Charged me $340 to simply put my serpentine belt back on. I could've done that myself if my car wasn't lowered. When I asked about it..they told me they also flushed my radiator. I did not ask them to do that and still doesn't justify the price ridiculous. read more

They essentially stole $200 from me. Came in for a 4 wheel alignment and picked it up the same day. Car was already out of alignment a few days later so I replaced the tires at discount tire figuring they might be the issue as they were very much at the end of their life. Got another alignment for $100 at discount tire and was told that the reason it was out of alignment is that whoever worked on it last didn't even bother to tighten down the washers after aligning the wheels so of course it went out of wack. He said he was able to un tighten them by hand to fix it, that's how loose it was. I think they did half the job and as it was close to closing time on a Friday, got lazy and miscommunicated telling me to come pick it up when I called at 4 pm asking if it was ready. I really hope it's not the other option, that they had no idea how to work on corvettes and didn't tell me they didn't know what they were doing. Because taking my car if they didn't even know how to align it is as scummy as it gets. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars and not 1 is the gentleman who took my car was very nice. It seemed like an old school place that took their work seriously which only adds to the disappointment with the job I got. I really thought I was going to be taken care of when I saw them still using pen and paper for all the notes, old school stuff you don't see much any more which lead me to thinking they knew what they were doing. I can't thank Terry and the team enough for their amazing job. Took my car recently to another auto shop to get 4 new tires put on (trip1). Found out after taking the car home that they didn't do an alignment and claimed i declined it (not true). Took car back for alignment and started to notice a loud humming noise (trip 2). Had to take the car back for them to tell me it was my right wheel bearing and the reason they didn't notice it was because the street they drive it on for alignment checks doesn't go over 40mph (trip3). Then they wanted to charge me over $700. Called Terry and team who got me fixed up. They were so nice and helpful. Never once felt stupid for asking questions and never overcharged me for anything. They turned this terrible situation into a wonderful experience at their shop. Not only did we find out it was the front right wheel bearing but actually found out it was both front wheel bearings. This was completely overlooked by the other shop. Terry helped me through the whole process and actually charged me less for 2 wheel bearings then the previous shop quoted me for one. Amazing place and actually affordable - 1/3 of cost as other place quoted and got me in next morning and out in two hours with all brakes being changed! They don't go looking for all the broken things and sell you on extras but this is my type of garage! 10/10 would recommend, will never get brakes done anywhere else and will recommend highly! They don't do everything here so call first.. Changed out my filters at my request and they were super nasty (same price as other place) Other place had recommended but didn't tell me how bad it was. Had some struts to replace. I had my own parts. Got tood to come down to get an accurate quote. Was quoted 622 with alignment. Brought it in the next day for the scheduled service and was told that they misquoted because of something they didnt see(more work had to take out cv axles). Tried to charge more but kinda honored the previous quote but not really because it came out to be another 130 than initially quoted. They did do good work and let me use my own parts but wish i had gotten the quote in writing. read more

Raley Brake and Alignment have done an excellent job with alignment services on my Ford Superduty diesel 4x4 truck and my wife's Hyundai. They got right to the problem and diagnosed the rough ride in the Hyundai (bad struts). I replaced the struts myself, and Raley's did the alignment at a reasonable price. My truck needed the camber adjusted, and the camber is unadjustable from the factory. They put in a kit that made the camber adjustable, and the trucks issues with going through front tires prematurely, went away - once again, at a reasonable price. The staff has always been friendly to me and my wife, and explains problems and corrective repairs to our satisfaction. They have never told me "this MIGHT fix the problem." Their diagnosis has always been spot on! read more

Made a wheel alignment appt, dropped my car off in the early afternoon & came back at closing to find they could not do the wheel alignment because the LF inner tierod was bad & had a torn boot. The pre-check cost $50 & Terry said he did not have time to make a repair estimate. A few days later, I raised the front end to check the wheels myself. Turns out he was right -- the tierod WAS bad & the boot WAS broken, but I also discovered both outer tierods were bad (loose) & the RF inner tierod boot was also broken. I have to presume this is the usual auto repair bait & switch tactic to get your vehicle in the shop & then find more problems. As a DIYer, I ended up buying new OEM left & right inner & outer tierods with new inner bellows and replacing them myself using an inner tierod removal tool loaner from a local auto parts shop. Then I had the wheels aligned at a different shop. Raley has decent online reviews but nothing recent, so I cannot personally recommend them for any auto repair. read more

I arrived in town with some suspicious noises coming from my rear brakes. With my hotel already booked in the area for business, I looked for a close brake repair shop to investigate. The first place I went agreed that I had an issue, and recommended I replace my brake pads, discs, and calipers. They wanted to charge over $900 for this service! (Tire Plus in Gulf Breeze...I'll get to you soon). I immediately called around and found Terry at Raley Brake and Alignment. He laughed when I told him about the quote I had just received, and quickly and professionally calculated a quote for me that was over 60% cheaper! I brought my car in, and within two hours they had me back on the road for a fraction what the other guys wanted. Their shop was in good shape, the staff was friendly and communicated with me well, and I was overall pleased with my experience. Dropped my 2005 1500 truck off twice spent over $800 to repair the front brakes still not fixed. Owner said it could be this or it could be that. Problem was I was losing brake fluid, he knew this. My brakes were sticking a little. Terry replaced the pads, did same thing but worse brought it back and to terry now he is saying the master cylinder could be out. The other brake shop said it should have been checked for a leak since I was adding fluid every few months he would have discovered that the master cylinder was out instead of just changing parts. The worst part was I told him I had a leak and needed a plug in my tire. I picked the truck up late afternoon and he did not even do it. He said "he did not have time." I am a small business owner myself and if your going to be a brake and tire company then know your craft I do. I have used him one other time to change out pads and he did a good job but he should have checked the master cylinder when I told him about losing brake fluid. I feel I was ripped off and you should be aware other than that, a likeable guy. I cannot do business with someone that does not use common sense. I had to wait three hours to have a plug fixed that he should have found the time the 5 DAYS he had the truck. Unacceptable. I would like my $800 back. read more

They called me 3 hours later to pick up my truck. The alignment they did was perfect, their price was very competitive. Great service from the mechanics. The waiting room was too small for customers. However, this is a mechanic shop and the name of the game is alignments and repairs. They do an amazing job with all of that for a very good price. I had my 1996 full-size Bronco aligned here after installing a lift kit, and it was spot on and has held its alignment quite well. Most rookie shops won't even try to align a vehicle after a lift kit has been installed, so I must say they knew what they were doing and I am a happy customer. read more

Buyer Beware! Bottom line: there are plenty of good mechanics in town; I would encourage you find someone who knows how to do simple math and won't give you a runaround on prices. Terry will strike you as an honest and up front kind of guy and beg you to bring all your business to him. He'll probably do a decent job too...but he might tell you the wrong price and sock you for an extra $140 when the bill comes. It happened to me- he quoted me a great price for the work required, and based on that I asked him to do a couple other things as well. When it was al lfinished, it was, "Oh...by the way I forgot to add in the price of the rotors in the quote I gave you over the phone. You owe me an extra $140." - Come on Terry you do this for a living- It's simple math. I might forgive this if I had known you longer, but this was my first visit - and I've got a sour taste. If you don't stand behind your word, it begs the question whether you will stand behind your work. read more

Our brakes went out while traveling from Orlando to Houston on a Sunday night. Raley's was nice enough to squeeze us in on Monday morning and fix our front brakes. They were very honest people and could have made a huge sale (as it was 2 moms and 4 teenagers who knew nothing about brakes)! However, they only changed the front brakes and explained that we had 30% on the back ones so be sure to have my husband change when we returned to Texas but would be fine getting home. They were very friendly and professional (but very old school - mom and pop type atmosphere that America needs more of)! Would certainly use them again if ever needed. read more
