now. She helped me with lower/mid back issues and a recent neck injury. We were referred to Dr. Ramer by a member of our daughter's track & field team to help treat her runners knee that had been plaguing her on and off for the last two years. Our daughter is only 9 yrs old so I was fairly skeptical about whether chiropractic work would be necessary or helpful - I am incredibly happy to say that I was very wrong. Dr. Ramer is the gold standard other chiropractors should strive to be. She is NOT your run-of-the-mill "cracker" like most chiro's are--You couldn't pay me to go to anyone else, now that I know better. Dr. R is incredibly knowledgeable, intuitive, and has used only the most gentle methods to produce optimal results for me and my children. She absolutely saved me from sudden, excruciating back pain when I first called her on a Friday evening and has continued to patiently work on my issues--relieving me from chronic aches that have bothered me for years. Not only are her hands magic, she also uses these new-fangled apparatuses that I don't understand, but have come to love. Very important note for PARENTS! Dr. R has made me realize how incredibly beneficial PEDIATRIC chiropractic care can be for kids and even babies. Dr. Pamela Ramer is great! Started seeing her after a car accident over a year ago. Her cranial sacral work was amazing. Unrelated to the accident I have torn cartilage in my hip... She uses a laser treatment that has provided such relief and healing. I was very skeptical at first, but I can't argue with the results. I was staying at the Fairmont hotel and googled for a close Chiro. I was suffering from a tight painful hip and also a pulled something under my shoulder blade causing much discomfort. I got out of practice of visiting a chiropractor when I moved to LA. After over a year without going I was really in pain. I'm very happy that I found Dr. Ramer when I did. I have scoliosis and have regular back and neck pain. Dr. Ramer does not "crack" your back or use jerking movements. She's very kind and wants you to feel better in any way that she can assist you. I mentioned one day that I thought I was coming down with a cold and she gave me some supplements. I really don't believe in supplements but she told me to give them a try so I did and it worked! I can't speak highly enough about Dr. Ramer. Her techniques are truly state of the art! I have seen various chiropractors over the years for jaw, back and neck pain. The adjustments that involved cracking and abrupt movements didn't resonate with me and didn't seem to be resolving the pain. Dr. Ramer's gentle adjustments and use of ultrasounds and lasers has much more effectively dealt with my problems. Dr Ramer got rid of my pain after 2 weeks. I have been using use gentle chiropractics since 2004. Either the Activator Method or the Impulse Method. I hurt my back again while in Santa Monica recently and I went on the goimpulse.com website to find a chiropractor. I have degenerative disc disease or a herniated disk in my L5-S1 (lumbar region) and for a whole year went to physical therapy and tried different chiropractors without much success. I was in so much pain from my sciatic nerve that I could barely sleep and couldn't sit. I couldn't even make it through traffic without limping my way out of a car or a movie theater. I visited three different doctors who all recommended that I have surgery. I was interviewing doctors to have surgery when as a last resort, I discovered Dr. Ramer's business card at the local coffeshop nearby. I had been in so much pain and driving all the way to Newport Beach just to see another chiropractor who didn't seem to be helping my back pain much, that I thought I would give Dr. Ramer a try. I went to Dr. Ramer for about two years back in 2007-2008. I remember walking into her office in tears and asking for help. She told me to give her three visits to see results. By the second/third visit, I was able to feel normal again (after a whole year of being in so much pain). I had tried everything! I even had my own Teeter Inversion Table at home. I had a bad experience with the previous chiropractor I used before seeing Dr. Ramer. I was diagnosed with severe degenerative spinal stenosis. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Ramer. As a former professional ballet dancer, I have suffered from back and hip pain as long as I can remember. In the past it was somewhat manageable with several chiropractic visits and LOTS of pain medication. However, when I got pregnant nothing helped! I even received 2 cortisone shots. I've been to many (and by many I mean a lot!) of chiropractors over the last 15 years and Dr. Ramer is one of the best. She is very thorough and will give you as much information as you want - just ask! Most chiropractors rush you through the adjustment/therapy process without explaining what they are doing or why but that's not the case with Dr. Ramer. I have been going to Dr Ramar for almost 5 years and she is amazing! She is flexible with her time and always greets you with a friendly smile. She does not crack you like most chiro's but instead uses a knocking type machine, ultra sound and laser (for deeper tissue penetration).
