This Raley's location in Natomas is one of the closer grocery stores from our house and we visited on Sunday to grab some food for the week plus Superbowl snacks. It was pretty busy when we arrived around 10am, but we were in an out in less than an hour! They had Valentine's Day balloons everywhere which I personally loved seeing. They also offered a bunch of on theme items in the bakery. This Raley's location has a Starbucks inside which we visited and grabbed some pastries at to enjoy while walking around. They had a lot of marked down items which were budget friendly! The store was also clean and organized. My daughter and niece also found the hidden hedgehog during this visit and each got a lollipop as a prize. Do all Raley's locations do this? Staff at the checkout were very friendly! They had everything that I needed. I love one stop shopping. This weeks main entree is Chicken Stroganoff made in the crockpot. I just got a new large r crockpot from my mom to make these bigger recipes. Last week I made pork chops and that was a success. The butcher was a big help and pointed me right to the pork chops I was looking for. This week the main ingredient was chicken. I wish the chicken was on sale this week, but it wasn't so this was a splurge. I could have used the frozen breasts I had from the sale, but I wanted to cook it the same day and didn't want to have to wait till they defrosted. As it turns out I didn't have enough time the same day so I could have used the frozen breasts as there was plenty of time to defrost them. Who knew I'd run out of time. In this recipe it calls for ranch dressing dry mix. I'm kind of skeptical of the recipe as I've never used the dry mix before or put ranch dressing in any of my recipes. I only use it for my salads or dipping vegetables in. On the other hand I've used Italian dressing as a marinade and as a sauce for my pasta salads. This is going to be an experience. I hope all turns out as I'm making 3 lbs and would hate to have to eat something icky all week. Along with the ranch dressing dry mix goes a can of cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, a pack of cream cheese, the block kind, sour cream, and stem and pieces mushrooms. The recipe takes 5-6 hours to cook the onions and chicken separately. Then you take the chicken out and chop it up, before adding the sauce. And lastly right before serving it you add the sour cream. This recipe also calls for butter noodles. Those were also not on sale, but from my experience they are never on sale. We'll see how it goes. If it's a flop I'll be back at Raley's tomorrow for something else to eat. I'm thinking something quick like fried chicken or a frozen lasagna. read more

I haven't had a Raleys sandwich in a very long time. I was shocked on the price and the size of it. It's almost like a 6 inch that you get at Subway and very little produce and meat is on it. The price was 9.99. It's funny prices go up but the product shrinks. Tell me how that makes sense. read more

Today a family member stopped by Raley in Natomas for lunch. She tried purchasing via debit. The first time it declined. The clerk runs the card and boom, purchased. She walks away and a woman runs stops her and said she's leaving without paying. She is now embarrassed and stops at the ATM and guess what? She pulls out $100.00. She comes to me and tells me what happened (I have been in the credit card industry over 25 years. I said it's their POS system. We call the bank and they verify no transaction has registered from Raleys. Exactly what I said. We go back and the manager said to speak with the assistant manager This goofy dumb blonde wants to debate with me about credit card processing. Girl bye. This is why you only work in a grocery store. I will never shop there again. read more

The Natomas Raleys is a great store but the Hot Wok section seems to have a customer service issue. My family and I have tried to order from this establishment several times with no success. If you call an order in they say it must be 24 hours in advance. If you go in to order at the counter , they will not cook the delicious chicken for you although they have only been open for an hour. You have to ask four or five times before the owner will even move from the chair. Store is so nice but this service at Hot Wok is the only space lacking good customer experience. Welp, what used to be my favorite grocery store has now succumbed to the pressures maybe of the times and is now one of the more ghetto grocery stores like Safeway. Came here twice, looking for items specifically shrimp that they have on their ad and they are continually out. They have tiny little spots on the shelf where they're supposed to be stocked and every time I've checked this one near my house and another one they are out of stock. I requested a rain check and I was told that they no longer give rain checks for meat and several items because they don't know if they'll get them back in again. Verified this with the manager and she said it's from corporate. I'm just really disappointed in the quality of the service and the store. Raleys and Bel Air have always previously stood by their products and their pricing and now I would say they are not any different than any other store out there as far as quality and service, which is very disappointing because they were always top-notch before. Salad bar review specifically - great salad bar, always fresh, their soup is also yummy. My only issue is that some people will load up their soup with all the key soup ingredients and leave broth (or nothing) for those behind them. What does Raleys do about the people who fill up 6 - 8 quarts of soup, taking all the popular flavored soups and ingredients, even while others are waiting? For instance, I was waiting my turn today and the guy in front of me loaded up 6 broccoli cheddar quarts, taking most of that soup (it was 1045 a.m.), and then fished out all the meat and noodles from the chicken noodle soup into more quart containers. Literally just left broth and a few carrot rounds in the half full soup vat. Any recourse here? I get that it's first come first served, but this is happening more and more often. Can we have a limit on the number of quarts someone can take? Thank you!! read more

Saturday morning (2/21/26) at 7:30, I phoned Raley's meat department and spoke to Rene. I was looking for corned beef. The store I was at in Natomas did not have any, neither did another store I had called. I explained the situation to Rene, I wanted the corned beef for a family member's birthday dinner. I have always been able to get it this time of year. He said he didn't have any, but he then checked the previous day's delivery and saw that they had indeed received a case. I drove over to the store and he was kind enough to take the time to search through the pallet of meat to find the corned beef even though he had a million other things to do. He really went above and beyond to make my family member's birthday dinner special. Thank you for the extra effort Rene! read more

I've been a daily shopper here since November and I'm consistently disappointed with the produce department. Yes it looks full and beautiful, but after closer inspection I find expired produce hidden in the stacks. So far I've come home with 4 bell peppers with mold growing inside, multiple shallots, and today the cucumber poppers all were moldy. Please look over your food safety protocols in this department. Also, Cindy is the best cashier. I try to go to her line every visit because she is fast, friendly, and efficient. She and your all star front end are my reason to keep coming back. read more

These are trying times... surely understandable due to COVID. But what is happening to the ECart service?!? Service has been increasingly wonky. Due to the pandemic, sure I understand that items may not be in stock and the long pickup wait times. But no longer loading groceries into the car. The loading was the selling point for me. The last time I used the service, I waited in the parking lot nearly 25 minutes upon texting them on arrival. Come to think of it, that is the average wait time for me for my past two visits. At my last visit, the person gave me the cart and starting walking off. I asked if she could unload the cart, she replied no and stated "we are busy". This left me gobsmacked. I was left to unload the cart and return it to the cart corral. Ugh. To boot, they placed the two 24 packs of bottled water inside the cart. So I had to use my back to lift those suckers out and into my car. Ugh with an ouch. Not so convenient. On the bright side for me, I have not been overcharged on my bill like many others. But from the reviews, it does happen and seems like quite an effort to clear those charges. Darn... sure would like Raleys to please bring back the loading of groceries as part of the ECart service. Because of these inconveniences and elimination of loading groceries, I have switched shopping from here to another grocer for my grocery deliveries. read more

For at least 85 years Rayles has been around and I cannot tell you enough how great this company is. From fresh produce, an awesome rewards program with personalized coupons, money back vouchers and the friendliest employees you'll ever come across! On Tuesday I had some time to kill before my ride home and I thought why not get some groceries. Since the store was pretty much empty when I arrived after 9, I sang through the aisles to the upbeat music they played and found everything I needed thanks to the helpful staff! I would definitely recommend this location and I will definitely be coming back! I went back yesterday and got the refund for the sprouts, but as a whole kinda got brushed off by whoever gave me the refund, and I sincerely doubt the sprouts were checked or removed. I understand that a lot of people probably jerk those poor employees around, but as someone who came in super nice and friendly even though I asked for a refund, I was met with an annoyed sigh, skepticism, and a very reluctant refund followed by the courtesy, "I'm sorry this happened to you." And as someone who works in retail and deals with returns, complaints, and refunds on a daily basis, I don't think she genuinely took the issue seriously, and I get being tired, but to look annoyed and exasperated by someone just seeking help, that's not cool. read more

Tanya, the night manager, truly understands customer service. I met her first inside as she thanked me for shopping on my way out of self check out. The store had already announced "closing time," so I find it more impressive to be gracious at the end of the night. Then, as I started to drive away, I had a flashback of my phone in the cart. I circled around and looked inside some carts but didn't see it. That is when Tanya came and asked me if I was missing something. She was gathering up carts in our first heat wave. I explained. I thought I might have left my phone, but it also could be in my shopping bags. She offered to call it for me, i didn't hear anything and figured there was a chance it was on silent, and she offered to Bluetooth (something I had never thought of before) Then she heard it, quite a few feet away... I was so excited. I would have driven away had I not encountered her in the parking lot. I offered her a cash reward, but she declined and said that helping customers is her job. What an angel (heatwave, closintime)! Raleys is lucky to have a leader like Tanya, who embodies customer service. I forsee her having her own store soon, and I will be there to support it. read more

My previous review was removed by YELP. So here is a revised review. The grocery store itself is alright. They do keep a clean store. Peet's has some nice workers. Grocery workers are ok to nice. Super high prices. One of the most expensive grocery chains in Nor Cal. Their sale prices are equal to regular pricing at other grocery stores! This us the closest grocery store to me. 2 miles away and I drive farther for the past 15 years for better prices, value and customer service. I personally had a bad experience with a lady that should not work customer service. When asked a simple question at the postal center she flat out ignored me and looked away and helped someone else. It could have been a simple yes/no answer. I would assume that she was having a bad day but this was not the first time. Unfortunately, she does not have the skillset to work with the public. I do hope management is aware and does takes action. Corporate HQ could be more interested. As may the owners and president of operations. After all, the stake they have in their business is on a much grander scale. Sadly, I have many friends who have told me they had similar experiences with the postal center customer service. In the past, in all fairness, it used to be friendly. However, that seems to be definitely gone. There are a couple long time regulars that are nice but some more recent hires need some serious training on customer service. Some of my Yelp followers/friends and I have noticed and there are many subpar reviews concerning the customer service. It honestly flat-out makes you not want to visit this store which include friends not visiting, and more. A definite snowball effect from something like a bad employee can be detrimental to a business. I am a long term customer of both Raley's and Bel Air. And we have spent a LOT of money. So it pains me to leave a review that is not so good. I will say one thing: Their Bakery is fantastic! The muffins and cakes are fresh, quality and delicious. But the deli especially has gone way down hill. A lot is hit and miss. The potato salads are sometimes great. Other meh or bad. The chicken strips are sometimes great-other old tasting and chewy. It's disappointing. Seems like I might be having to buy my main groceries from Costco and just use them for basics. Usually something has to stand out for me to write a review. The butcher was great. I pre-ordered a cap sirloin. They did a great job but I wish they would have l j left a little more fat cap. I stopped by the hot bar. The food was terrible. First it's 9.99 a lb. If I would have gotten one chicken breast it would have cost $5. The chicken strips were unseasoned and dry. Had a lovely experience at Raley's bakery with baker Laura, I came in for a last minute birthday cake and wasn't sure on what I wanted or desired design flavor ect with so many options to choose from I gave her a few ideas and details of what I thought would be best. Laura took in those ideas and suggested a beautiful marble cake and easily wrote my wishes. People like Laura are heaven sent! She took my overwhelming stressful experience and made it graceful! Being just a mile away I find myself at this Raley's at least once a week. Our son loves that as soon as we walk in, he knows he's going to get a free piece of fruit to enjoy while we shop. This location is stocked, clean and prices are comparative to some of the other supermarkets in town. Don't believe me, I just checked ad and prime rib and ham are both cheaper at this location than the competitor this week. We've also been buying crab for $6.99 per pound. (BTW shout out to Nate in the seafood department for providing awesome customer service and hooking it up with the largest crabs they had.) Some of our favorites are the fresh fruits, meats (especially the bacon) and Asian style fried chicken. Their roasted vegges are pretty good too. Like any other grocery store, you can expect it to be busier than usual right after work and the days leading up to a holiday. Thankfully the team members at this location do their best to keep the lines moving with a smile. Try to be patient and remember they are trying to get you out of there as fast as they can. Then, a day after I received the last order I placed online with Natomas Raley's, I had an unauthorized purchase charged to the Raley's West Sac store on the card I used at Natomas. I immediately contacted the Natomas store and after talking for a while I convinced the man at the online order "desk" that the West Sac order was not mine and he reversed the charge. I had no assurance anything would be done about this to make sure it doesn't continue to happen. This use to be one of my favorite stores! I always loved the bakery/deli/meat counter! I do understand everyone is short staffed But a few weeks ago I went to pick up a quick dinner with sushi, it usually is really good. The girl behind the counter was so rude. I just walked away. Today I go into the bakery asked if they had any sheet cakes the girl so no. I said will you have any tomorrow? She said I really don't know? Okay isn't the bakery part of making cakes??? There are few other stores that compete with Raley's but the only competition is BelAir which is also owned by Raleys's. We tried going to few others but we quickly realized that they were no match to Raley's both in terms of quality, and customer service. We have been frequenting this particular store since 2011. We normally get our weekly groceries on Sunday (hint: Monday is the best day to get the best deals) and it's fun every single week to see what's in store. From fresh produce to poultry to dairy they got it all including a huge section for Organic food as well as a special section for Gluten Free items. Please do sign up for Raleys rewards and mind you they are worth it. Every dollar you spend, gets you a point and at the end of the quarter they will mail you a Raley's Cash coupon worth the amount of points you have. The max we got one time was around $65. If you spend over $150 in a one time transaction you will also get $0.50/gallon discount at any Raley's/BelAir gas stations and $0.25/gallon if above $100 and $.010/gallon for above $50. On top the cash voucher always have some freebie items like a FREE Peet's Drink(medium) or free strawberries etc. This store also houses Peet's coffee, Hot lunch bar, Chinese food. Kids can also get one free fruit (Apple/Banana/Orange) or they can get a free cookie from their awesome dessert shop. They have great selection of Kombuchas, Kefirs and other non-soda alternatives. Overall they have everything that you need if you are a master cook or someone like me who likes grab n go. Completing my review with talking about customer service would be a bad idea. Their customer service from all of their employees is nothing but tip notch service. No matter how busy they are they will take the time to know you, acknowledge you, ask you at the cash register if you need something, make recommendations, give recommendations all with a SMILE. She had one customer ahead of me so I laid the 12pack on the counter next time to me. She looked unfriendly by never acknowledging me or saying hi. After the customer left she look at me and yelled in a loud condescending tone, "I can help you on this side." I yell back louder and said "Don't you ever yell at me you understand!" I am a customer what is wrong with you? She lowered her tone but still was confrontational, I didn't yell, so I asked so "I just got mad for no reason?" At this time, the whole store was shocked from the loud commotion. I asked for the GM but was greeted by the Team Leader. I told him that his employee had the nerve to yell at me! I could tell that he knew how bad she was so I didn't have to go into much detail. He calmed me down and asked another girl to replace her. He listened to why I was there and understood immediately. He refunded the $16+ and apologized. Your Team leader handled the situation professionally. I expected him to be confrontational with me but he wasn't at all. Give this man a raised or promotion cause he's calm, cool and collected. I have been going to that Raley's for 7 years and stopped because of unfriendly service. A picture of Mr. Raleys used to be on the wall overseeing everyone. A smile goes a long way! Raleys built his empire locally as the friendly neighborhood market.
