Service is excellent, servers are very attentive. The restaurant is on the corner, easy to get to. The restaurant has a counter for bakery items and coffee if you want to grab something quick. The food is consistently good, which is why I keep coming back. They're almost always busy, so I definitely recommend putting your name on the waitlist as soon as possible because the wait can get pretty long. My biggest complaint, though, is the service. Unfortunately, it's been an issue pretty much every time I've visited. The servers often seem a little disengaged, forget things we ask for, and take a long time to bring out food or other items. During my most recent visit, the table next to us had their food brought out before we had even placed our order, even though we had been seated first. It honestly felt like our server had forgotten about us completely. We shouldn't have to keep trying to get someone's attention just to place an order or get the things we need. I understand that restaurants get busy, but there's a difference between being busy and making your customers feel overlooked. It's frustrating because the food is genuinely so good, and the service doesn't match the quality of the experience. Overall, I still love this place and will probably keep coming back because the food is that good! I just really wish the service were more attentive, organized, and welcoming. With better service, this place would be even harder to beat.

I've been wanting their bagels for a while since I walked past their door every day. Bayou Bagel…read moredidn't disappoint me when I finally got a chance to try their bagels. The store has a cozy vibe, and it wasn't crowded when I walked in during lunchtime on a workday. So, it was easy to grab a table inside. The staff at the counter was super friendly. She gave me some recommendations when I asked as a first-timer (and don't know much about bagels, haha). I ordered the Prytania and Vietnamese iced coffee and enjoyed them both. The bagel sandwich was freshly made and filling. I would definitely come back and explore other options on their menu.

I guess I'm going through a New Orleans bagel touring phase, testing all things bagels here, trying to find ones similar to New York style bagels. The quality of their bagels were pretty decent and the service was fantastic but I really liked the variety of homemade cream cheeses. Never seen so many before. They also deliver their freshly made bagels to local grocers like Rouses, so if you can't make it in the store, visit your nearest supermarket. The space can be a little cramped but there wasn't a ton of folks in there so that made for a great visit. Otherwise, I would certainly recommend going there for a taste of varied bagels and cream cheese.
