The family room we got has one full size bed and a pull out couch. It's large with a separate dressing area, desk, television, and the bathroom is nice as well. There's free WiFi too! There's a bar downstairs and breakfast is included with your stay. The staff has been friendly so far. We're close to spuds, bars, etc and we have a cool view

This pub was what all pubs that serve food should be like. There were 8 of us for dinner (definitely book) and went on Pie Night, there were a selection of 7-8 pies all covering different tastes. Some ordered from the menu and some of the special pie board. When the meals came we all have a large serving of pie or main along with a Yorkshire Pudding, then came the sides ..... beef dripping chips, creamy mash potato, cauliflower cheese, broccoli and carrots. Then came the gravy..... not just a packet gravy but real meat gravy. The food was delicious and plenty of it and with great service too. We were all completely stuffed and weren't going to have a desert until we saw the menu and then we all had something for that too. I can't recommend this place enough and I will certainly be going back!

Didn't try the desserts but they sounded wonderful. Besides sunday lunch they serve comfort foods like home made stew 4pm to 8pm sundays.

Went in on quiz night (Thursday). 50p for quiz and food (fishcakes, chips and baked beans) was laid on afterwards. Excellent. Landlord is (at time of review) a larger than life character. Think along the lines of Al Murray and you wont be far off.
