I remembered the first time I visited this place I and saw their cute merchandise and trinkets I knew I had to come back. The merchandise they carry is similar to Hobby Lobby, or T.J. Maxx's merchandise for home decor, gifts and trinkets except more unique and a tad bit more expensive. But I love anything unique that's not mass produced with that unique personal touch. But a lot of their merchandise are marked higher than most places. They have a nice variety of selections from jewelry, to baby gifts, home decor, snacks, cute pens and pencils for the office, etc... But if your gift shopping for someone and want a special non generic gift or looking for something unique for yourself and for your home this is the place to go. Their merchandise also comes in different styles from contemporary to traditional pieces which appeals to different tastes. Awesome!!! And their shop is coordinated by color. Sometimes they have discount specials... where if your first or last name starts with a certain letter in the alphabet you save 20%, and they also have a rewards card. Once that's filled up you can save money, but otherwise when shopping there just expect to shell out some extra cash. This is one cutest gift shops I've been to. I go here even if I'm not visiting someone in the hospital. But because this place is located in a hospital parking can be hard to find. But I recommend checking this place out.

I got to visit Make South Bend during one of its Makers Markets, which meant that I got to chat with some makers along with shopping. In particular, I chatted with an awesome jewelry maker. I wish I remembered her name. I bought two hammered copper necklaces from her -- two for $20 was a deal I couldn't pass up -- and she seemed so excited to be there and talk about her craft. Make hosted a soap maker, other jewelers and some paper goods from what I can remember. And the display at the front of the store really drew me in. There were a few T-shirts and tank tops that I wanted so much to take home with me. Alas, they were only available in small and 2X. I definitely plan to peak in on my next South Bend visit and see if they have more available. Make also hosts classes. If I lived in Michiana, I would definitely take advantage of these. Melton crayon art, pine cone projects, wreath making, screenprinting, laser cutting Star Wars ornaments -- I so want in! And as I told the owner, I love that she focuses on the crafts part of making, as well as more technical aspects, like laser cutting and Arduino programming. So many makerspaces only showcase technical arts; Make has a more well-rounded vision. South Bend peeps, find your inner creative at Make!

This review is in regards to my visit in March 2026. This was my second visit to the SB Chocolate Cafe - my boyfriend and I shared a slice of chocolate cheesecake nearly a year ago. I remember it being very expensive but pretty good and indulgent. I'm a very kind food reviewer, looking past lots of mistakes. But my god, I hated my chicken salad sandwich. The goop inside was so so bad. Everything felt a little too Gordon food service-y. I swear our chicken salad, coleslaw, and mustard potato salad are all from large vats. The overhead must be huge here. For lunch, my bf paid $35 for tax and tip, which is honestly a little expensive for two sandwiches. Don't order lunch here but do check out their actual chocolate store. They make great gifts! And their discounted section is full of cheap treats!

Had the chicken pesto and it was honestly really good. The guy in front of me had a burger and he was overjoyed saying he would come back for the same thing later this week. Service was fantastic all the way around, even when they sold me a beer that they couldn't provide (some sort or cooler issue). If you are into it they have a huge supply of crazy sodas to buy. Honestly they would have gotten five stars but I tried several of the chocolates and they were a tad disappointing especially for the price. Give the grill a shot but maybe skip the gourmet chocolates?

Tasty Peach Studios is worth the stop if you love anime, manga, cosplay or cute things in general…read more  They participate in lots of conventions throughout the year like the one I recently attended in Kalamazoo, MI (Dokidokon).  I found out there was a store near me and I just had to stop by. At the convention I attended I got a short one tone blue wig and a $42 triceratops stuffie.  Now before you judge, it was super duper cute.  At the time they had 3 dinosaurs (though it was rumored there would be more in the nearish future) and they were modeled after Smores.  The trisaratops was the gramn cracker and had the baige color.  There was also a chocolate brown colored dino and a marshmallow white dino.  They all were super cute but I could only get one. This store has a great selection of items and often has events going on.  Over the weekend of September 20-22 they had some free things going on since Ramencon was happening nearby.  My husband was able to get a pop figure box signed by the voice actor while there and he was ecstatic. The staff is friendly, the merch is cute and the store is well stocks and clean.  I love Tasty Peach.  I will come back over and over and over again.
