The project overall took a long time since once we removed the old stucco there were lot of little changes that we had to contract separately, but the stucco part was done very fast. Ramales Plastering recently restuccoed our termite-damaged wall. We were initially a bit nervous because this was our first renovation in a long time. Ramales Plastering did a fantastic job on our house. This is a late review because we wanted to ensure the quality of their work over time. Last year, heavy rain caused severe water leaks into the drywall from exterior walls. In August 2024, they rebuilt a couple of exterior walls. After this year's rainy season, we confirmed that no water had seeped in--proof of their excellent workmanship. First, their pricing is very reasonable. Second, they are highly responsible and professional. They worked diligently, communicated clearly, and kept us informed about each step of the process. I highly recommend this company! They are the most detailed oriented team we've ever work with. They are professional, courteous, extremely caring to customers' needs, and most importantly, they are highly knowledgeable with what they do. Our house used to have two different colors and textures of exterior walls. The walls facing the street, and one of the two side-yard walls have been redone by the previous owner with stucco. The other two sides which were original walls had been severely damaged due to the pool's sweeper water, weather, termite, factors related to old age (half a century home), and possibly poor workmanship. As we decided to fill our backyard pool to make the yard usable all year round, we also wanted to fix the damaged walls to make them uniformed with the other two sides done by the previous owner. After interviewing four Yelp companies with five star ratings, we decided to put our bet on Ramales Plastering, because they are the most dedicated and courteous team we've ever met. They provided us with an address of site they were working on, which made us even more confident on their fine workmanship. The home owner happened to be on site, and they also highly praise Mr. Jose Ramales's team and their beautiful workmanship. And of course, after they finished our house, we feel exactly the same and are very grateful we put our trusts in them. They satisfied both myself and my husband in every aspect, and FYI we are very picky homeowners with extreme attention to detail. We highly recommend the husband-wife team of Ramales Plastering. They are highly professional, courteous, price competitive and excellent workmanship. We had a water leak from a window. After going through numerous consultations with different window outfits, finally we decided to replace the window (even though it was highly unlikely that the window itself was problematic - most likely the water was getting inside the stucco somewhere around the window, though it was impossible to tell visually). The window company came and replaced the window (new construction window - so the stucco around the window had to be demo'ed). Once the stucco was demo'ed, we could see evidence of water, but it wasn't getting in around the window. So now more stucco had to be demo'ed above the window, till we find where the water is getting in. We called various plastering companies. Ramales gave us the most confidence that they know what they are doing. She clearly explained the open ended nature of the problem, few different spots where water could be getting inside stucco and the building paper, and gave us a quote that was the most competitive. Once the work started, they were always on time, finished each day on time and cleaned up the work area before leaving. Always let us know when they will be coming next (so that we're not left hanging and wondering when work will resume). Once the source of the leak was found (it was the expansion joint between the floors), they patched it up thoroughly as per code, and painted the area as well (we supplied the paint). They had to demo more area than originally quoted for. They explained the need to demo more, gave a very reasonable revised quote. With all the heavy rains this winter, water has stayed out. The stucco was falling off the side of our house. We called for quotes from various contractors. Ramales Plastering was the only contractor that said that I should find out WHY the stucco was falling off, rather than just fixing the exterior of the house. Luckily I followed their advice. I had to spend more money on a minor roofing problem, which could have become a major problem after another season of rain! I gladly called the company back for an updated quote and subsequently hired them to fix the stucco. These guys are local, family owned, and are the nicest people!
