Today I needed plantains and 6 plantains came out to almost $17.00. I looked at my receipt because I thought that's a terrible deal (I don't think I've ever looked before at how much plantains were) and seen that there was 2 charges for them for the same amount- I went back in a d weighed the plantains and they were just over 4lbs and they were 1.99 per pound so definitely a problem. I went to the cashier and they kindly refunded me the difference. I'm not sure how to rate this because they were kind, did the right thing, however I had to spend extra time and if I didn't catch the mistake then nothing would have been done. I'm certain I wouldn't have had someone call me or track me down fit the mistake.

The main reason I'm writing this review is to recognize one of the cashiers, Lhesley. I noticed right away how friendly she is! She has outstanding customer service and is always smiling. I've also noticed that she treats every customer with the same kindness, warmth, and genuine care. It's clear that making people feel welcome comes naturally to her. Kudos to Stater Bros. for having such an amazing employee! Lhesley truly goes above and beyond, and she makes every shopping trip a little brighter. I asked Lhesley for permission to take her picture to include with this review, and she graciously agreed.

Yet, when I do stop by, I'm reminded why I don't frequent this one. The parking lot is bad. Not that there aren't any spaces, but it's more so the fact that the parking spots are small. There are a lot of people who loiter here, making is uncomfortable to get in and out of the car. The aisles are smaller than other stater brothers and I find myself clashing with other patrons. The shelves are smaller and the floor doesn't shine brightly. In addition, the workers here don't seem to care for their customers as much as other stores that I've been to. The cashier seemed as though she didn't want to be there and I could barely squeeze out a hello from them. Although the prices and produce are lower in pricing, I don't feel inclined to buy my groceries here. I will continue to come when needed, but I don't think I will due to the service, location, parking, and situations.

The checker greeted me half heartedly but she's not rude, could be friendlier. I didn't visit any department besides the ice cream aisle but everything seemed copacetic. There was one long line when i started (about 8-10 people) and it took roughly 5 minutes for the other 2 check stands to open up, not bad. I like that your prices have gotten better compared to years ago when they were very high. I am hoping to make this my go to market. Anyhow, I hope the manager sees this because if this isn't fixed you'll lose a lot of business. I had a lot of trouble getting somebody to serve me at your meat department. I took a number and they still didn't assist me. I brought to their attention that they wee assisting people that were after me. I feel it's because I don't look like a Spanish speaker but I am. I showed them my number and they said they don't use the number system. She said people complain when they use the number system. I said well then they should take the number system away if they're not going to use it. She said they don't have any control over that so I hope the manager does. Please bring order to your meat dept. I did not see any sign of a manager at the store. If I had, I would have spoken to you about it. I'll update my review if I see a change in the future. Also- please note I went to your freezer section to look for shrimp but they were not properly organized and labeled with prices! So I didn't know what cost what. Fix this too if you want recurring customers.

The produce and hot food have always been good, but the customer service is a different story. The employees often seem unhappy rude and uninterested, which makes the shopping experience unpleasant. On top of that, the new self-checkout machines are not my favorite. I understand they're trying to cut labor costs, but it doesn't make things easier for customers--especially when there's only one cashier available and you're basically forced to use self-checkout. Last week, I used the self-checkout, and when I scanned my bolillo, the machine kept stopping. The cashier came over and began inspecting my bag like I had done something wrong. I then said, "I know how to count," because I felt that frustrated. Honestly, I've never felt so disrespected while shopping. If you're going to have self-checkout machines, don't treat your customers like they're doing something wrong. It really takes away from the overall experience.

It was my first time trying my luck at getting some. After driving from my work in El Segundo to my home in Alta Loma, I went into the Trader Joe's store, hoping to find more. Sadly, there were none left. So, I decided to ask the two gentlemen at the Service Desk area. When I asked one of them if there were any left, I was told they were sold out. I made a sad face and mentioned that it's difficult to get there early because I work full-time, and then I started to leave. A few moments later, Ray approached me and gave me the last two mini tote bags that he had been saving for himself. After hearing my story, he wanted me to have them instead. I was completely touched by his kindness and generosity. He didn't have to do that, but he chose to make someone else's day a little brighter. In today's world, it's rare to experience such genuine compassion and selflessness. Ray turned what I thought would be a disappointing shopping trip into one I'll always remember. Trader Joe's is fortunate to have an employee like him, and I hope he receives the recognition he deserves. Thank you, Ray, for your kindness. You made my day, and I'll never forget your thoughtful gesture!

Breaded deep fried shiitake mushroom caps. I love mushrooms so I thought this would be awesome! Well, I put them in the air fryer. There was so much oil that came out and dropped to the tray. And they were still greasy. I used up 10 paper towels soaking up all the excess oil.. Gross. Then I just tried these breaded cheese curds. They were tasteless!! Like low quality cheese with no flavor and the breading was like flower and egg, no seasoning at all. Completely tasteless!! I am curious about these current buyers for Trader Joe's. I have to assume they are no longer tasting what they purchase.

I visit this plaza often due to Sam's Club, but rarely drive in the plaza towards Kohls so I was surprised when my friend told me the other week. I needed to head to both Kohls and Sam's Club for errands and stopped by H Mart to grab a few items. I am spoiled by the H Mart in Diamond Bar (DB), so I was expecting something along the same lines but it was a bit different in this location. It is cleaner but some of the produce and fruit were not as fresh as the DB location. Also, there was an entire fridge aisle of alcohol drinks! That sure was a sight to see, since I do not ever recall seeing that in the DB location, or at least not that close to the entrance, let alone across from the produce and fruit. We did see a worker throwing out prepared food, so they must be clearing out already prepared food halfway through the day or something because we were surprised as it was still early afternoon. We do not recommend purchasing the prepped sweet potato here as they are dry and hard, not as fresh as the DB location. We were able to find what we needed and were on our way. The lines to the cashier are very short so it is convenient, as compared to the lines at the DB location, along with the always busy parking lot. This location is a bit smaller than others and also a bit pricier, probably due to the location. Overall, it is convenient if one is in the area and need a few items, but this would not be my main H Mart to shop at.
