Ralph's is my go to local grocery store, it meets all my basic needs. It's not mind blowing, but it does the trick for being a few miles from home. The selection here is descent, but the produce leaves a lot to be desired. I much prefer Sprouts for quality and selection for produce but it's too far away. Ralph's is good for basic shopping and staple items and they have some good gluten free eats as well. Prices aren't super great and it's not a place I do a big shopping trip since it is more expensive. It's always appropriately staffed and everyone is courteous. I went to your Ralphs on old Grove today and use the self check out. Like a numbskull I put the wrong phone number in so my Digital Coupons did not register. I did not notice until I got home, and when I returned the cashier, her name is Blanca recognized me And took care of my credit. I have had other encounters with Blanca and she is always so friendly and courteous. Another member who is always everywhere it seems is Jim I think he's a store manager he always knows where everything is and is friendly as can be. I will admit that I like a few aspects of this market. I prefer the produce here over the nearby Vons, Albertsons, and Stater Brothers. The produce section is well-stocked, there's a little section of Asian veggies, and it has a bigger organic section than Sprouts. Yea, I really just said that. They have a great alternative milk section in the cold case, including Silk Nut Milk with pea protein. They have a decent line of organic foods all around the store. The sushi is pretty darn good, and it's made on the spot. Oh and this store carries Chuao chocolate now! I don't shop alcohol, meat or seafood counters, bakery, flowers, the pharmacy... I skip most dry groceries, such as the breads and tortillas for the crap ingredient lists. Trader Joe's does that better. I don't care much for the deli; I don't trust the ingredient lists like I do at Frazier. If this place had bulk bins, I'd love it! P.S.- I don't know prices to compare. I just buy what looks fresh. After at least 6 weeks of notifying bakery dept. of the small flies in there self-serve, enclosed bakery box, they are still there. I told a bakery attendee again but was told to tell the manager. Okay, let me preface this review by saying that I wouldn't have thought about Yelping a grocery store until today! I just recently started to frequent this location due to a recent job change.So, let's break down why this place is so great! First, the place is always clean - I mean it not only looks good, but it smells good too! I've been in stores (Whole Foods and Trader Joe's) where this isn't always the case! But this location looks like a niche type grocery store and not necessarily a chain! My bank is inside the store - UBOC! This is very convenient for me! Usually, I see Wells Fargo, Chase, etc., but to have UBOC right there makes this place another star up! I went in today at lunch time to order a cake for a special work event tomorrow. Normally, there is a 24 hour time frame (I needed the cake tomorrow morning at 0900), but the bakery person who took my order was SUPER sweet (no pun intended)! She nailed what I needed and was pleasant about it, no attitude, no "well you're past the 24 hour cut off", just we'll take care of it for you! With a smile! Then I decided to get a sandwich. The deli lady was great. The lettuce didn't meet "her" standards, so she went back and brought out a whole new batch! It was great!! She was so personable and actually cared about what she was doing! Where to start. Very disappointed in this location. Whether your needed items are in stock is always a gamble. I purchase Kroger microwave popcorn, Abound canned dog food (beef grain free) and Gardien breakfast bowls each trip, or try too. They are out of all three when I went yesterday and had only 2 lines open with checkers. Took 25 minutes to check-out after 15 minutes of shopping. It gets worse. Today I decide to go back to see if the dog food is stocked and to get a sandwich. I wait in line at the deli for 20 minutes (I'm 3rd in line and 2 people are already being helped). The two people slicing meats and cheeses could not be slower, but it's cool I'll wait for my sandwich. I see Tonya return and think "yes"! I'll get a great sandwich today (she's the best). No luck she's stuck pulling chickens out of the oven. My turn, and the lady says " we aren't making sandwiches". WTF not I think, just watched you and your co-worker slice three packets of meat and cheese for the last 20 minutes. To shocked to retort with a smart-ass comment I leave to retrieve the dog food. But it's still out. See the manager hanging out and ask him how long the deli will be closed and it would be nice if maybe they put up a sign or something since you can't tell they aren't making sandwiches when standing in line watching people slic meat and cheese, which BTW goes in a sandwich! He replied " well with the holidays, staffing and COVID we aren't making them". I let him know a sign on the display case would be nice since I just wasted 30 minutes of my time waiting and driving down. Time to step it up Old Grove Ralphs. One of my favorite stores to shop in. Well kept clean and organized. Employees there are amazing. Especially Patty, she is a great help. She was very helpful when I was looking for a particular bottle of wine. Unfortunately the did not have it. Patty saved the day by recommending a bottle close to what I was looking for. I live 5 minutes away so this marketplace is very convenient for me to go to! The staff are super nice and helpful!!! I haven't came across anyone who is rude or not willing to help! Although two different times they forgot to put some merchandise in my bag so I make sure before I leave the parking lot if I have everything in my trunk. It is kind of a pain but you don't want to have to drive back to pick up whatever they forgot. read more

While the produce area seems smaller compared to others, I really enjoy coming here. I love the variety of milks, coffee creamers, and cold brew they have. I come here for the gluten free, dairy free, locally based, options. Their rewards system seems pretty decent too. Maybe not to the extend of Stater Bros, but I love the food choices available here. I shop here on a regular basis. Usually OK. Recently starting to see a decline in product availability and service. Today was one of those days. There was a sale on Jennie-O turkey burgers (front page sale item). I get to the meat area, no turkey burgers. The store manager was behind the meat case talking to a meat associate. He asks if I need help. I say I was looking for the sale item. He asks the clerk to go check. Clerk comes back and says "all out" and walks away. Manager goes to another customer. Well, crap. Ralph's completely missed an opportunity to right a wrong here... I purchased a pack of Field Roast brand veggie sausage, not realizing it was expired until after my husband, in agonizing pain, asked if the sausages were expired. I should have checked the label because this isn't the first time I've purchased something expired from this store. But at the same time, I don't expect to enter an establishment to do someone else's job. I went the following morning with the receipt, the package, and the two remaining sausages for a refund. As an experiment, I went to the vegetarian/vegan section first to check other expiration dates. I was completely appalled. The entire stock of the sausages I had purchased had expired on 9/2/18 (made purchase on 9/5), and One was expired as of 8/26. Their entire stock of Miyoko vegan cheese was expired as of 8/1, and most terrifyingly, the Field Roast brand little mini roasts had expired 7/29. I showed the results of my experiment to the manager on duty, Shirley, and she promptly settled my refund and assured me she would have her staff clear the remaining expired goods as well as talk with the vendor that stocks their veg meat section. She asked for my contact info so she could call me later that day (I went early, around 9:00am). I never received a phone call back. My husband was writhing in pain, and doing what you don't want to imagine in the bathroom most of the evening and well into the next morning. Im not looking for free groceries for a year or anything, but something a little more than my $4.79 back and an empty promise of a follow up call. If you're going to sell vegan and vegetarian items (which is great! please keep doing it!), have some plan in place so that YOU are checking dates. It's "Ralph's" on the store front that we see, and "Ralph's" on our receipts. Don't play this strange game of pass-the-buck-to-the-company-who-isn't-here to save face. And for eff's sake, own up! I had called the same night of the purchase and the gal who answered the phone (clearly not management) had the audacity to cite the large quantity of items in the store as a reason they don't clear out the expired stuff! Kind of terrifying. So, the moral here: if you go to this Ralph's, expect to do the important job of making sure the products THEY are selling to YOU aren't expired, and if you happen to miss one, don't expect much more than a refund and "sorry, not our fault" followed by empty promises. read more

I'm glad that I live close to this particular Ralphs location! Employees are attentive, aisles/produce are always stocked and the lines move pretty fast compared to other competitors. If you come in through the entrance to the left side you'll see a selection of sushi freshly made to buy. Pretty convenient if you're looking for a healthy lunch or snack. Overall, the store has a nice setup. It can get to be crowded during peak hours but not too crowded to where lines back up into aisles. read more

ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE I had an issue with fuel credits - a Ralph's offering. So, I called "Customer Service", a number at their website. The first representative I talked with was ok but denied my legitimate request. I asked for a supervisor. I talked to one who told me he'd do nothing about my request and told me that any coupon you use at Ralphs has to be downloaded to your account at the Ralph's Website. I'm sure this is not required every time you use a Ralph Coupon. I see hundreds at the cash register every time I go. Also, he gave me no respect and was more or less rude. So, my call frustrated me to the point that I thought I'd do a Yelp Review on their Customer Service. And, if this is read by Ralph's administrators, you gained so little by not helping a customer and got bad PR out of it. read more

Wish Ralph's had a better craft beer selection, but overall this is a quite adequate grocery with plenty of the core supplies. Their wine blends section is second to none, which is great for us "whinos". After 20 long years of exclusively going to Ralph's grocery stores I can't believe that they would charge $.50 for cashback. That just seems ridiculous. There are plenty other ways of making money in that store but to blatantly throw a $.50 surcharge for cashback is the most absurd thing I have ever seen in my entire life. I have always been a Ralphs girl, with Vons as the red headed step child. I was out of ralphs territory for about a year due to where we lived and it was tragic. I've just recently bought a house in Oceanside and my new Ralphs is Old Grove. Holy smokes is this store big. They carry a lot of products of every variety. I would be shocked if you can't find what you are looking for here. The store is well laid out, well stocked and nice, wide isles. As a bonus, the staff is friendly and plenty of parking.
