I usually enjoy stopping at Albertsons while waiting for my laundry to finish next door. It's convenient to browse the store, pick up a few items, and it's typically clean and well-stocked. Unfortunately, my experience this morning was disappointing. As I walked toward the registers, the cashier had her light on but didn't greet me or invite me over. Instead, when I went to the self-checkout, she immediately came over and stood right next to me, making me feel like I was being watched as if I were doing something wrong. It was uncomfortable and unnecessary. I hope this was just an isolated experience because I've always enjoyed shopping here. A simple greeting and treating customers with respect goes a long way. read more

TOXIC MOLD EVERYWHERE. Beware their mold all over this store. There is mold coming from the ceiling.There's mold in the bathrooms.There is mold in the dairy box.There is mold in the meat case.There's mold in the produce department. And don't get me started on everything that's out of code in the store, dirty moldy store. Best to keep it safe. Go down the street to the fully remodeled Stater Brother market. This is my go to grocery store, I go out of my way to come here because of the prices, atmosphere, etc. always have a good experience except for today. SONIA, who has an Albertsons name tag actively cut us in a long line and proceeded to cut the next line while they were in a rush. I politely pointed out that she cut us, while she proceeded to scurry to the next line to do the same. I don't mind waiting for a rush, I work customer service as well, but having employees act entitled is not okay. I don't support that. May look elsewhere. read more

The store in this review is on Mission, Oceanside, CA; I really hate when stores do this. Among other things I wanted today was simply a small roll of packing tape for a small UPS package. To my surprise, there were small rolls for $2.99. Once I got home, miles away, I discover the clerk charged me $11.99! I think stores (especially the WalMart stores) allow this to happen and turn a blind eye to this big costly nuisance to their customers, while their cash registers ring up up up believing many customers don't look closely at receipts. read more

I have to give a HUGE shoutout Tony and Elijah. My mother left her phone at Albertsons, and when I took her back to find it, Tony and Elijah stepped up and immediately helped. The managers said a phone hadn't been returned, but neglected to actually check the lost and found drawer. After ten minutes of Tony and Elijah helping us search, Elijah finally asked for the keys to the lost and found and lo and behold, there it was! Thank you gentlemen for actually helping us out and helping my mother find her phone. read more

Disappointed with the deli tonight. Showed up at 7:30pm and was told by Kyrie they wouldn't slice sandwich meat because they had to clean--store doesn't close until 10pm. Max was there too and didn't help. Poor customer service. read more

I popped in here strictly for some fried chicken and potato wedges, as I think Albertsons fried chicken is better than a vast majority of the fast food chain restaurants (and half the price I might add). I was not disappointed! The chicken was warm, moist and tasty (with a great outer crunch). The wedges were warm, solid and with just the right amount of seasoning. Albertsons has it dialed in on their fried chicken! The store looked very clean and organized, but again - I just came in for the fried chicken and potato wedges. I have in the past purchased Albertons macaroni and potato salads, but not from this store. If they are all in line with their store recipes I am sure those are great too. I did see the deli worker making a ginormous club sandwich, which could easily feed 4 people. Although the bread was pretty large the meats and veggies were STACKED! I asked if that was a special order, such as catering, and was told it was not and they sold them in a case across from the counter. That behemoth was $10.99 at the time of this review, a very good price if it tastes half as good as it looks. I will have to try one of those, with a friend or two, the next time I am in the O'side. read more

Never order from the floral department here. We had some special ordered balloons that we brought here to fill with helium for my son's birthday. Less than 4 hours later the balloons were already falling to the ground. We had other balloons that we were going to blow with air for the kids to play with so we went in to have those filled instead. The woman working floral was extremely rude and proceeded to start popping all of our custom ordered balloons stating it was store policy. No refund for the balloons she popped either. The manager was also useless and they were extremely rude when we asked for them to swap our the helium tanks since that one was obviously almost empty. read more

Popped into this Albertsons tonight for some cold beer, local craft beer, and margarita fixings! I was pleased to find everything quickly and right up front. There were some pretty decent specials tonight in liquor that was comparable to Costco pricing. I also liked the fresh made guacamole and salsas right as I entered the door. Even tajin close up front. When we arrived at about 9pm in the dark, there was a young man (bagger perhaps) helping an older customer out with her groceries. This kind of service puts a smile on my face every time. Everyone here seemed pleasant and available if need be but not in your face. Bags are 10 cents a piece in California but quite sturdy (I can't imagine the need to double bag here). I also really like how you don't need a membership card for sales. Two thumbs up Albertsons for caring customer service and having exactly what we needed! read more

I'd began to shop at the Oceanside location more, until, I was approached by a musician of an unknown genre recommending me to contribute towards his career. This incident occurred within the last couple of months. While shopping last night, I was able to confirm the person. He his stricken my anxiety. When asked to represent the material originally displayed. For some reason, he requested my mobile device instead. This would not be a problem but I also noticed this individual randomly sitting behind myself on the NCTD transit in the following days. Please terminate or relocate this employee. read more

I like Albertsons because of the overall feeling of good quality from the employees to the food. There's only one other grocery store in the area which is Stater Bros. which doesn't give me that feeling of quality. Sometimes Stater Bros. is more affordable but overall Albertsons is way better. So yes Albertsons do have people selling cookies or asking for donations a lot but the same goes for Walmart and Stater Bros. Sometimes Albertsons can be pretty expensive but depending on what you get the prices aren't bad. read more

This post is overdue. Purchased four gift credit cards before the 4th of July. The young male clerk at checkout carelessly tore one of the gift cards to scan the barcode. I only noticed it after I paid. I requested to get another gift card as the one he ripped was not presentable. Rolling his eyes in exasperation, he said I could not do that. I pointed out my concern about the careless tear he had done to my gift card. Shrugging his shoulders, he dismissively said "You can complain to management if you want." ... really? Five Stars to the bakery had an I Love Lucy theme party ordered it in advance because I really wanted a 3 leches it was so good and the decor was wonderful. A standard grocery store, not usually very busy, and not offering self service checkout -- which is good and bad! I like that I recognize the checkers, and the lines are not usually long. They don't carry everything I need, but the butcher guys are super nice and helpful. Just a compliment on the flowers --- one or three times in ten, their $5 Friday bouquets are worth the trip. There have been a few bouquets that lasted over two weeks... totally random, but worth noting. Can't seem to add a photo, but lilies and roses were exquisite. read more

Want to say that I most often frequent the deli section and have always been happy with their service. This location tends to be a little less crowded than other stores and I've never waited more than. A few minutes to check out. My only complaint is about their Monopoly game since I never win anything I want and it generally wastes my time ripping them open only to be disappointed. read more

I like to shop here, but only at night. I can't handle the constant barrage of solicitors. If it isn't a church group begging for change, it's a drug rehab group. Or a help the homeless group. Or a group selling cookies or popcorn. When I park and approach the store, I will 99% of the time do a complete 180, get back in my car, and drive across the way to Stater Brothers. No solicitors ever seem to be there. I'm not saying I have ever had a bad experience in Albertsons. Quite the opposite. But the solicitation is a deal breaker for me. I probably spend more at Stater Brothers now than I used to simply because of the solicitors. I actually skip all places that have solicitors posted up in front and I will drive wherever I can to avoid solicitors. I donate to charity, by the way. I just don't think that putting money in a tin can is always legit. read more

Ive been shopping here for more than five years and im seriously considering going to stater brothers down the street. The bagers are horrific, they must have no training at all. What keeps me coming back to the simple yet useful grocery store? The great prices! The weekly sale flier I get in the mail has always looked better than Ralphs or Stater Bros and the prices are always better for what I purchase. Albertsons doesn't have much personality on their in-store displays and the deli staff could use a moral booster but neither of those cloud my experience while shopping. The cashiers always have a smile and they are the people I interact with most. I know how rough the job can be and how low the pay can get, but they are still smiling! The layout of the store makes sense, most of the time. There are still times when I find myself thinking "where is that stupid _____?" Great sales on meat, juice, breakfast products and occasionally condiments. This is what keeps my bargain shopper bunz coming back for more. They could use less solicitors out front though; I pay with credit! I don't carry cash and when you look at me with your hand our or your change bucket, I do really want to help you. I just don't have the money- so I duck my head, pull out my cell phone or just walk really fast across the parking lot. read more

I like the Pharmacists here, but I recently stopped in and purchased some groceries. I picked up some Granny Smith Apples, I noticed one shelf of Apples listed at "On Sale" $1.49@ pound and another shelf of the Apples listed at $1.69@ pound, obviously I chose the $1.49@ pound Apples, DUH! At check out I got charged $1.69@ pound. The check register was really busy. I brought it to the attention of the checker. I found some one representing themselves as 'management'. I took her to the produce department and showed her the conflicting prices. She 'said' she'd change it, but now it is the principle of the idea. so how many other shoppers didn't say anything, and how many other items in the store are accurately priced, once taken to the check out registers? Every Sunday after church, I stop in this store. And about two month's ago, I stopped at the deli counter. There was a Hispanic woman working there and I said hello and she ignored me. I stood there several minutes and she would not serve me. There were no other customers and she just turned her back to me. So I kept coming back and every Sunday it was the same thing. I would stand there and she would turn her back to me. Today, I stood there for ten minutes. I could not explain this phenomenon. I am clean, shaved, my hair is combed. I don't think I am hideously ugly. But I am Caucasian. I can't believe that I am saying this but apparently white people are not welcome at Albertsons. I will go shop at Stater Brothers of course. A typical Albertson's..doesn't look amazingly well kept, but it's not grungy either. I wish they kept the cabinet of nice alcohol near the other alcohol so that I could find what I needed...thought they didn't have my Ciroc and bought another vodka :T Then they tell me it's in a counter past the cashiers and almost opposite of the alcohol section...At least Ralph's has theirs in the same aisle.... read more

I love this Albertson's. It's super slow and has a nice smell that reminds me of the nineteen eighties. Stepping inside feels like going back in time. You can tell the decor has totally been set up to bring back memories of the 80's to match the smell, provided you are old enough to have memories of the 80's and not so old that you don't have any memories at all. Everything is great at this Albertson's. Except the Sauza Hornitos is too expensive, so I'm docking two stars from my otherwise five-star review. read more

Albertsons is one of my favorite grocery stores. They don't seem to get too crowded or have crazy lines. The employees are always fast and friendly. They have all the best brands and a good selection of cheaper off brands. The bakery is really good and you can usually find good stuff at the deli and meat counter as well. The beer selection is way better than your average chain grocery store, they carry lots of local beers. They always seem to be doing some fun promotional games and you no longer have to have a club card for savings. read more
