My stomach was a mess for months -- I had my first doctor misdiagnose me (see Dr. Beckerman review) Then another doctor break up with me, basically told me my blood test results made no sense and told me there was nothing he can do. (He's lucky he doesn't have a page on yelp to review) Then Preeti Mehta to the rescue. Although my symptoms were bizarre, and nothing added up, she took initiative, put me on antibiotics immediately, and when that didn't go as planned, she gave me an endoscopy the SAME DAY as my appointment! She even gave me her cell phone number in case I had any emergencies. She is incredibly upbeat, super caring, and an all around genuine person.

When I went in for my scheduled colonoscopy, I was kept waiting several hours before I was taken into the procedure room. I made a follow up appointment and was called that afternoon that the doctor was unavailable but she can call me later that day they would call to check me in to obtain my co-pay who charges a co-pay for a follow up to a procedure. I've never had to do that before they called me to check in 30 minutes after they said they would and the doctor would be calling me in 10 minutes. It is now an hour later and I still haven't received a call. I'm going into the office to collect my records and will never use this facility again.

I watched it morph into Sears, now NYU Langone. I was a little concerned about the parking (based on what I had heard.) It was a snap and there was plenty of parking available. You walk into a very bright and clean facility with people here to help and guide you no matter where you are. The halls are also big, bright and wide with plenty of signage. My wife had filled out most of the paperwork ahead of time but there was still a small amount of information needed. The folks at the front desk were so friendly and easy to work with. I was very pleased with the quality of care here. You can also see that from all the people walking in and out. After a short wait my wife was called in to one of the exam rooms where we waited for the doctor. The visit went as good as it could be and everyone was extremely through and helpful. I am sure that we will be returning more frequently and I am comfortable coming here. KUDOs to the team at NYU Langone Ambulatory Care - Garden City

Holy Cow! I went to Sears for my doctor appointment! I get a yearly physical. One of the few retailers with a huge building and enormous covered parking outside of Roosevelt Field Mall. I remember buying tools and household items here. Now I am having blood work done. The renovation was well done. Same big parking lot. The amole parking is really a gem because parking can get tough in Garden City. The building is bright and clean. The sign in areas are large open spaces in the main hallways. You are called in to see your doctor. Everything looks modern. The halls are wide and spacious. Nothing feels cramped. I was only there for my yearly, so I do not know what other services they have. I was told that they can take care of a lot in building. My doctor is always kind and knowledgeable. Never pushy, even though I am resist to taking pills and medication. I try into keep a healthy lifestyle to prevent disease rather that seek treatment once getting it. I didn't see any wrenches or vacuums for sale.

While waiting in exam room they do have electronic sign board with scrolling medical knowledge that you can read while waiting. The board is interactive where you can touch to advance forward. This was my first ever visit to G.I. doctors office to address potential concern and Dr Brandon Rieders [Jr] was very thorough on questions, physical exam and advise on possibilities of cause and all available options forward that are available. We were easily able to agree on next step actions and followup appointment easily made upon exiting. All staff members around him were pleasant and kind to interact with as well. I'm 31 and single living in NY, the billing assistance was not there until I called and spoke with Dr. Rizzano personally and the front desk staff could definitely be more polite when answering calls. We are all busy, but I'm a young scared patient getting out to sleep for the first time. When I call and ask questions, being rude and nasty and interrupting my sentences was not thrilling. I've spoken with Dr. Rizzano enough at this point to know I want and trust him as my doctor but the staff otherwise would have effected my judgement to come here. I'll remove this review after I know it's been seen by the establishment and put up a 5 star, but I thought you should know. I've been on hold for 7 minutes for a simple question after I was rudely interrupted. Very clear whoever I spoke with felt I was unimportant. They also just hung up on me as I'm writing this. I work with physicians myself nothing irks me more than support staff turning patients away with a bad attitude and 0 willingness to help.
