We had to change hotels from across the street and this was the best decision we made. It's an older hotel but rooms are clean, spacious and don't have a smell or damp feeling like the one we had to move from across the street. No longer the Ramada by Wyndham. Now called Everspring. They are remodeling the hotel so it has this abandoned and run down feeling to it. The restaurant was closed. Breakfast was yogurt and a fruit cup. No coffee or toast. Pool was closed. Felt it was over priced for all the amenities not available. read more

Extremely limited options for breakfast, no coffee in the lobby for hours. The pool area had a birthday party and a group of people that completely took over the ENITIRE pool area for 8 hours (until pool closed down) making it very uncomfortable for other guests to want or able to swim. read more

I absolutely love this hotel staff. They are right on anything I need. My iron was leaking and they were at my door with a new one under 2 minutes. The breakfast is so good, best eggs I've had in a hotel. Housekeepers are so sweet and efficient. Manager is the bomb, knew what we're going through and got us in right away. Can't say enough about the awesome maintenance crew. Beautiful pool and hot tub. Nice play area for the kids, corn hole, ping pong, giant connect 4. I would definitely recommend this hotel the restaurant and bar are a bonus. read more

The hotel is non-smoking but my room smelled like someone had smoked Marlboro reds for 45 years in there. Hotel is pretty clean. Pretty old. Girl at the front was nice. They get away with charging a ton of money for a disgusting room because there isn't much competition. If anything of any caliber opened up and was new they would do very well in this area. The hotel was 100% booked when I inquired about a different room. read more

If i could rate it zero i would. Looking for a clean place to relax this is not it. Needs to be remodeled or shut down. Can hear everything through the walls. Comforter was a flower spread that looked like it was from the 80's i checked in one night and checked out the next. I recommend the sleep inn in this town! read more

Decent hotel but way overpriced. You could probably find a cheaper room in downtown Minneapolis. Its pretty easy to get to as its right off HWY 19 and 23 pretty much right across the road from SMSU. The rooms themselves were fine. They were clean and the beds were comfortable. Ours even came with a mini fridge which was a huge plus. The pool was decent size and there was a rather large hot tub as well. There is a restaurant and a ballroom attached for weddings and other events. There is a free continental breakfast buffet offered until 10am but there was no bacon on it! read more

Absolutely NO soundproofing on door so you can hear everything in the hall. Needs a remodel very badly.

I can't believe how much they charge here for a night when it's not even a populated town. If it wasn't for my friend getting married, I wouldn't come here. Their free breakfast tastes horrible, it's like microwaved food pretty much with 0% nutrients. At least the beds were clean... read more

Looking for a clean place to rest with my family. THIS IS NOT IT!!!!!! Avoid if you can. I called in for vacancy the front desk guy sells it good! The room smelled, carpet was dirty. There was rust and webs once you opened the curtains. Front desk claimed there was no more rooms available! Pillows and bedding had a smell of BO if it wasn't because we carried some blankets and pillows on don't know what we would of done!!!! Staff was rude and unwilling to help. Came to town to visit family. First time in Marshall. I'm not sure who chose this hotel but if I would have done some research, I definitely would have gone somewhere else. It's very outdated, although this is a small town, it could still use some fixing up. The room was not very clean. You can tell they don't really give the rooms a real cleaning ever. Really dusty, the floor in the bathroom could use a good mopping. The toilets were pretty gross. The inside of the coffee maker was super dusty. So no making coffee for me. Our first night I realized the heater in our room didn't work. We are from AZ, and it's cold here. They did offer us the room next store after my hubby complained, which was nice. But after going into the other room, we decided to stay in the cold room. The new room smelled like B.O (body oder) and cigarettes. I have 2 kids so no thank you. They sent a guy to look at the heater the next day that had no idea what he was doing..... day 3 here, still no heat in our room. Thank God we go home tomorrow! This morning shortly after my 14 year old daughter finished getting dressed, a couple men came in our room! No knocking, no nothing. I screamed at them of course and slammed the door in their face, they said they were told no one was in this room. I called the front desk and the guy said they should have knocked and apologized for it. If they would have barged in a minute sooner, my 14 year old daughter would have been seen undressed by them. I couldn't believe it...that was pretty much the last straw with this place. Everything aside, the restaurant/bar they have here isn't bad. That's the reason I have this place 2 stars. Entering this hotel felt like a trip back in time to the 80s. It was rather dark and not very up to date. The staff was nice and even offered me a comp at the attached restaurant when there was simple mistake during the check-in process. The rooms really need an update! I feel like I am staying at my Grandma's house in the 80s.. The carpet is an ugly brown, the art is grandma like, and the wallpaper is separating from the walls. The attached restaurant, Shays, has nice attentive staff. While I realize the hotel cannot choose its patrons, the bar was full of construction men. They were pretty loud, obnoxious, and spoke inappropriately. It's a small-town bar and to be expected, but not something I enjoy listening to while I eat. read more

Stayed in a room here with my family on a short visit to Marshall. I can now understand why they were the last hotel in Marshall with availability this particular weekend. Rooms and hotel in general were very outdated and dirty. When we walked into our room, it was obvious the counter right by the door hadn't even been wiped down, as it was covered in hair strands and dust. The bathroom was no better. It didn't take us long to find the service wasn't any better than the cleaning. When I called the front desk to ask for an extra blanket and pillow, the employee acted like this was a very strange request and said that he would see if the hotel had any extras. Not sure why there wouldn't be extra blankets and pillows in a hotel, but after some time, they were able to find one of each for us. The hotel does have a large, free breakfast, but my family and I found everything to be very bland and disappointing. If it weren't for the lack of cleanliness, high price, and need for updates, it could be a possibility, but I would suggest looking elsewhere. read more
