The beginning process started off so great. Ian was knowledgeable and helpful and had a great show…read moreroom that showed us a bunch of options. We enjoyed working with him so much we also used him to source our appliances and quartz countertop and pulled the job from our other suppliers. Everything came in within a reasonable amount of time and the installation was ready to begin. The team came every day and on time, and they were about a 7 on the neatness scale. Everything was ready to be installed, and There is where the issues started. I had replaced an existing island with one that was much bigger and added a coffee bar with cabinets on one wall, and switched out the countertops and backsplash. The island went in first, and was installed not at all straight, they adjusted a few times and it still is slightly off, and the final answer I got was "your walls aren't straight so this is the best we can do". None of the cabinets are lined up properly still to this day, 9 months after the job was completed. The spacing between all cabinets are not consistent, the cabinets hit each other when being opened and closed. The double garbage track I believe needs to be totally replaced but was told "that's how the garbage cabinets come" The installation on the appliances were also terrible. I had to get a different contractor to come adjust my dishwasher, as I asked Ian's team 3x and it was not getting fixed. Ian's team never screwed the dishwasher into the cabinets so whenever it was opened and closed it would move. It was also not flush to the countertop. Ian has come back on 3 different occasions to try to align the cabinets and the last time he said "I have to call the manufacturer I'll get back to you" and haven't heard from him since, over a month ago. I am now looking into another cabinet company that will come and fix what was left here. I would feel comfortable ordering with Ian but never again use him for the installation.

My husband and I have had a nightmare of a time working with Gilles Clement. He is all about…read moreselling, selling, selling- and then did not care about the quality of the follow through. He took a $7,000 deposit from us for a chandelier and held it for OVER 2 YEARS- the manufacturer TOLD us he had not arranged to pay and pick it up. He was $5,000 over on our kitchen painting- then gave us a store credit- for his new store- as an apology. The store took over 2 years to open, has no price tags on anything, and he refuses to meet us there so we can collect on the credit. My wallpaper is lumpy, my "cat proof" carpet is a disaster. We would warn anyone who asked, about our experience with Gilles Clement.
