The lane we had, 28, glitched often. Said I had a strike multiple times when I never did. Glad we were only playing each other for kicks and giggles or I'd have been highly irritated. Got a pitcher of beer which had zero complaints but the bar tender watching the game and serving no one seemed irritated at our mere presence. Then to top off the fact that he had to change a tap was almost head explosion. Would only come back bc it's the only alley in BG but it made me seriously question opening my own bowling alley in BG bc I know I could do better than this place.

Very disappointing. Bowling alley food is usually good. After them not serving food for so long we were so excited to eat there. We won't do that again. Also no beer. Several months ago, our good friend told us we needed to come here and eat because their burgers…read morewere the best in town. My husband and I finally got a chance to go. We went for lunch around 12:15 on Tuesday. Everyone was really friendly. The waitress came over and took our order quickly. Some time went by and I could hear the waitress telling the man that cooked our food something was mixed up. They talked a minute and she brought my husband his plate. He ordered the Strike Out Burger (w/cheese) and an order of crinkle fries. She said mine would be just a minute. She came back very quickly with my plate; she walked away to greet a couple that had just walked in. I looked at my plate and then I looked at my husband. He said I think they forgot some of your fries. I literally had less than half of what he had, and it was clearly the bottom of the bag because neither fry was longer than a pen cap. Definitely not a $3 portion. But whatever... he said he'd share his fries with me. We were on our way out of town so we didn't have any extra time. As the waitress walked by, I asked if I could get pickles and mayo (both of which were missing from my hamburger). She brought them back quickly. My husband said that his burger was decent and hot. I could not say the same about mine. There is no possible way that my burger had just been made... NO WAY. It tasted and looked like it had been cooked earlier and then "reheated". I put reheated in quotes because my burger was not the least bit hot. Nothing about it was good. I ate a few bites but it was super tough, cold and had zero salt. I ate my fries and some of my husband's and I was done at that point. I know. I should have said something right then, but we were on our way to pick our daughter up and at that point I just wanted to leave. I saw my friend today (the one who told me about this place) and told him about my experience. He apologized and said he wasn't surprised. He said the last few times he's been recently, the food was not good at all. I'm not sure if there is a different cook, or what, but clearly something has changed. I always go back to a place a second time just to give them a second chance because any place can have a bad day. Maybe I came on a bad day or maybe this is their new normal.

After trying both Maillard Wood Fired Kitchen and StrEAT Kitchen, I think Social Food Hall deserves…read morea review of its own, because this place is much more than somewhere to grab a bite to eat. Located at 110 S. Main Street in downtown Elizabethtown, Social takes the food-court idea and gives it a serious upgrade. Instead of everybody in your group having to agree on one restaurant, there are multiple kitchens under the same roof. Currently that includes Maillard Wood Fired Kitchen for Neo-Neapolitan wood-fired pizza, StrEAT Kitchen for smash burgers and other street-food-style dishes, and Wasabi Bistro for made-to-order Japanese food. We've already tried Maillard's Italian Meats pizza and a bacon smash burger with Parmesan fries from StrEAT, and both were fantastic. So the hardest part may be deciding which direction to walk when you get hungry. But the thing that surprised me was everything else inside. There's a full bar and self-pour tap wall, plus duckpin bowling, pool upstairs, arcade games and pinball machines. And we're not talking about only new arcade games either. I spotted some real old-school machines, including NBA Jam, Fisherman's Bait and Track & Field. If you grew up feeding quarters into arcade machines, you may forget you originally came here to eat. The building itself is really cool too. It's a big open industrial-style space with high ceilings, exposed brick and plenty of different seating--from regular tables and long communal tables to more comfortable lounge-style areas. There's enough going on that a family or group could easily make an afternoon or evening out of it rather than just eating and leaving. I also like the concept because everybody doesn't have to want the same thing. Somebody wants wood-fired pizza? Done. Somebody wants a smash burger? Done. Somebody else wants Japanese? They've got that too. Then everyone meets back at the same table. That's a pretty smart setup. And based on our visit, the atmosphere was peaceful and enjoyable and the service we received was awesome. We never felt rushed, and it was the kind of place where you could hang around after eating instead of immediately heading for the door. Social Food Hall gets from us. Come hungry, bring some friends, and give yourself some extra time. You may go in planning to eat a pizza or burger and come out having eaten both, played NBA Jam, gone bowling and somehow lost half your afternoon. That's not a bad way to spend a day.

Decide what you want to eat, order, and find a seat. They offer a variety of food types - Pizza, Burgers, Asian, etc - so there's something for everyone. We chose smash burgers from the STREAT Kitchen. I got the Street Smash and upgraded my chips to tater tots. The burger comes on a large, Hawaiian bread type bun which holds up well with all that's going on in between the bun. The sauce they use is very flavorful with the pickles, cheese, and lettuce enhancing the taste of the burger. I highly recommend. Hubby got the American Smash and really enjoyed his as well. If we were staying in the area longer, I would come back to try other food and play some of the games.

I am not one to leave this kind of review.. especially about a local place! But this place needs a attitude check. We ended up staying maybe 2 hours and then when it came time to pay the total was not sitting right with me so I went back in and asked for help to explain this, And I was told "I didn't know how to do math" and then I was told "Do you have a calculator... well pull it out" as well as " Did you consider sales tax" I had a child with me and the child was cussed at when the child spoke up words were said like "No F*** Way". I tried my best to be polite and respectful and lucky I have dealt with the public before or I would have straight up jumped behind the counter. This place is a joke, cosmic night pricing does not exist cause he said " he wasn't doing it tonight" When I asked questions to the cashier I was asked " Why do you wanna know that" This person somehow made this about himself saying " I don't like to me made of a retard" When I was just curious about how the total came to be that much and was given no receipt to help. Money does not grow on trees! They have a system where you pay ahead online and reserve your lane for however many games you want they only give you 30 minutes per game. They were just three of us and we would have finished in 30 minutes for both our games but at least 15 to 20 times our ball was stuck so we were delayed getting our ball back along with again over 10 times the pins were stuck in the air and weren't coming back down. The family beside us which had three lanes shared the ball release lane with us, so they were buzzing them through their little system there which would stall their clock, but not ours therefore we didn't get to finish our second game When I tried to talk to two different people at the counter, especially a middle-aged woman there obviously she could care less, she was very robotic, would not budge on giving us our last two go rounds on our game nor a refund and said because every time we had a delay the clock stopped, which was not true yet I found out from the people next to me which had a large group they were given 10 extra minutes after their clock ran out to finish their game, even though their clock had been stopping every time they hit the button for trouble That's how you wanna spend your time constantly calling for help Nothing was consistent or smooth Janky place! Needless to say, what a waste of money, so frustrating even when you would try to be nice they were completely disregarding the situation when all along it was their fault, yet they'll take your money, it is extremely overpriced plus now to rent shoes it is $4.50 plus tax Used to it was $2.50 They're taking advantage of every person they can!
